I always make a few cuts through the fat rind before cooking because steaks can sometimes curl, then cook unevenly.

As a former actor I can fully appreciate the time it takes to set them up, walk into frame, then out of frame to turn the camera off, sometimes for just a few seconds of screen time, especially when you're filming by yourself.

Tim, I want my own setup like yours. Its the best. But, I am gonna build it out of foam. Request permission to duplicate? One thing that I might suggest- a vacuum system with a small plumbing pipe of tube that can suck all the ash out in an instant routed to the ground in an instant. flip a switch, vac, off done.
not a good idea. you get a few hot embers. then poof your truck house is on the ground. if you need a vacuum. truck house life might not be the thing for you. tbh.
do it, but make your own twist! things always feel better when you know you created the vision and did your own thing;) especially if you're putting all that effort into building it;)
