- Welcome to the latest episode of Big Trip! Today I am at Clapham Junction on the South Western Main Line and Brighton Main Line where services are seen by South Western Railway, London Overground and Govia Thameslink Railway branded as Southern and Gatwick Express.
Clapham Junction was crazy busy throughout, there are a lot of angles to cover at this station purely because there's something different at every platform. The views towards London are exceptional with the Shard in the background. There's a good deal of variety here too, with only a limited supply of diesel trains and most of it being electric but at an exceptional frequency and variety. There was a nice little bit of freight about here and I definitely enjoyed seeing the station like I've never seen it before. Definitely recommend this station but I don't think anyone has ever heard of this station.

Great video, the sheer amount of trains is amazing. 😀
I admit when I went the 1st time to Clapham Junction I was a bit under prepared however the 2nd time with you Kieran was a lot more fun and hectic. Which is why this station has that reputation of been very busy with trains.
Indeed bud, I agree that it is a crazy station.
Great video!
Thank you! 😀
That depot full of 450s is like a magician's hat but with trains instead of rabbits
Awesome Video Bud :)
Thank you Rob! 😊

Where was the White Gatwick Express Train?? Did it not turn up??
Great Video, I think this station you should do again because this station is the busiest after all.
I will do it again but won't be for a while now.

Answer: SWR has 127 450s
There are 127 450s. Great video!
I was actually at the London end of platform 13 :)
@@albiegamingvideos is. 450/100-127
@@AdventuresByRail377 that's not how subclasses work... There are just more than 99 450/1s!
Another example is 158s - 7xx and 8xx are /0 (not /7 and /8) - so the vehicle numbers fit in with other classes, and 9xx are /9
My bad
Hello, have just asked south-western railway on Twitter how many 450 units they have, they got back to me and they have 127. Hope this helps.
