If stuck in recovery mode, pressing and holding the volume down and home buttons for a few seconds should help get you out of there and boot normally. NB: This has worked on most samsung phones.
Try holding down volume and power button, if it doesn't work do volume up, power button and home button then press down volume button to get to wipe cache partition and press power button then select reboot. Don't worry cache is files that your phone doesn't need and may cause the problem so clearing it may help. It won't erase any data
Ok guys I found a solution but its only temporary. It would allow for you to enter your phone to be able to transfer the data to a new phone. Note it is only temporary because it may freeze and start having the same problem again. Try holding volume up + home + power at the same time for around 10-15 seconds and stop when you see a menu showing wipe partition, apply software update using sd card, apply amd, e.t.c., you must wipe the cache partition (it will not erase any of your data). Afterwards go to the top of the menu and go to reboot device. After this, the device will start trying to start up and will be stuck in a power on loop showing the samsung logo and then turning off again. When you reach this state you must hold volume up the entire time and try experimenting with the volume up button. This may include holding power and volume up or volume down. After a while you may start seeing past the samsung logo (in my experience it would open with the samsung galaxy s7 active logo and then after that another samsung logo and after that the AT&T Logo). When you see the logo to AT&T or your phone provider then you are very close to getting your phone temporarily open. In this stage you must continue trying to volume up or volume down while leaving your phone charging into a wall outlet. Eventually it will pass this stage and your phone would be ready to use. This exact problem just happened to my phone last week. It actually turned on one time but then it froze and turned off. I thought it was my battery so I tried to replace the battery today but no fix. Anyone have a fix please let me know, Thanks
My phone did this, I am stuck on a screen where it says "recovery booting", I have been able to go to a downloading screen and a warning screen but I cannot get the phone to work, it just goes between these different screens, I have been messing with it for hours and cannot get anything to work.
This happen with me also…. U wanna do is when u come to blue screen which said “install update” u have to leave the mobile and don’t do any think for about 10 to 15 min or it may take a little less time.. it will automatically show the reset options.. in this u have to factory reset the mobile and then click on reboot… and u are good to go the mobile will be fine and turn on fine as usual. U can thank me later ;)
This just happened to my mom's uncle's great cousin's cat's sister's phone....any help? I dont like reading really long comments either, it's too informal & helpful.
my cell phone is the s6 edge g925l, it has the same problem, it stays in this looping and nothing in the system starts, it is in binary 4 and I know that there is no way to go back to 3 because of the failure
Did everything here, plus replaced battery, new battery will not stay charged. Only getting the little tiny blue lettering in top corner stating: recovery booting. Is there a way to recover from a sd card made from a fully functional s7 edge (same as one doing this)?
