Idk, most talented rapper for sure. Best rapper is a stretch considering the brutal content of the music that made him famous. As much as I loved his music growing up, something about glorifying the murder of your baby mama in front of your child, so far as including your child's vocals in the tracks just rubs me wrong as I grow older.

I thought the same everytime someone reacts to em video it says (First time hearing) and they get plenty of views. That's the case with everyone nowadays i guess.
its pretty easy to just miss massive songs now. ive been using spotify since 2014 so i never listen to the radio. The only 3 ways i hear about new music is through spotify, youtube trending or out and about. This is the world these kids grew up in, back in day when i grew up radio raped songs to death but its very different now its easy to miss out songs that seamlessly blew up if youre basically curating your music selection yourself

It's not just that he's rapping fast, or throwing out 100's of words a minute; it's that there is a message to what he's saying, and some are hitting at multiple level's. He talked about when he decided this is what he wanted to do, he started reading the dictionary b/c he wanted every word at his disposal. Man might well have the largest vocabulary on the planet, and has a platform to use it.
He doesn't have the largest measured vocabulary in rap. Busdriver and Aesop Rock do.

I grew up with this stuff as a kid in the 90s and early 2000s (I consider the best time period for rap), and it’s sad cause kids that grow up now have no idea how good artists were at that time. And ifs funny cause you have artists today saying they better than people like Em but don’t realize how insanely stupid they sound. The music today is absolute trash compared to then and except for a small few. Cool to see you guys discovering and appreciating people like Em and others from that time, because they definitely deserve the appreciation

I thought about who Lakim shabazz is when I first heard this song so I looked it up. Lakim shabazz was a rapper in the late 80"s that had a song called "slapbox with God".... So Eminem paid homage to this guy because In rap god, Eminem asks people who's got long enough arms to slap box with him aka the rap god..... That's how deep most of Eminem's bars go, that's absolutely mind blowing

A lot of people don't realize a lot of his songs do things like that .it will go over them like he's just rapping something but not realizing it all ties into things . And a lot of times it will tie back in at another point of the song . His depth in the songs are what make them so great. I remember the whole mgk thing and people missed so many hidden parts because they don't understand how it connects. And when people do that's when they are like wtf how did I miss that. Because all his cuts are not as obvious as people want them to be. They are a lot deeper but who ever the song is to or references they know!!

I was talking to someone the other day about him just having fun at this point. I don’t think he cares about making huge radio hits or “simpler” tracks anymore, he’s just rapping his ass off. The rhyme schemes, flow changes, wordplay, etc on his new stuff is insane. I love lyrics so I’m here for it, even though I’ll always love the original Em stuff I grew up on.

It's not just his total control of flow and speed, his word play is unreal.
Alot of people don't give Em credit due to the fact that he raps about different things then most other rappers. But they can't deny the LYRICS. Whether you relate to what he is rapping about or not, listening to his wordplay and double/triple entendres will have you going back 5 or 6 times trying to piece it all 2gether. I grew up in the 80s-90s listening to some of the best lyricists to ever do it, and Em is Top 5, without a shadow of a doubt. #Top5DOA

I don’t care what anybody says Eminem is the best rapper alive PERIOD. He can literally take any subject and turn it into a full song without repeats/hooks. Lyrically he is a genius he has mentioned reading a dictionary as a child which I have done myself. He can tie words into the sickest beats that most people couldn’t even follow just listening to you much less rapping to.
Makes me appreciate him even more with today’s music and the lack of word choices these rappers use and the fact that they all use auto tune I literally cannot tell who is who anymore because I stopped listening it all sounds like the same guy every time I turn on the radio nothing is original same damn beats flow and storyline as if someone stopped going to school after the fifth grade and they can’t seem to come up with any more words to tell a story differently than the last person.
