Got a Brave Forebearance Demo/Chain about 30 minutes before work and went to test it at Shuro Chi and it immediately crashed my game. So far 10/5 gun; it's so powerful it crashes your game
I just hate that Chain Reaction is getting a nerf soon..
That's the one I love as well. I bronzed it and then hung it on my wall
@@hhaste Know how you feel, though it's only getting nerfed to make it shine more on heavies, and to be able to apply it to more weps, and I highly doubt it'll be massacred on specials :)

@@denny8422nah, as soon as I saw they put Forbearance n the loot pool of a game mode that was more accessible to the entire player base I knew they were gonna nerf it’s main attraction. It won’t be anywhere near as potent come TFS. It certainly won’t clear rooms the way it does now. So better have fun with it while we can.
I used Forebearance to unlock Forbearance
The main reason forbearance og will still exist is for its origin trait, making it splashable in builds that don’t care about grenades or certain raid scenarios where you are trying to save abilities and mod slots.
Also always remember the longer your grenade cool down the less energy you will get from Demolitionist. And the shortest cool down will give you way more energy. So try and pick short cool down grenades .
If your using it to reload your weapon, personally I'm going for the beefier grenades
dusk field renewal (yes I know it's dark technically fight me) goes crazy

(Remember it has a cooldown on refunding energy, so don't throw them both at the same time)

Just remember that demo is different on all grenade types now and dependant on the type of grenade you have it could be more then 10 kills to recharge it fully
Yeah i used to be bummed out by that change but it makes sense that it would be a bit harder to get a better grenade back. Anyways it doesn't really feel like much with a chain reaction Forbearance and with some other ability regen pairing it could still get insane pretty quickly.
This weapon will be a mainstay in my Shinobu’s build. With skips on a low cooldown already, it’s a perfect pairing (despite skips not being the best endgame grenades you sure can put a lot of them out). As always, thanks for another fine breakdown. Always appreciate your work.

I love the fact that there is a different reason to get this one than the crafted one. I'm totally fine with having both a solid shiny and a crafted one. Multiple purpose weapons are just so rad.
This is why I love these freaking videos. I have the god roll crafted Raid Forbearance so I didn't even have BRAVE Forbearance on my radar.
Now I absolutely do.

Thanks for the great video. I’ve been loving the demo roll with sunstar on Loc. with all fragments built for ionic traces and running stacks on stack with elemental charge it almost feels like prenerf fallen sunstar.

My guy, I've been focusing Forbearance all week. I've sharded at least 30, and I've only gotten two with Chain Reaction. One has Stats for All, so I'll take it, but the struggle is real lol
i've been edge transit attuned since into the light started and still haven't gotten the envious + bns roll, i've gotten about 50 of the exact same impulse + full court one though

Also worth noting the interactions with Strand and Stasis, particularly on Warlock, where your abilities are incredible and you probably want to use your kinetic slot on a primary that matches your subclass. Demo + Chain Reaction already makes a bleak watcher build much stronger, for example.

I got a demolitionist + chain reaction roll from my first Onslaught chest this week. It’s safe to say I immediately pivoted to go for Hammerheads afterwards (I already have the crafted raid one, so this was the only roll I was looking for).
Thanks for keeping the solo player in mind, CoolGuy. For me, this is my best shot at a decently-rolled Forebearance.

at first I was not going to "Farm" Forbearance as I have a good (not crafted) raid version. based on this I love the nade build and farmed a bit and got one with demolitionist + BnS. not a 10/10 but should do the trick. now I can get ready for Blast Furnace and Luna's which are the 2 I have wanted the most. Great Video as usual!

Can you make a summarization video about these weapons all together and which one should be a main focus, which one is a good well rounded weapon to grind and auch?
Seeing that you need to atune them with a cost, it would be nice to know when to focus the time qnd cost of geinding.
I've only done Vow once because I don't feel like going to LFG and doing raids anymore, but on my only clear I got Forbearance, Cataclysmic and Deliverance. With those guns unlock, I was able to farm the red borders from the first chest, 3 chests a week for a year.
Demo def makes it better than the raid one, but demo works differently depending on which grenade you have on now. Firebolt grenade (shortest cd) takes fewer kills to refill than Solar grenade (longest cd) because it's based on the cooldown of the grenade. So watch out for that.

I really enjoy your viewpoint because you're a very similar player to me, while at the same time having very different opinions.
I'm right there with you on never getting a decent Forbearance from the raid. So I have been grinding the hell out of this thing and am very pleasantly surprised by the awesome rolls it has!
I don't raid often because I only do it with friends that have jobs and different available times, so I'm hunting for the "One everyone has had for years" but I'm gonna be looking for the CoolGuy signature now as well, thank you for the video!

I ran Salvagers with Demo x Chain Reaction because Vow messed with my seizures. When friends, clan mates had Forbearance & eventually the crafted one.
Since the Brave Loot release I haven't got a single roll that is perfect for me. Slightly concerning haha! Well I guess RNGesus/Lootcifer was looking out for me with Forbearance! Not only did I get a Demo x Chain Reaction Roll with a Velocity MW, I also got an Ambitious Assassin x Chain Reaction with a Reload MW too! My perfect roll & the backup roll too!
Still need to get lucky with a Shiney version so I can enhance the perks later on but for right now? I'm seriously happy!

I have both your ideal rolls (demo+well and demo+chain). I think the demo-chain roll is currently best, but given the upcoming nerf to chain reaction, the wellspring roll may come out on top….but considering higher-tier content and player build-crafting skills/knowledge, having a damage perk may actually prove to be the better way to go in order to secure those kills, you know, particularly when you factor in ammo economy and weapon damage verses enemy health

I’ve been searching for the demo/ wellspring roll all week.
An interesting roll is Demolitionist and Desperate Measures. Get a kill with this, throw a grenade and then fire again with extra damage. You get grenade energy back quickly, and on an arc subclass, you can get Ionic Traces from the grenade kills.
You mention an Assassin's Cowl Hunter wanting something like this but I have a hard time putting down my One-Two Punch Shotgun when on that build. With the nerf to double special, it's hard to justify getting rid of that level of damage for some blind-based utility build, especially when you're already going invisible, blowing up spawns for free, and blinding/nuking tough targets just by melee + dodge spamming.

I've only done the raid a few times and have only gotten a couple of weapon drop from it but non really special. My "luck" is armour... I love wave-framed GLs and Deafening Whisper was my favorite for a very long time. I knew I've gotten one GL but since it didn't have autoload I just stashed it in my Vault.
Stumble on a video ca one month ago, saying Forbearance is such a great weapon etc, etc... So I watched it, ok ambitious assassin and chain reaction, ok let's have a look in ny Vault...

Disruption break pairs well with lucky pants malf / wardens. Double duty as add clear and to even further buff your HCs.
I have a Dimensional Hypotrochoid heavy I enhanced with Unrelenting/Chain Reaction and it is pretty damn good. Going to try it with a stasis class this weekend
I got a Demo/Chain roll and almost sharded it immediately but glad I held onto it. I might have to try a goofy arc titan build with heat seaking lightning nades and HOIL
I like it because I didn't have to grind vow for my ambitious/chain roll.
I am still gonna go for the demo roll eventually but I'm focusing mountaintop for now.
I for one am really glad as in my 10 plus clears of vow I never even got a single forbearance to drop let alone a good roll or red borders, so it helps me. And I’m trying to get two of my friends into the game since the new light changes and just being able to get them a great ad clear launcher almost immediately out the gate instead of having to do a raid or farm something like iron banner for a tusk of the boar will be nice for them. People often don’t see the big picture when they complain about a gun like this being included.
I got a demo + CR almost the moment this video dropped. The stars aligned. I also got a Shiny midnight coup with explosive payload and Kinetic tremors / Zen moment in the 4th. I am still in disbelief from last night.

I've been running a renewal grasp hunter with Bloodline and a New Pacific Epitaph with Demo Collective Action. It's becoming one of my favorite weapons from this year, and it seems like everyone has forgotten about it.
This would be fantastic team support paired with healing grenades. I could excel on a blade barrage hunter with this as the world's knifiest medic. Good call out I'll chase one

CoolGuy, if you ever need someone to run a raid, any raid, I'll jump at the chance. I never get to run them because I'm not some meta-only tryhard. I like playing the raids not for grinding or loot but for the story, lore, and experience. People who raid don't like that so I seldom get to do them. It sucks because I really want to end my Destiny tenure having left nothing undone. I want my guardian to be the lore-accurate guardian when I fight the Witness.
I like the original raid variant more, because of exactly the origin trait. I use it with the arc warlock, with a vesper of radius + the Beacons fragment. I have Unterelenting and Chain and it adds just what the Arc warlock lacks - healing. A primary with Kinetic tremors, a blinding / healing special and a DPS heavy (rocket / exotic / linear). On the Arc Warlock you can easily change the exotic to fit what you need - more super energy (Geomags), more blinding (Vesper), more abilities (Fallen Sunstar), longer super + addclear (Crown).
The brave addition is good to have too, especially because of enhanceable perks later.

i just pulled my first brave version and instantly got a ambitious/chain reaction, reload MW roll, instantly better than the mid roll that i have from the raid that i never went to get a better one
I love unrelenting + chain reaction on the Raid version because it keeps me constantly healed up in GMs and other tough content along with Souldrinker
as someone that has a demo chain reaction shiny roll. This is so much better than anything I have ever used. This beats old for out of the water. On my stasis hunter with renewal, i am getting back grenades like every 5 seconds. THIS IS ON A DARK SUBCLASS WHAT ON EARTH IS THIS ROLL!
Mine dropped, shiny, with unrelenting, tricorn, demo, wellspring, and all the other stuff you'd want on it.
I wasn't looking forward to this since I have the crafted but I did a double take on that demo/wellspring and vaulted it.
What I really want to try out is a Forbearance with demo and chain reaction or wellspring to get the grenade back super quick. Then pair it with a Midnight Coup that has Desperate measures and explosive payload. Getting the grenade back so easily to trigger Desperate Measures on Midnight Coup could be really crazy.
I'm definitely gonna keep my old Ambitious Reaction crafted one, as an add-clear sustain monster. But I'm also gonna go for a Demo Wellspring and a Demo Reaction BRAVE ones, as energy siphon, then choose one after I've used both post-nerf.

Just want to say I'm also on Xbox and this has been my main game since launch. I'm always down to help with raids and content. I know we have similar gaming times since we've matched up in crucible a fair bit.
Appreciate your take. But all you have to do to get the pattern is run the raid 5 times or less - it was by far the most impactful weapon of the raid, so no need to chase anything else first.

Fr i got a demo chain reaction shiny and after three 50 round onslaught clears i already have over 1 thousand kills on it. Its insane. I also have been using spark of beacons with it. Its so godlike i felt comfortable using double special again. Ive been using it to create a lord shaxx build that was inspired by his counter attack at the battle of twilight gap. Arc is really hard to make powerful in endgame activities rn but this grenade launcher singlehandedly made it viable.
Been looking for a succession with Demo for the same utility. 27% grenade regen, paired with redirection it makes it worth it to kill red bars for the bonus damage shot. Forbearance with demo wellspring is same same but different. Ease of use with a wave GL, but with the sniper, u get the bonus damage shot in ur back pocket for a yellow bar/boss
I hope they release a void one with demo and wellspring. Voidlock with verity’s brow has grenades that do super damage.

Demo Chain is great for easier stuff when the 1st wave just kills everything.
I'm still unsure what is best between Desperate Measures and OFA (with demo)
I often throw a grenade and then use forbearance so Desperate measure is often up vs OFA which seems better for a follow up shot (OFA Ambitious is probably my better OFA roll)
Fortissimo is one of my most used Kinetic weapons because it one-shots most ads and gives me just so so much grenade energy. Being a shotgun as well, demo gives more grenade energy than most other weapons. Used to be 20% before it got stealth-nerfed. That was 28% grenade energy with wellspring per bullet. And with forbearance, I can only imagine that being way better!
Demo/Wellspring is going to be huge with prismatic around the corner.
Demo with Golden Tricorn wouldn't be bad either since it helps you get that grenade to proc the 50% increase of GT.
enhanced unrelenting with enhanced chain reaction will deliver more healing than raid forbearance, you just have to sacrifice AA for it - and you still have the ability energy origin trait.
I just got a shiny with demo/chain reaction along with desperate measures on the other side. So I could use demo to get my nade, get the nade kill to pop up my damage buff to ×2, AND it will reload my launcher. So I can basically get a ball rolling with it using desperate measures and demo. And even if that isn't great, I mean, I still have chain reaction
So many use cases for demo + wellspring, the orgin trait just makes it even better. Not the roll I was orginally hunting for but as soon as it dropped, something clicked.
That Roll gonna be so good in final shape. Gonna have such a good Synergy with the prismatic subclass.

Honestly that's better. Ambitious assassin is overrated. Reload speed is fast enough you don't need two shots.
@@zeromech1450 I've always felt that Ambitious Assassin is the poorman's Demo/Slideways when it comes to GLs. Their base reload and role in the game just doesn't necessitate the need for two quick shots.
Demo/Chain is literally the God roll for the Brave version, and I have the Vow crafted version with AA/Chain.
@@CapsFan I got a shiny variant with this roll. I never played vow so I never got the original. But I get the feeling this demo version with this origin trait is at the very least equal to if not stronger than the original.
This combo was the first one I got drop after the curated Shiny 😋
My first roll for this gl (that wasn't the curated roll) was demo + chain reaction, and now I will never use another grenade launcher again

Demo/Well Forbearance has been a blast with my Arc Titan and looks fine AF with any of the forge shaders. New Age Black Armory is a personal favourite on my non-shiny god roll.
I got the demo and wellspring roll. Grenades forever, and that is with none enhanced perks.
With the nerf to chain reaction (even though it should still be good) I'm def gonna try demo/OFA. or tricorn

My sleeper build has been Shinobu's Vow with a Demo/Chain Reaction Forebearance. It's been glued to my hands. Shaxx has no right to tell me to throw more grenades.
I’m late to this vid, but I am soooo not late to Spark of Beacons. I’ve been using that since the rework. It’s an absolutely beautiful fragment that I don’t see ppl talk about enough. I love using glaives and Nezzy’s is my fav. SoB makes it so much easier to clean house with. Couple ranged kills or ability to get amped, kill somethin n the middle of the pack with ranged shot from Nezzy’s Whisper, then go ham with melee. It’s just a different loop and spices things up a bit.
i've almost written off all the onslaught weapons... but ok. i think i will farm this.
Small correction. Wellspring isn't giving you 8% to grenade its split between uncharged abilities and since enhanced gives 9% its 3% to grenade unless the other abilities are charged than irs either 6% or 9%. So 19% up to potential of 23%
