    Faith No More is one of those bands that was too damn good for the time they came out. Mike Patton is a hugely underrated vocalist

      I love his vocals when he actually sings, all these screaming and vomit voices in between I am not sure who and to what creature he is trying to appeal to XD In this video alone he sounds and moves like he had a stroke or is about to.
      And those keyboard mixed in parts also are completely offputting ... Also seems like I heard some odd samples mixed in either from the keyboard or a bassist was slapping some high notes in, which again was completely off key and off rhythm from the rest of the band.
      This really sounds like a complete mess, unless you are def enough to not care.

      In Brazil Faith No More was considered one of the greatest bands of all time! To the point they released albums here first!!! They were an IMMENSE success around here :-) I love them and will love them forever! For me one of the best acts of all time!

      There is not much vocal range, he is simply covering up all that mess with more mess which is screaming, rapping and that vomiting voice he throws in so hard. The vocals in this video is just a mess ...

      Elizabeth ( the charismatic voice ) is a very open minded opera singer with a talent to show people songs they have been listening to for decades like it's their first time .. That's a gift and one that brought me to Mike's amazing Leno performance and now this chill shiat .. Now we just need to see Elizabeth react to this after his monster midlife criyyassssses...

      @@SpaceFairyness nice, alot of people bark cause she stops the songs but ultimately it's there as a gift when you are looking for a true spectrum of vocals. I watched it about 9 months ago now and I've seen so much of Mike's stuff now and am amazed at his talent. And I was 16 when he joined fnm and slammed us with The Real Thing ... guess I wasn't ready back then 🤦‍♂️

    I was listening to a lot of extreme music when FNM were getting big, and yet I always considered Patton the voice of my youth. I suppose that with his versatility he seemed to me to embody 𝘢𝘭𝘭 the tendencies of the things I was listening to. The funny thing is that even when I listen to his later work--even the "mellow" stuff like Mondo Cane--I still get that strange youthful feeling. Wishing him well with his current midlife issues.

      I'll never understand how FNM gets so much credit for spawning the douchiest butt rock subgenre of all time. FNM and Pattons many, many projects are far greater than the whole numetal genres collective catalog.

    • @FallinRaven
      @FallinRaven Před 7 měsíci

      @@dylanherne6093it was a time of experimentation for music. Genre bending. The idea that there’s only a finite amount of ways to make it big in music was flipped on its head in the late 80s through the 90s. As for the “douchiest butt rock sub genre of all time” who wasn’t a douche? You’re on a FNM video. One of the douchiest bands of the 90s. General Patton is major douche. Love them though 😂
