DIY Mini Woodstove First Fire and Install

  • I did some more work on the stove . Added fire bricks , a chimney and the skirts on the door. Gave it a high temp heat painting and do a couple test fires. It really gives off good heat. Thanks for watching and hope you enjoy.

    Makes me think about I sand battery I was dreaming up using a sea can for the sand box and some well pipe for an inside chimney with a old water heater for a fuel box. lol stay warm buddy

      It's doable. Just takes time and money. This is pretty thin steel , the sand battery would hold the heat longer after the fire went down . I'd like to insulate and side this. Probably a roof too . One day. Cheers

    You folks seen how much metal is lately? Where are all you DIY guys finding this stuff? A rocket stove video, the 4x4 stainless piece is $250-400...... would like a stove less than retail. About to settle for a barrel with a stack lol.

      Ya prices are up here. I have been collecting metals for a while. I just scrapped a 40 yard bin full of steel. This was donated to the bin from someone that didn't want to go to the scrapyard for a couple things. The build video is on my channel. Cheers
