This works Mobile Devices or Touch Screens
You can use the scrubber on bottom and slide, but it’s not easy to get to the exact spot.
Instead, while watching CZcams videos on your iOS devices, double-tap on the screen to the right to Fast Forward and Double-tap on the left
Double tap once: 10 secs
Double tap twice: 20 secs
Keep tapping to go forward or backwards in 10 second increments

It's funny I just found out about this feature by trying it intuitively on my PC and I was So Surprised when I noticed what it did. I do not click on the left or right side of the screen as you are showing in this video Mike, what I did and do is that I PRESS THE LEFT BUTTON OR RIGHT BUTTON, and the video skips 5 sec. forward or backwards!. This is SOO COOL. I have been asking CZcams for years to add a quick skip or rewind button, and never gotten a reply. From your video I learned that I can also do in on my android device. Yeah :) Thanks again Mike

I just wanted to add that over a year ago I also discovered that if you press the SPACE BAR during a video that is playing the video is PAUSED and if you press the spacebar again, it will continue playing. I find it much easier than using the mouse (Obviously this is only possible on a PC or a tablet that has a physical keyboard) :)

@@BigDaddy-666 Can you provide more details about the issue you are having as I do not understand. Have you tried closing down CZcams and then reopening?
@@BigDaddy-666 CZcams may have removed the thumbnail previews on mobile devices, but I can confirm they are still on CZcams on a desktop browser such as Google Chrome.
I'm gonna try that and report back :)

Holy smokes Batman, everyone who watches the Joe Rogan Experience needs to know this. I can't tell you how many times I missed something in a 3 hour podcast, and I was stuck trying to move that evil little red dot back by just a hair, failing, and then bouncing back and forth trying to get it exactly where I wanted it.

How do I change the rewind time from 10 seconds to 5 seconds? It used to be 5 seconds until an update and now it’s really bothering me...
I am not aware of any settings or key combinations to change this. 🍀
Mine says 10 seconds also. Yes, it changed with a previous update some time ago. Good question though.
What about on the web, on a desktop? I see on my phone/tablet the little symbols for FF/RW, but not on my laptop. The scrubber is super annoying, especially if it's a long video!

This tutorial was for using CZcams on a desktop browser. You the keyboard shortcuts J, K, L to move forward(J), rewind(L), pause /play(K) . You can also use Spacebar to play/pause. 👍🍀

Definitely not obvious! So grateful for this info. How about if you’re watching on a laptop or other non-tappable device... stuck with the scrubber?
Use the J,K,L keys + Spacebbar.
J = Rewind
K= Pause
L= Forward
Spacebar = Stop/Play

You made mention of something being easy I've been trying to figure this out for months CZcams is incredibly difficult no one ever mentioned how to rewind. I've been sliding that red line which is absolutely a pain in the arse. The simplest of things no one is going to be able to figure these things out I don't know why there is no instruction no glossary no nothing
One of my favorite quotes is 'What's obvious to you is amazing to others'...
Here's a good tip for you the next time you are watching a CZcams Video (video must be playing), press the Shift Key + ? and you should see a little 'Cheat Sheet' of CZcams commands that you can use. 👍

Maybe Mike can pin this ? For PC to fast forward or rewind . "J" =is rewind "K" is pause (space bar is easier not sure why they did this one too) and "L" =fast-forward . It is not case sensitive .
it used to be comm "," and period "." for FF and RW . i preferred that !

Thanks! That is correct. This will only work on devices with touch screens. You can use keyboard shortcuts such as J,K,L on Macs & PCs to control playback. 👍

The scrubber slider just got changed. On July 8th, it's somehow harder to use now. It was hard before but now it barely moves. There's some kind of update and it's trash

Golden Bowl You have to double-tap on the phone screen OUTSIDE the fast-forward icon, to the RIGHT side of the fast-forward icon but not on the fast-forward itself. It works for me on my iPhone 6.

Asiha sometimes if you don’t hit just the right spot it will seem like it doesn’t work. Tap around a couple different spots and it should work. 👍
I wish it was old school rewind and fast forward, vhs style lol. Not the 10 second skips. It would be nice if CZcams made the feature and added an option in the settings to choose between the two ways.
You can also change the increment from 10s to 15s for example.

There is another way in which small thumbanils are shown, how do you do that?
It's not allowing me to use time bar to skip by minutes or seconds.
If you're on PC, (J) will bring you back 10 seconds., and (L) will bring you forward 10 seconds. The left and right arrow keys will bring you back or forward 5 seconds.

I can’t skip forward or back using any method, it just jumps back to the point i am at. I’m in airplay mode
My recommendation would be to force-quit the CZcams app. Power off your device and power back on and get again. 👍
It don't work on you tube on TV though.
Mine is glitching, it the scrubber jerks back and forth and the skip add button blinks

On a desktop use your keyboard to control the videos.
J to Rewind. (tap for faster)

How to fix this on PC? I have Windows 7 Ultimate, Sliding the slider used to work for fast forward and reverse but a couple days ago CZcams implemented STUPID stuff and now if you try to move the slider you get a small (/) (not allowed sign).

On pc double tapping only maximizes and minimizes the screen. How do you do it on pc?

Where? That's what I came looking for! It shows up on my phone/tablet, but NOT my laptop - Maybe a keyboard shortcut?
Why can't they just allow you to rewind to the begining with one push on the arrow? It's greyed out. My video is 8 hours long so my only option is to drag the progress bar, which can be tricky depending on what screen protector you have. Tapping with long videos will take all day.
Use the Home (Beginning) or End (End) Keys on your keyboard and if you do not have those keys, try the FN + Arrow Keys (Fn + ) 🍀

@@silva0003 Clicking on the scrubber bar and dragging to the left and right should allow you to scroll from left to right and beginning to end regardless of how long the video. I just tested on an 8 hr video and I was able to drag the scrubber quickly all over the video with relative ease.

Sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with this. It sounds like an isolated issue so I’m not sure how to help you exactly, but I might recommend making sure your browser is up to date and try doing a full shutdown and restart of your computer. If the problem happens again, try opening a new browser and test using the same video URL. Also try to determine whether it is only happening on specific videos or if it is happening on many. 👍

For non-touchscreen devices you can use keyboard shortcuts :
J : Rewind (tap multiple times to speed up)
K: Pause/Play
L: Fast Forward (tap multiple times to speed up)

Im using a new note10+ and this feature crashd after a few uses. Neither in the browser nor in the app there is any fast forward or backward anymore. And big shit: the little buttons for fast moving are gone!!!! I want them back!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking for the reason double tap would stop working. It stopped when our WiFi connection name was changed, same WiFi equipment. Settings appear unchanged Video 1 of hopefully not too many.
I don’t think there is a connection between the Wi-Fi and the YT app functions other than if you were not getting a good strong signal when you tested. Try shutting down all apps including CZcams. Power down phone and restart and test again. 👍

If you drag the scrubber/time bar at the bottom of the video you should see the preview. In the video, I am mostly tapping the screen forward and backward to fast forward and rewind. Please let me know if you need additional help. Thanks, Mike
Any clue if this can be done with wireless earbuds of any sort? I just got some Google Pixel buds and there are some on the ear controls but not sure if it would work with youtube. Evidently podcast apps may let you do this. But I listen to youtube talks a lot while I am riding my bike and it would be nice to be able to rewind to catch something I missed.

For some reason i can not go direclty into a minute video only by double pressing which is lame and dragging the line, so let's say i wanna go/press to min 12 on a 30 min long video but this option is not available for me anymore wth just by dragging or double tap the screen, how do i fix this please.

What sound effects? Double tapping on screen on mobile should only fast forward.

If you click on the Gear Icon while watching a video (not an ad), you can increase the Playback Speed up to 2x 👍
Used to be able to adjust it to 15-20-30 seconds . CZcams always trying to make things shitty again.

@@marcelguarachi Yeah, seems like an iOS Bug (or possibly CZcams app). Are you using an Apple Keyboard? I can confirm that I am experiencing the same issue with an Apple Magic Keyboard and a brand new iPad Air. The Spacebar works to play/pause and if you press and hold the CMD key in the CZcams app, you will see the Keyboard Shortcut menu with the Arrows, but they are not currently working. I’m guessing it gets fixed either in next iOS update or if it’s a CZcams issue, then when the App updates next. 🍀🍀🍀
@@MikeMurphyCo i have the new ipad air and the logitech keyboard. i agree with you that it could have been the newest update or youtube made a change. it’s definitely easy to just tap the screen to rewind or fast forward , but it’s frustrating when you get used to something and someone decides to change it

Tap on the screen or look for the full-screen arrow in the bottom-right corner and tap on it.

Is this a new issue you are experiencing? What version iOS are you using?
My recommendation would be to force-quit all apps. Power down completely and wait at least 30 seconds before powering back on. Then go to App Store and check to see if there is an update for CZcams app. Update if available and the re-pen YT and try again. 👍

I used to do this on my old phone to avoid ads.....it dosen't work on my new phone.... any one know why?
You can not skip all ads, but tapping to fast forward and rewind should still work on mobile devices.
