- My tribute to the 45 years of one, if not, the most celebrated superhero adaptation. For a whole generation, he made people believe a man could fly, and even 45 years later, his influence is still felt on Superman.
The first true cinematic Superman on and off screen...Christopher Reeve who set the gold standard for super hero movies. RIP. You are truly missed.❤
Absolutely
The LAST TRUE SUPERMAN & CLARK KENT.
JUST PERFECT.
THAT GUY- CHRISTOPHER , INTELLIGENT AWESOME ACTOR, LOOKEDAND FELT THE PART

The Superman!
My favorite super hero
The best superman of all time and my favorite
Well, one of the best certainly
El mejor superman.
@@GiovanniAlckmimRussojust the best.
@@Alucard12456 10 actors, and soon 11 have played Superman in live action. Reeve is great, but let's not pretend the others, be it before or after him don't exist
@@GiovanniAlckmimRusso and? 200 could have played superman I don’t care, I only judge what I see. And Reeves is the only one who can separate superman from Clark. They others are superman with glasses. End of the debate.
The greatest Superman of all time no one will ever be better then Christopher reeve never ever
@russell kellet absolutely without a doubt.❤️💛💙
Christopher Reeve was the Definitive Superman alongside Kevin Conroy and Arleen Sorkin.
Well, we have other actors who were and are just as great as he was in the role
Damn skippy
✊🏾
A true Superman on and off screen. We miss you Chris!!!!
Mr. Christopher Reeves is my # 1 Superman of all time. Plus he has the best Superman theme. We miss you and love you❤❤❤
Reeve, not Reeves.
FUCK, someone CLONE this guy and bring him back !
No matter how many actors play the role, CHrishopher Reeve WAS Superman.Everything in him screams it.
Did you like his cameo in The Flash? People have complained a lot, but I loved that we got to see four versions of the character in the same movie
@@GiovanniAlckmimRusso I loved it, then I hated it. lol
2 reasons :
1- HORRIBLE Cgi, terrible, trash. It was cool to see him , but... it was very strange at the same time.
2- They gave NICHOLAS CAGE an action scene (very short, yes, but still...), while Christopher was there, just standing..... come on ! I wanted to see HIM kicking some ass.lol
If the CGI was PERFECT (HE deserves it, and "we" can do it) and he was DOING something, I would have cried even more, lolololol.
Maybe in the future. :)
@@RoChede not the whole CGI was poorly done. I mean yeah, when he comes closer to the camera it's clear it's a CGI model with a deep fake of Reeve's face, but when the camera turns around to show their world falling apart and when we get a closeup of his, then it's great. But I agree it needed to be finished, still it was amazing to see both him and Helen Slater.
2 - come on, Christopher Reeve had four movies while Nicolas Cage wasn't able to have his own movie. And that scene was fantastic
I know, wish they clone him I want to see more movies of him. I can only watch Superman and brought to much joy in my heart❤
Brandon Routh came close I was actually happy to however again Hollywood screwed up
The greatest casting in cinema history.
As was William Shatner, the only Captain Kirk.
Chris was, is, and always will be simply the best!
This really gets me emotional. This man was my entire childhood which now seems so long ago yet it doesn’t. The BEST Superman ever hands down.
Yup I was born in 1980and I agree with what you Said... 💯
Thank you CHRISTOPHER REEVE SUPERMAN you made my childhood happy
“And over the last few years we have heard a lot about something called ‘family values’. And like many of you, I have struggled to figure out what that means. And since my accident, I've found a definition that seems to make sense. I think it means that we're all family. And that we all have value.”
- Christopher Reeve, speaking at the Democratic National Convention in 1996.
What a Super Man.
I saw the original in the theater with my grandmother in Manhattan. It's one of my favorite childhood memories.
“You Will Believe A Man Can Fly”
There will never be another..
Christopher was and will always be Superman.
Others may try, but there will never be anyone as big as him to fill his shoes and wear the cape.
Long live and love and miss Christopher.
Our true and iconic “Man Of Steel”. 🙌🏻
He certainly is one of the best to have played Superman, but from the other 9 actors who played Superman in live action there are those who did just great as Reeve did. Like George Reeves, for example, who came before Reeve.
GREATEST SUPERMAN ACTOR EVER CHRISTOPHER REEVE
One of the best actors that have played Superman
My father says that Christopher Reeve is the best Superman actor, and he is still irreplaceable...👍🙂

A great tribute to Christopher Reeve, the one who made us believe that a man could fly. Christopher Reeve truly was Superman, and still is even after his passing. Rest in peace Christopher Reeve, for your legacy as Superman will never die. Christopher Reeve is arguably the best Superman of all time.
Well, other actors played the role as well as he did, but he is certainly of the best actors to have played Superman
The Best Superman Ever,We Always Luv U,Chris 😍💪
Certainly one of the better actors to have played the role
every time I hear this theme I think of the one and only Christopher Reeve ripping his shirt open showing the S
No es una S
Es el símbolo de la esperanza.
@@chavo1976-yw7thActually in the comics it was a symbol of the house of El, at least during the Silver Age.
Don't forget the beautiful love theme too 3:26 😊
RIP Christopher Reeve 🙏😔. The best Superman ever lived.
The best Superman...., always and forever!
Certainly one of the better actors to have played the role

The Greatest Superman Tribure theme of all time
Christopher Reeve is the best Superman actor, and he is still irreplaceable...👍
"THE BEST SUPERMAN"
He'll always be my favorite Superman RIP Christopher Reeve - The Man of Steel
Teenager when i watched Superman to Superman IV, it was the movies of the 80's, i was a real fan of the Reeve's adventures.
He was Superman onscreen as well as in real life. His courage as he faced everything that life threw at him should inspire us just as much as his superheroics onscreen did.
Nobody played Superman better than Christopher Reeve. He was born to play Superman 🦸♂️. 👍👏🙂💪
Better? Debatable. But as great as he did we certainly had.
@@GiovanniAlckmimRusso He was the best Superman we had in our lifetime.
@@ramonewilliams1115 George Reeves did an astounding job playing Superman, so does Tyler Hoechlin. Acting wise, Brandon Routh and Henry Cavill almost come closer. They have the acting chops, but were screwed by the script and their respective directors. Gerard Christopher and Dean Cain also did a good job, although their acting wasn't that great sometimes, but still they played Superman pretty well in their respective shows.
@@GiovanniAlckmimRusso Yeah, but Christopher Reeve had "IT". Dean Cain was good in Louis &Clark and Henry Cavill was probably the closest thing to playing Superman. I still love Christopher Reeve, to me he was the best in my personal opinion.
The goat of Superman
Thank you for that Tribute to Christopher Reeve. A true Superman On and Off the Screen. RIP Man Of Steel.
sin duda alguna el mejor superman ke la historia pueda haber conocido por siempre inmortalzado para siempre como el homre de acero exelente tributo a christopher reeves en todo sentido viviras por siempre
Christopher reeves is last son of krypton for ever❤🙏
Christopher Reeve is the true Superman of all time.
After all this time, I am very fortunate to still feel the chills with that Superman tune. Even if others, like Nolan’s Batman tunes have been great, and even the Avengers tune is fantastic, nothing will ever come close to this and the sensation that this was TRULY special.
Se puede volar con esa musica
Best SUPERMAN movie spirit adventure ever made!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With all due respect to all the actors who played Superman, Christopher Reeve is undoubtedly the most charismatic, he knew how to represent the hero and characterize Clark Kent, a simple, clumsy man with a huge heart.
Well, one of the most? Yes. The most? No. George Reeves, Gerard Christopher, Dean Cain and Tyler Hoechlin were all as charismatic as Reeve. When it comes in playing Clark Kent, George Reeves portrayed Clark as great and kind guy who would get tough with his enemies if the situation required, and that was very influential to the mythology of Superman. John Byrne used Reeves' Clark to make his Clark Kent, even though during the Bronze Age comics Clark was already being written as more serious than clumsy. Reeves portrayal of Clark would also be used by Gerard Christopher as he told a lot of times how he was a fanboy of Reeves' Superman. While Dean Cain's Clark was based in Byrne's Clark which in turn was also bases on Reeves' Clark, Cain played Clark as a very likable and relatable dude, as someone you could meet in the street that just happens to be a super powered alien. With Hoechlin, he maintains that clumsy aspect of the character and his Clark is a natural dork, but he also acts more serious when the situation calls for it, like when he faced the father of Jon's girlfriend who had threatened both him and Lois.
My dad was my true Superman 🦸♂️ thanks dad for saving my life being a true Superman 💪🦸♂️💪
That’s love
@@MrShottadon yes sir! 💪👍💪
I am since 1976 a great fan from Superman! ❤
This was the first Superman I saw and Reeves is the reason why Superman is my favorite hero and always will be. No one has been a better Superman. Cavil is very close but Christopher Reeves will always be the best.
Christopher Reeve is the best and the only Superman for me forever ❤️
Remembering first time watching Superman as a kid, it blew my mind when he took first flight in the Fortress of Solitude. I read this was also the reason why Superman was so successful because Richard Donner was able to present to the audience that a man, a Superman, could fly.
Gracias Cristofer por habernos hecho recordar de qué lado estamos y qué es lo que representantes para muchas generaciones con aquel personaje.
I love this version of Superman. I had the biggest crush on Christopher Reeve as a teen. This was a nice tribute. Makes we want to spend the weekend binge watching all the movies again.
The only film that's a few hrs and i dont mind sitting through the whole story again.
I remember when this movie was released it changed America and made us believe in his motto: Truth, Justice and the American way!!!
All our greatest heroes are from an era that can't be replicated....best there ever will be and I'm glad to be a part of it.. . .
Reeve is the only actor to make you actually believe that it’s impossible to think of Clark Kent as Superman.
Gran Actor Christopher Revee
I remember seeing this film when I was 10 in 1978. Absolutely in awe of it!! Christopher reeve will always be the man of Steel. He jade us believe a man could fly, lift cars and bounce bullets off him. Keep flying wherever you are!!
The better superman!
There ARE a few good moments in Superman III and IV after all!😂
Hahahahah. 3 is the worst of the four movies, but there are some cool stuff. 4 had a good idea but bad execution
Great human being & The Greatest Clark Kent/ Superman ever! You have no idea how the world misses you & needs you to rescue us more than ever.
RIP
Thank you for putting together this great video. In the beginning i found myself smilling because I've been meaning to rewatch these films and haven't in so long. Then I found myself tearing up, It doesn't matter how many people are trying to make a new Superman movie. They just can't capture the magic in the ones that Christopher Reeve did. I mean, the entire cast of each film worked so hard to make these the best superman movies ever. 2-4 flopped but to us kids who didnt care about the box office, Christopher was the personification of superman. He did the job with a smile and charm.
The Greatest ever. Thank you, Christopher Reeve, for all you gave us!
MY SENTIMENTS EXACTLY, BRIAN SCOTT, A TRUE HERO ON AND OFF SCREEN, GOD WE MISS YA!!!GARY BAILEY
Christopher Reeve
Born September 25, 1952 - Died October 10, 2004

The best superhero movie with the best movie soundtrack...ever.
The one and only. If you’re smart, you’ll immediately know this in your heart. Also, you’ll know they can’t make a charming and magical movie like this anymore.
Well, 10 actors have played Superman in live action and the number is about to become 11. Christopher Reeve was certainly one of the best actors to have played Superman, but not the greatest, especially when others played the role as well as he did.
Christopher Reeves, Richard Donna and John Williams. Pure magic!
Goodbye,, Christophe reeVe,, our real life,, SuperMaN,, we Gonna miss you,,, may Him R,I,P,,, 💐🎁💕
I remember watching this at home when I was 2 I loved it so much my mom got me a Superman suit for Halloween. I looked nothing like Superman, extreme long curly blonde hair, but I didn’t care I curled my fists through up my arms like Christopher Reeves in the movie then my parents took a picture. I have no idea where that photo went.
It was magic when you first witnessed this decades ago...yet can still bring that very same magic which captivated you in his performant even 40 years later.
Oh, Superman where are you now when we need you the most ?
Christopher Reeve Forever !! ❤
Superman Forever !! ❤
I still remember, so distinctly, watching the movie at the Loew's East 86th Street theater in Manhattan, and the audience bursting into cheers when Chris flies out of the Fortress. THAT was the moment we were all waiting for -- and it still gives me chills 45-plus years later.
RIP, Mr. Reeve, you are dearly missed!
He was born for the role. No one could match, his immense talent in the role
Christopher Reeve will forever be Superman to a whole generation of fans. That's why artist Gary Frank used his likeness for the Secret Origin comic in 2010
I love that theme song, and when I read the Superman comic during dc comics reign of the supermen, and he came back and fought the imposter cyborg version of himself I heard this theme song in my head🙂, RIP Christopher Reeve too🙍🏻♂️😞🪦⚰️.
I just watched this movie on the big screen for the first with FULL ORCHESTRA playing the score LIVE ♥️♥️. If you get a chance to see Superman In Concert, don’t miss it!! And bring the kids! It was awesooooooome
Many actors wore the cape but Christopher Reeve was the One.
One of the best, but not the best. I mean, of course he was great in the role, but so were others
He made me believe that a man could fly! R. I. P. Mr. Reeve, You are missed!
El mejor homenaje para el mejor, único e irrepetible Superman, Cristopher Reeve !!
Loved all the Superman movies
Beautiful tribute ❤️ fly high Christopher Reeve ❤️ 💪🙏
Christopher reeve le meilleur interprète de superman et Clark kent pour toujours
Nice tribute!
Sadly, the baby who played infant Kal-El would passed away in his teens...
Brings back so many good memories.
May Christopher Reeve rest in peace. 🙂
He IS Superman. 🦸♂️
The gold standard.
"NO ONE" has ever surpasses this guy, thank you for making us believe a man could fly.
I would like to say Cavill, but he was screwed by Snyder. But Tyler Hoechlin ever since he got to play the role in Superman and Lois he has been the best live action Superman so far
I really loved and enjoyed ready Superman Secret Origins cause the artwork payed a lot Homage to the late Christopher Reeves.
When I was a Child, Christopher Reeve was one of my Role Model & Actor. Until now, he's still is. Christopher will always be my favorite "Superman." I remember my Mom, bringing me at the Movie Theater. It was my first time, watching Superman: the Movie (1978) Film. I always wanted and Dreamed of being "Superman" back in those days. Until now, as a Grown Man, I still do sometimes. It brought out my inner Child, wishing I could be Flying through the Skies. 🤩🤩🤩👍👍
Same here. My first exposure to Superman was in the late 1990's when I was very small kid, probably 3 or 4 years old. I remember watching on TV some of Christopher Reeve movies, mainly the first and fourth movie, watching Lois and Clark and the animated TV show. And ever since I've enjoyed the character. At first it was because of the powers and the costume and later it was because of identifying myself with the character.
@@GiovanniAlckmimRusso Totally and Truly Superb!!! 🤜💥🤛
Other actors have and will play the role but NO ONE will ever BE Superman again. RIP Christopher Reeve
Awesome, awesome tribute.... really loved this. Well done.
That theme music.... goddamn, hits you like a freight train.... the music score is to die for. :)
Thanks ☺️. And yes, the theme will forever be astounding 🥳
Very nice and sweet!
still have chills after all these years...I was a child....and He was the one and only Superman for me....and OMG the music...perfection!
Great forever
He was/IS THE MAN. SUPERMAN!!!!
This character invokes the best in us, that's why Superman endures. Thank you Christopher Reeves for caring enough to bring him to life and helping us believe that.
I love it! ❤
An unforgettable movie will always be remembered 😢
You Are The Best Thaks This Vidieo CHRISTOPHER REEVE FOREVER The One And Only SUPERMAN He Can Makes Me Believe A Man Can Fly! Thanks!
Our number 1 Superman, my number 2 is Routh who's got the same level of respect for Reeve as you and we all do watching this splendid video and who's the only worthy successor of Reeve on the big screen.
Glad you enjoyed the video. In my personal rank, Reeve would be my fourth favorite, with Tyler Hoechlin, Henry Cavill and George Reeves coming higher. And come on, let's not forget about the other guys. Cavill was a worthy successor, just had the bad luck of being in the hands of Snyder and the mismanagement of Warner regarding the DCEU. And there is David Corenswet, even though yeah we still have to see how he'll do, but considering how he views Superman he is worthy as well.
Christopher Reeve was a game changer for future Superman movies you will be missed😢❤
Christopher Reeve will always be my Superman. ❤ Rest in Peace
El Único y Verdadero Superman, Christopher Reeve
