I'm watching from a VERY small town in Mississippi (U.S.A.) not far at all from Memphis, TN. I play at least 3-4 nights a week. Money games..local tournaments and even just for the hell of it with friends bc I enjoy playing that much. I would play more regularly than I do but I have no room at my house to have a table of my own. With that being said..even though I'm an American, Efren Reyes will ALWAYS be my favorite pro player, even if he is technically retired now. Just watching him play over the years has improved my game SO much.

Hi from Ontario Canada. Efron kicks butt of young and old players. Hes my favorite 9 ball player. Pool is a game for young and old. I seen a kid in Tilsonburge Ont Canada. I think he was only 12 years old. That kid was really good. Once I seen an old guy in Napanee Ontario Canada. If you left him a shot he never missed. It was game over. I find Pool relaxing weather it is Snooker 8 ball or 9 ball. Efron for sure for Nine Ball. But I like Steven Handry for Snooker. Not sure if I spelled Steven last name Wright. 🤔 But they are my favorite 2 pool players.
U.S. here. Ur vids on Bata are some of the absolute best. I watch others on Bata, but most don't get close to yours. I really enjoy u both: u for the type of commentary/presentation, and Bata...what can anyone say...mind numbing FANTASTIC. Even without it being "a lesson" I have learned more than many of the videos I watch that are suppose to be "lessons."

Is Bata the goat? Oh man, he is so much more than that. His humbleness, his modesty and graciousness +++ the fact that he actually lives ( for all the money he has ) so simple. No flashy anything. His money is for his children and grandchildren, etc. I believe he is "The Goat" because he IS what I mentioned above. Most others that are even a fraction as great as he is are so arrogant it's hard to ever watch them again. And they turn to children demanding respect. REALLY. Take a lesson all of u that think u are soooo great. Take a little Bata home with u, and here's a side dish of some humble pie.

No one even comes close to even be considered in the GOAT conversation. Reyes is hands down, the best to ever play. And I've watched all the best.
Mike Sigel won over 100 professional pool tournaments before turning 35, and by accounts I have seen has won the majority of matches over about forty years when he has played Efren. I'd say he's in the conversation.

Efron plays so many different types of games that gets every part of his game tight. Bank, 9, 8 ball, balkline, one cushion, three cushion etc etc. He has many weapons and when he is really on and the other fella makes four or five mistakes, game over. Ive watched many of his matches in different types of billiards and this is the tightest, smoothest Ive seen him in awhile. He really looked sharp in this match. Thanks for providing the footage!
Efren is also the real money game king since he's won some of the biggest prizes in pool and took them from Earl Strickland
Every once in awhile somebody will eek out a win against him, but he has easily been the best in the world for the last 3 generations and the greatest player who ever lived without question

Hi pool fans. I'm an old goat from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada where there are lots of young Philippinos' who work in the health-care industry looking out for old gizzers' like me. I first came across Mr Reyes by accident about 5-6 years ago and have been following him and other Philippine players with great interest. Its great to see so many really young boys and girls taking up the game and I expect many of them will be able to make a good living at the game, once some of them shake-off some of their REALLY BAD habits, heads popping up BEFORE the shot is made and not composing ones self before and during the shot are two of the things I notice that drive me koo koo when I see shots missed. If some of your promising players had some coaching before some bad habits become permanant, like my poor spelling. I'm going to go down to Peacock Billards next weekend and see if I can find someone I can beat in a game or two of snooker. Toodles. Frankie D. Victoria BC.

I am an American watching while living in the Philippines
wish i was a little older so i could meet and play efren. i’m 21 and can break and run any open board easily, i win every bar tournament i go to and shock high rated apa and bca players often, but my safeties need work big time. As of now i don’t stand a chance against the goat, but if i was like 5 years older maybe i could make him try. his control over the cue ball is what i aspire to achieve, see you one day efren!
Efren is still playing in the Philippines, with locals and even to the amateurs. I watched yt videos featuring him with local opponents.

I've been playing for about 44 years and I'm not saying I could beat Efren, but I have always had a flare for those kick shots, just like he does .. And I never learned to jump. There's just so much more one can control with spin and speed than the dune buggy baja 500 steez of jumping ~either your one way or the other though, and I do fear dudes who can jump well: Gorst, SVB, Strickland, etc... I've kicked out of tougher stuff than I could have jumped. Kicked to many makes, cut-to-bank kicks cross-side even, and decades ago, before I knew of anybody but Mosconi, Fatty, The Miz, and Pucket. Cheers! And all the ribbing you give CJ, all hilarious.
