From the same creator as Killer Bean Forever, this is a first person/third person, open-world, roguelike shooter.
Every time you start a new single player campaign, everything changes. The locations change, the missions change, the characters change, the bosses change, and most of all, the story changes. Characters who you trusted before, may turn against you. Enemies who tried to kill you, may end up helping you. Simple missions can turn into deadly traps. No two campaigns are the same.
I think it's perfect to make the game difficult, because it's accurate to the movie where killer bean sometimes struggles to fight off some enemies.

@@Bruh_really_dontknow There’s also the Mafia Enforcer (The Buff bean) from the first Killer Bean and the DJ Bean from KB 2: The Party. He had difficulties with those two as well.

Minor suggestion: restore Killer Bean's health for each kill. It rewards the player for fighting constantly and punishes them for trying to sit in cover. You should be out killing every enemy you see instead of digging in and letting them pile up on you.

Agreed. The best video games make you FEEL like the character like how "Hulk Ultimate Destruction" let you run around smashing a whole city or the "Arkham" series had you stalk, investigate, and take down groups of bad guys. Having Killer Bean be able to regain health by killing enemies would encourage a more aggressive playstyle that fits K.B.'s aggressive nature.

Maybe instead of a reward for moving and killing there could be a penalty for not moving around
i think you should make a 2 player campaign, and add a bonus mission where killer bean attacks a warehouse and after be kills all the enemy beans a lot of beans show up (20-35) and then killer bean (the player) runs to the back and finds a really op weapon ( a fire breath shot gun, a laser gun, or a min gun) if you do use this idea make it so the min gun slows down the player.
oh and make it so it is at the end of the game as award.

I think that an upgrade on the character models would help visually as they would match more with the environment, the clothes in particular could do with a little refresh;
especially on Killer Bean himself considering he hasn't changed since Killer Bean Forever in 2008.
That's 15 years we have had the same model used in things like the Killer Bean series on CZcams which I do say,
the model is iconic but it's started feeling outdated.
And now with higher-quality environments the characters seem out of place too, so redoing the clothes to fix things like characters having their crotch exposed and clothing materials being strangely reflective, (look at Killer bean's body armor) could modernize Killer Bean and keep him looking fresh for his video game appearance.
Honestly i think the environment should be less detailed and more stylized. Having a realistic high detail map in a game like this always just looks weird.

I kinda wish Killer Bean’s iconic twin handguns had infinite reserve ammo, so they can be used as multipurpose weapons or as tools to get better gear; And the fact that he never seems to run out of bullets in the movie/show lol…
he does reload his magazines though.
@@ElectriKMadnezz It always felt like the reloading was just a little "touch" to give some extra movements and interactions with the guns, kinda like in Metal Slug, where your pistol never reloads, but the animations they do after firing shows them reloading anyway

Suggestions
1. Add skills or special weapons like stealth that makes you invisible for a while?
2. Add armor. It's clear that the beans wear armor you can add armor to the game to reduce damage but maybe it decreases speed
3. Some House interactions?
The game itself right now is great!!! I would love to play this your Doing an amazing job. I'm more hyped for this than I am or a lot of other triple a game. Just 1 thing Its great I just feel like it lacking a little. Killer bean itself is simple but I feel like adding a little more, like the things I mentioned would make it great

In the style of the killer bean, and to help game flow as "intended" as possible and to make it easier, make it so stylish gameplay restores health. Dodging bullets using a special move, slowmo multi-kills, shooting someone's bullets out of the air, stuff like that. It's what he thrives on, so make him literally thrive off of it too. That also makes the ideal gameplay try to do that as much as possible

This game reminds me of Total Overdose :) Always wanted to play a sequel but they discontinued it. Excited for killer bean!
• Make health drops more common.
• The guns have a lot of spread, could narrow it a bit.
• If possible, Total Overdose had some funny powerups like rewind, golden gun, tornado, bull mode. You can add suitable ones for this game too. some savage tricks when going goes tough and adds comedic factor.

It's fascinating how one man can animate this movement so fluidly. This game will surely be one of the most smashing titles in the indie genre!
I still do have minor suggestions, here is a small list that will help players immerse more:
Use less plastic-looking and shiny textures for the guns. Looking up real shotguns will give you an idea.
Punish players who try to hide by giving enemy AI flanking techniques (essentially a group surrounding you)
Use less dated stock sounds for the sound effects.
Make a more modern and minimalistic HUD. There is no need for the grey area and color gradients around the HUD.
Add proper explosion effects on the tank once defeated.
Hope this list helps! I'm a huge fan of the work you've done so far, I know you can do even better!

Well personally i like a good challenge but it seems you take a little too much damage than I'd like, but at the same time it makes these fights super tense, i was on the edge just by watching someone else play lol, there is one thing I'm sure about tho: this looks absolutely amazing and a total blast! :D
Some suggestions
1. You could add police offices as enemies.
2. Maybe add stats like gun damage, more health, melee damage, and more energy
3. When your about to kill someone, maybe you should make the last shot slow motion to make it more cinematic like in sniper 3D.

I think this looks great, it has nice gameplay, a simple but favorable UI, great graphics, it's all in one package!
While I do think all is great on it's own, I do think the difficulty could be very slightly toned down a bit, but just slightly, obviosly you don't want to make it too hard but you want to it too easy either, you have to put the player on a challenge after all.
Overall, great work Jeff! I look foward to this game!

Killer Bean is a great movie and I can't wait to play the game. A suggestion, you should make Killer Bean recover better life, because enemies' shots take a lot of life, and Killer Bean is constantly attacking them without taking cover. Thank you for all your work.
Inspired by the guy who suggested killing as a way of healing:
Every time you kill a bean, you gain a small bit of adrenaline. There will be an adrenaline bar above your health bar.
Over time, your adrenaline gets converted into health one by one (maybe every 0.5s?). You can have a max of 100 adrenaline stored, and when your health hits 100, your adrenaline stops being used up and you can save it for when you are below 100 health.
I think it would be a cool idea as opposed to just healing you instantly when killing someone.

I like that's it's actually a bit of a challenge! But I totally agree with another commenter's suggestion of restoring, say, 5 HP every kill? Sitting in cover waiting for a health regen isn't very Killer Bean lol.

Some suggestions!
- Add more realistic/more death screams
- Add more voice actors and more lines/better voice acting
- The bean at the top should only be there when he has something to say
- Add Siphon
- Make the camera so Jack isn't in the crosshair (I understand that you're going for a Max Payne camera, but the first two games didn't have a dynamic crosshair.)
- Make the UI more simplified and tactical
- Smoothen some animation transitions
- Everyone loves goofy ragdolls, but don't make them *too* glitchy!
- Add icons of the two guns you are holding

You could always do a heal move that Killer Bean could do; could be a taking a breath or a button mapped specifically to a healing item like hollow knight. Things can remain difficult but still have actions that actively force you back into defense, like ruining a combo for healing or using too many healing items costs too much money to do too often. PS; the gameplay looks so solid all over Mr. Lew.
I saw some people saying healing by moving fast or kills. I agree with those suggestions so you get something fast and crazy like ultrakill or doom
Yeah but those seem a bit disingenuous, Killer Bean still takes cover alot in his movies and that short youtube show; breaking a combo to take a moment to recover should be a normal action that you use more if you're less confident and/or skilled.
I really hope this game will be multiplayer. My friends and I are really big fans of your ideas and a multiplayer experience would be the sickest thing ever
