- Today I'm going to show you how to setup the youtube discord bot which allows you to setup a discord bot on your discord server to give notifications to members when a youtube channel uploads. This means that with this discord bot on your discord server, you can have people be automatically notified and pinged when any channel you want uploads a video whether it's your channel or not, and it also works with youtube lives!

Thank you it works. For anyone who is confused cuz of the different command. You need to type /notify add. Then choose the channel you want to notify. After that, input your desired CZcams channel name. And done
This worked for me but is there a way where I can get uploads in one channel and lives in another so there separated? 👍🏻

bro I tried it, and it only notified the whole server with only ONE video
I added it on mobile and I didn’t even need the tutorial, all I needed to know was how to get to the website and that’s what you told me. All I did was type in “/yt” and a bunch of things popped up, I selected yt notifier and it show me the steps on how to get the bot to notify the discord channel when I post a new video, not complicated at all! the bot doesn't work. I set it up in my server, added my channel to the notify list, but once I posted a video it doesn't show up in the server. after I posted the video, i checked the notify list again but my channel wasnt on there anymore. I tried adding my channel again, but after posting again the same thing happened.

The bot says it doesn't have permissions to send stuff in the channel, but it does. It's literally sending the error message in the channel.

Not sure if you mentioned it but is there a way to set it so the bot will only notify a specific person about a video? For example, if I'm in a server with four people and im the only one who watches dashiexp. Can I make it so the bot will only ping me for dashie videos and not everyone else?

now you use /notify add (name of server) then u get a popup asking ur channel name and you select it then in a message you select it again then boom! also my test of my bot gave me a vid from "duran" and it was a rickroll is that normal

Just know that use a link for the command to register it to your specific channel.
Also, it has a 10 minute delay on notifications at least for me. I used it today for the first time and that happened.
I'll let you know if that's just the first time getting notifications.
