Love your blunt honesty ❤❤❤ can we say that vanilla sugared patchouli is a profile that has been overdone since 70s probably?? I’ve smelt that in the 90s as a kid 😮
I like your honest reviews! Just bought my first Kayali fragrance a few days ago - 10 ml Yum Pistachio Gelato. Since then I have been testing it, but it confuses me - the first times I could not tell what I was smelling but definitely no nuts and no pistachio and I found it not very interesting (5/10/). This morning at 3 am in bed and in the dark (!!!) for better focus I gave it another shot. This time I smelled nice fresh citric notes in the opening, followed by fruits and flowers whipped in cream. Though I still could not detect any nuts or pistachio or most of the thousand notes mentioned in the fragrantica profile I liked it more this time (6.5/10) though I wished there was a tiny bit of dark woodyness at a recognizable level in it just for a little depth. I will probably try and wear it in summer since it is the opposite of a beast and I prefer it subtle in warm weather and in everyday daytime. At this point I do not think I will repurchase it but who knows: sometimes it takes me a while to fall in love with a fragrance especially when they do not meet my expectations created by the PR efforts. spitting the truth out there! Kayali fragrance seriously are 95% marketing efforts. I cannot say how often I was tempted to get a big bottle of one of their fragrances cause they do such a great job creating hype and making sure you see the bottles frequently while online. but every time i got a tester or a small travel bottle as free with another purchase it was always just... meh... okay... absolutely not worth the price, not even the nicer releases. each and every of their fragrances has a better performing, more complex, more enchanting and often even more affordable equivalent on the market by another brand.
tbh i don't even buy their whole numbering due to the iteration stick that they're peddling. I think she heard that concept when someone first sold her a Chanel fragrance and was like 'yes, that sounds fancy. i'll number my fragrances too.' no way you do several iterations of a concept and every single time come out with such unidimensional underperforming blah kind of nonsense.
You have waited your whole life to release your hate towards this brand and this video presented you with the opportunity.

Respectfully, this was bias and emotional but it’s okay, you can’t be expected to like everyone.
To be fair, you don’t like many of the releases, from brands but you always keep it about the fragrance, exhibit A- the review of Guerlain after this.
You are expressing your disappointment with the range.
In the amouage video a couple of months ago, you didn’t give the range a raving review either, but you kept it about the fragrances.
Never seen you attack individuals the way you did here. I am questioning if you should have done this in the first place.
