- In an automobile, an engine oil is used to reduce the friction and ensure smooth functioning of the various parts in an engine. An internal combustion engine plays a pivotal role in the functioning of the car. It works because of the reaction between fuel and air, that is the oxidation of the fuel. An engine is made up of many parts that work in tandem to make sure that the vehicle keeps running.
An engine oil comes into play to maintain the smooth functioning of the various parts of an engine and to avoid friction between them. This is largely dependent on the thickness or, technically speaking, the viscosity of the motor oil. Different oils have been given gradation according to their viscosity and these gradations have been provided by the ‘Society of Automotive Engineers’ (SAE) who take into consideration various viscosity characteristics.
Over time, the quality, consistency, and color tend to change on your oil-based lubricants this is because of many factors that directly “age” your oil.

सिर्फ 1500 km मे आयल 50% हो जाता है. स्कूटर धुंआ नहीं निकालता, प्लग लाइट ब्राउन होता है फिर भी 1000या 1500 km मे आयल 50% से 60% निकलता है, क्युं? स्कूटर एवरेज भी अच्छा देता है।
The same condition with me. After 1500 km oil reduces to almost half. 150 cc Honda. But no smoke averege is also good.

After filing petrol tank full some fluid come out from outlet pipe of my Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise bike twice. After enquiry from mechanic he told me that it happens when there is any waste or other liquid in the petrol. Is this correct?. What we can do to prevent this.
No... that is may be due to the over flow from your tank... there would be a over flow out let pipe.. you can find small hole when u open your tank
.that is the Darin pipe...where extra fuel exits..

I have purchased KTM 390 adventure X (Nov 2023) ... After driving for first 1000 kms first service was done and it was topped up for 1.7 ltr Motul engine oil ... After driving for 800 kms on a trip to mountains low pressure warning signal started to show up and also the oil pressure warning ⚠️... After taking the motorcycle to agency ,the mechanic drain the engine oil and to my surprise and shock only 300 ml of oil is drained out.... Meaning 1700 ml(1.7 ltrs) is consumed in just one ride to Manali 800 km... Is it something serious... Kindly if anyone has this issue please suggest something... Ktm Engineer is giving idiotic excuses like the adventure bikes consume more engine oil than other bikes.. If the issue is related to piston rings or damaged head or any broken seal inside the engine.. Should I allow the agency mechanic to open the engine or go for replacement as the bike is new( only 1800 km) and within warranty ... Kindly suggest

Sir ye bhi btado ki agar bike ko 300-400km jada oil fill krke chale dene se koi dikat hogi ya nhi.

I have splendor 2016 model and i have used hero genuine engine oil, now i am using gulf pride engine oil.
About performance is not good. Starting 200-400km is good smoothness after 500km smoothness goes away and hard gear sift. And all thing is ok like chian lube, air pressure etc.
Plzzz suggest me a good engine oil along with engine oil gradee plzzz
