Cargo Ship That Crashed Into Baltimore Bridge Freed, Pulled to Port

- Eight weeks after the collapse of the Francis Scott Key bridge, the Dali cargo ship was moving again. Monday
Several tug boats pulled the ship away from the bridge, back into the shipping channel and to a local port. The Dali lost power and steering control before slamming into a bridge support causing it to collapse.
The ship had been stuck under tons of wreckage. Salvage efforts including the use of explosives and giant floating cranes have now freed the ship.
The Dali's 22 crew members weren't hurt and have been on the ship since the crash including during those controlled explosions. They had to stay on board because of US regulations that any ship must have a minimum staff at all times.

I am a metal fabricator in Baltimore, and have done some work on these ships. They are f***ing huge! You have no idea how big they actually are until you are on one.
Yes, and their momentum is a lot of energy to dissipate.
Neopanamax. 39 stories tall, 3 football fields long, and width of a football field wide.
Do they have any
navigation equipment ?
@@mopthermopther Yes, but most of it was not functional when the electricity blacked out.
Thank God! Maybe I'll get my Temu package now.
Wait they're just now pulling it out
The entire crew was taken to the ophthalmologist for eye checkups...
Jeez that thing is huge
That's what she said...
@@TruthBeTold121212😂😂😂😂
She lie
China would have a new bridge built by now!!
I can finally get my packages delivered. Lol
Why does it have power and can move? Why couldn't it correct the turn before hitting the bridge?
The rudder wasn't made to turn the ship quickly; the manufagturers should have equipped it with a bigger and stronger rudder, and when the electricity on the ship went out like a blackout, the motor which turns the rudder was powerless, and so was more or less everything else on the ship. Whenever things like this happen, my uncle (1926-2020) said, "Well, it was a dumb boy who built that ship."
Asking tax payers for the $ who crashed that big fucking thing when power didnt work earlier
they must have been getting paid by the hour. 8 weeks. ridiculous.
Whereas you, not understanding the magnitude of the problem, would have swooped in with your magic wand to make it all go away before the first weekend.
. China would have rebuilt the whole damn thing by now!
@@MyFiddlePlayer If a magic wand would fix that ship, it would save the owner a fortune on repairs.
Eventually they will find the electrical problem. Pretty sure I remember the company that operates this vessel making a public statement that while in port they had multiple power failures and were working on the problem. There must have been a massive short circuit that tripped the breakers killing all power on the ship. The vessels departure was delayed as a result. Whoever made the decision to disembark without having resolved the electrical problem will be in deep do-doo. Surely, the captain and the chief engineer but also those whom the captain reports to. However, the buck always stops with the captain.
The Coast Guard allowed them to leave. It's funny how no one is talking about this Coast Guard. There you go. There is your answer. LIke everything else, there is a cover-up.
They should be in jail
Why?
So many bridges collapsing under odd circumstances......
Nothing to be concerned about. Joey says everything is FANTASTIC
Actually, they stayed on board because they were are investigated by the FBI
Yeah , only 3 weeks past normal demolition, everyone had to get there grift -- sickening
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
It’s all one big lie after another.
The curry smell onboard must be overwhelming after all these weeks...

So in your mind, after years and years it's been on operation, they suddenly start eating curry after being stuck in American water?

How much you think Wes is going to charge the American tax payer to repair the Dali. I mean it was our bridge that broke it right? It's going to make Wes rich. He doesn't want the cost coming from his pocket, and it has to be fixed.Hmmm.
