This is an actual popular test route given by the the Riverside DMV driver's test employees like to take candidates during the Riverside DMV behind the wheel driver's test. Let us know if you caught any of the mistakes we made.
i took my test about 3 hours ago at this location. didn’t have the same route, but i passed on my first try (and with only 6 mistakes - 😃)! it was definitely not as scary as i thought it would be. it was actually pretty calming and fun and felt like i was driving with a family member like any other time.
some tips i’ll give:
1)get enough sleep - i took 2 sleeping pills the night before and knocked out early just so i could sleep enough, it helps with your focus TREMENDOUSLY
2)ALWAYS remember looking over your shoulder/checking mirrors when lane changing
3) check yourself in your own lane to make sure you’re steady and not passing over any lines
4)always stay alert. if you find yourself daydreaming at a red light snap yourself out of it quickly and focus on the road
5) scan intersections WHILE crossing them. be defensive always.
6) make complete stops and scan, turn into the first lane like you’re supposed to, always remember who has right of way and give it to them
7) while backing up, stay a GOOD distance away from the curb. when pulling up, make sure your steering wheel is completely straight so you dont have to turn it to fix yourself while backing and risk hitting the curb. stay calm i was most scared about this but be confident in yourself and your skills. you got this.

forgot to add - CHECK YOUR SPEED ALWAYS. if it says speed limit 40, do NOT go over 40 just to accommodate to people on the road with you. they can wait, this is your one chance and you don’t want to mess it up. don’t worry about other people.

took my test today 4/24/2023 and it was sooo easy and calm ! Victor was the sweetest guy. it was a different route from the video, but I highly recommend driving to the dmv before your test just to get a feel of the streets if you’re not from the area

I definitely recommend going to riverside dmv I took my test today and passed the first try !! I had a different route compared to the video but still a little similar
I watched this video and obsessively traced the route on the map and even went to the location days before to practice. But i took my test today and it was a lot shorter. We drove into the residential area and exited quickly and drove back to the dmv immediately. It was a much shorter test, almost half the time. So i thought i failed but the examiner said they shorten it due to covid and it is now one of the locations with shortest testing time. I passed with 3 minors after failing 3 times (had to retake my permit even.) i was extremely anxious for days before the test but i chewed gums and it helped a lot!!! Remember to check blind spots at bike lanes as well!! Good luck to everyone!!

I passed today. This video was a great help. Most of the route was the same, but slightly different. I would recommend driving this route the day before your test, or just prior to going to the DMV the day of your test so you know what to expect. I was ready. Thank you.

I took my test here today and PASSED with this almost exact route !!
Instead of going straight to Riverside Ave, we made a right on Jurupa. There are some areas
that were under construction but did not affect the overall trip and seriously if you take your test here... YOU ARE IN GREAT HANDS !!! The people who work there are very nice and supportive to those test takers

Took my test today 12/8/22 passed my first try!! Route was the same but shorter. Instead of going straight by the riverside plaza. We turned right and went straight back to the DMV!

I have my test here on tuesday but I have one question for this route. At the end of the test when they turn into the DMV they just turn into the DMV without being in the bike lane, so is that what your suppose to do or are you suppose to turn into the lane after the bike lane before turning into the DMV or did this guy do it right.
You have to be able to see the line in front on you at a stop, and you stopped at a green

I got a little different route than this; instead of making a left on Magnolia Ave. from Jurupa, I had to make a left onto Riverside Ave. and I got a critical error. There's a sign that says "left turn yield on green" that's positioned so I could see it (but it's for the street going perpendicular), and I went even though I had a red arrow. My instructor was really nice and said I did everything perfect except for my critical error. Beware and be careful of my mistake... it was really my fault, I was a bit nervous but I know now! Good luck to everyone!

I cannot go behind the wheel tests in Fontana, California DMV today because of vehicle registration didn't renewal or expired, so that's why I'm taking re-schedule for behind the wheel test on October 14th, 2021 in Riverside, California DMV, and also I will take driving school again to give more extra practice on October 13th for pre-behind the wheel tests DMV before 14th. 😬

I have my test May 12th at 10:20am. Unless my driving instructor doesn't think I'm ready lol. I'm in my 30s and just learning to drive. I just need to relax I failed my mock test lol. But I have one more lesson before my test and hopefully I'll pass it first try.

I failed my test TWICE at this location with different examiners. The first one was my speed and I guess I turned too wide right turn though I remember staying in my lane. And the second one, I guess I turned too wide right into oncoming traffic but there wasn't a car there. Although, I do remember staying in my lane on my right turns...maybe I was just super nervous. Also, did it through a driving school and had 2 different types of cars I drove with. one a corolla and one a Scion...I only had an hour to get used to the Scion ....but drove the 91 with it.
Are you mostly driving in residential areas for the test? I wasn’t sure if some of those were residential sections

@@toxic20237 I don’t know the points in total, but I know that you can’t miss anymore than 15. Personally, I failed because I made critical errors. But honestly just drive normally. Don’t try and over compensate, just be relaxed you got this!!

@@SlyOpossum22 if it shows a right red arrow light then that means you stop until it becomes a right green arrow light......however if it is a solid red circle light then you can make a right...just be aware of incoming cars

@@tych1920 yes. I did pass! It was actually very easy. They first ask you where your things are around the car (Emergency lights, brake, defroster, headlights, emergency parking brake) and then when I went out, they made me reverse in a straight line while avoiding to hit the curb (this is only in California, don't know about other states). Then we went out in the streets and made me do three or four lane changes and made left and right turns. Then we went to a residential area (know your speed limit at residential areas) and then came back to the DMV. It was only 10 minutes long. No need to worry about it. You'll do great! I failed twice. Once the instructor said i rolled a bit faster then 4mph after a stop and second time i didn't use the bike lane to make a right turn
Both times i had 3 mistakes altogether

My first 2 times i had 4'5 mistakes but just stoping for 1 second on 1 stop out of 5 counted a critical mistake and the other time not using bike lane but the third was the worst idk i think they arw quite hard on a person who is attempting last try so the lady took out 25 mistakes

I think I achieved the world record of failing the test by signaling right, looking right onto the bike lane to turn right and found out it was a dangerous maneuver for trying to go right. Is there another way to turn right into the bike lane? I’ve done this too many times with the teachers and they didn’t say anything about it I’m so mad.

Same thing! So if you're taking you're test here, and you make the first right onto the road, PLEASE DONT TURN INTO THE BIKE LANE NO MATTER HOW LARGE IT IS.
I know your probaly thinking "well when making a turn turn into the closest lane to you" well thats what I thought and I failed automatically. Do not make the same mistake
You can go into a bike lane for a right turn as long as it’s within 200ft of your turn
