If you see any BS about "winning" stuff and to contact people on telegram, its a SCAM, dont fall for it, report them and ignore please. I ban them every day but more keep popping up. YT doesnt care about their comment section and does nothing to help us creators get these scams off our videos unfortunately.
Where is the mustang!!!?
B is for Bewear 😅
Chris you struck gold with having Oscar in the shop that man's welding abilities are outstanding he make stuff look easy. Oscar =gold as far as I'm concerned.
Yup and here knows it.
And car knowledge to match
Would you say he did a good job?
100
Yeah he’s good with his craft, but not even back purging? Hmmm. It’s not hard and a true professional always does it. Plus it makes it seriously improved the quality of the piping
That engine won't last without a stand alone. I know people say the stock ecu will correct itself, it will to an extent. Throwing a single on there is past that point. I own one, I've done the research. Please don't blow that engine relying on tech from 1993.
this.
Sure, a modern factory ECU is more drivable than a standalone, but one from 1993? I doubt it. I second a standalone.
I'm pretty sure Trevor from Motion Auto has had perfectly good luck running his 2JZ drift car on the stock ECU . I wouldn't know myself , the only Supra I've ever even driven was a Mark 3 with the 7M .
This. Chris, please install a standalone, a decent fuel system, and get it tuned. You can't just throw on a turbo and call it done.
In the meantime at least get a wideband so you can monitor the AFR.
Chris. You absolutely need to tune it. You can’t stuff a ton more air in an engine and expect it to run at a proper AFR without calibration. The ECU can only compensate so much.
Yeah i commented the same thing. It doesn't help there's not any more fuel either. That thing is running so lean.
When I was in high school my mom got a Red 1994 Supra Turbo as her mid-life crisis car. I only got to drive it once but it was amazing (even though it was an automatic). Sadly she traded it in 2 years later because new tires were so expensive. Every time I see them going for 6 figures I like to tease her about it.
Oscar is the man, his welding skills are phenomenal! What a great asset he is to the B is for Build shop.
I agree Todd!!! Id love to have a Oscar helping me in the shop on our 240z. Chris is blessed!!!
You're going to destroy that engine. You can't expect the stock ECU to compensate for the amount of extra flow you're getting, let alone the fact that your stock fuel system will max out way before your power targets. At the very least you need a standalone, bigger injectors and an upgraded fuel pump. $10k on a turbo kit and half-assing actually tuning the thing is madness. SMDH.
Just like how they operate 🤭
Trevor (motion auto) ran his single turbo drift car on a stock ecu for years with no issues. I think he made 500 on the dyno in one of his videos. A standalone would be better yes, but a stock ecu isn't a death sentence. If a drift car seeing tons of abuse doesn't have a single issue, a street driven supra that's probably going to get hardly any miles put on it is going to be just fine
Half assed is this whole channel
@@kshepthedrummer I don't watch his videos but I'm gonna say he at least upgraded his fuel system and has a wideband to monitor his AFR. Even ignoring the ECU, the stock injectors and fuel pump just can't flow enough fuel for 500hp. And running bigger injectors with the stock ECU and no tuning will mean it'll run like shit off boost and have terrible drivability.
I love your Supra. The diversity of your builds is what keeps me coming back for every video!
Speaking Facts!! This channel has inspired me for years Rick Cox!!
Y'alls skills are definitely improving with each build. The quality of this rebuild is great. Hope you get the dyno sorted, we want to see the actual numbers this beast is putting out.
Love watching you build your passion projects even if they aren't my taste they are always entertaining.
Very confused as to why you're not running this on a standalone, because having seen you put together some pretty awesome cars, I think you know better. My daily driven car runs on a Link G4+, pump fuel, RB26 with stock ITBs at around 500 HP, no problems with drivability. You're going to run out of injector & fuel pump before you hit 350 HP.
The issues is from many years ago when StandAlones were very finicky. So people have that idea still in their head that they’re not reliable.
No standalone sponsor yet?
Yeah seriously.... He might as well have kept the stock twins for that.
I have a haltech sitting on the table right behind me. Its not that i dont have one, i just dont want to use it on this build. You're very wrong about running out of injector and fuel btw, people hit 500WHP on stock fuel/ecu, i hit 400 on my last 2jz build. The reason im not going standalone and e85 is drivability. It takes forever to tune these to run as well as the stock ecu, and i just dont see the point because i dont want anymore power in the car.
@@BisforBuild Yes but there is a difference between JDM and USDM models. In USDM there is bigger injectors and MAF and that's why people can hit 500whp with stock fuel&ecu. It's impossible with JDM 440cc injectors.
1:11 James jumps out of nowhere "MO POWAH BABY"
You get some really great sponsors, because you deserve it. I'm just a guy that digs cars, not a tech, but you and your team are the real deal!
Yesssir Jon!!!
Every build you guys work on makes me want an import more and more 😅
Yesss!!!!
The MK IV Supra has always been my dream car. I know the titanium exhaust system would be lighter and cool to install but the stainless is just as great.
You guys are doing a great job on the MK IV.
Gorgeous dream car, already a great power on stock engine, now its beast mode on. Congrats on the channel and build
should have filmed more of the doughnut shenanigans , that thing looks like a blast to drive.
Incredible build here and DAMN!! that beast rips!! I can't wait to see you finish this one!!
Good to see ETS still doing their thing. Put one on my Eclipse GST a few years ago. Great intercooler.
I have a gst too. Looking to getting the street version ets
Been watching this guy for years love this content he puts out excellent 😊😊😊
I agree!!
Some how watching you build cars after cars after cars is still more entertainment then half these youtubers buying the next best thing and flaunting it, keeeeeep building!
I agree with ya!! Something about a build!!! Im right in the middle of a 240z build right now!!
He literally finishes nothing?
Oscar is a surgeon. That work on the downpipe was just out of hand. :)
That dyno pull made me jump! Great work, yet again. 👍
Chris ask motion auto Trevor about sanding out runs. I saw him use a cool technique where he covers the run in glazing filler and then sands it. Less likely to burn through the rest of the clear
That's a badass Supra. I've been watching this channel for a few months, but this video made me become a subscriber
You go man, best rebuild youtuber
Definitely big moves! From eBay parts in a shed to ETS sponsored parts!
As a long time MKIV Supra owner, 700-800WHP is really manageable with this chassis. After 1000whp is when you start seeing some diminishing returns for street cars, however they handle 1400-1500WHP fine if setup correctly.
Awesome - you need a Haltech Elite 2500 or similar type ECU to match the turbo kit. Car looking mean now - great work. With the Haltech there is about 25 years or more in development over the stock ECU. Install the Haltech Elite 2500 and tune it with that. You will see a massive difference....the turbo kit you put on the car need it to run correctly. I would also recommend much larger injectors with a fuel rail that has AN Fittings. As you know there is a formula for the duty cycle for the injectors, stock injectors are no where near the size that you need. To get the car to run right with the turbo kit you need large injectors and that Haltech 2500 Elite ecu.
Awesome build
LOVE THE MK4 Supra ❤
Being imported from Japan that car is tuned to their gas which has a higher octane rating than you can get at the pump here. Please get a stand alone ECU and get it tuned before you have detonation and hurt the engine. You will also have much better drive-ability and reliability if you get it tuned properly for what gas you plan on using.
Yess!! Can't wait to see the final product. This build is just as exciting as the R69 :)
Beautifully welded downpipe... Oscar: "hold my beer" . Thing of beauty
I used the Dallas metal Supermarkets a few weeks ago. I thought of them because of your videos
Watching this as my SC300 project is under the knife and realized you were right down the street from me being at ETS. Cool to see more local 2jz stuff!
As a previous Supra owner, and one that popped a couple 2J engines, stand alone is very much worth the money. It is a very expensive engine to rebuild, a tune is worth your money!
awesome glad you kept it stock body.
Getting a notification that you've uploaded a new video is always the highlight of my day
Chris you are looking really well, great to see
Can’t wait to see first test drive!!
You’re just supposed to run a hose from the idle air intake to your intake behind the filter but I get it putting a filter on that will work pretty much the same
Another awsome video, can't wait to see the car 100%
all said, the engine sounds great, turbo spools great, exhaust is excellent. and that paint really does flash nice
About the exaust, you may put a protective gas inside the tube as you are welding it outside, otherwise you get the rust from inside to the outside in the future.
Dry ice blasting that engine bay might be the most satisfying video you could ever make. Lol
Ahhhh my dream car! Love it man!!! ❤
Agreed!! Id love to own a supra one day!!!
Oscars the actual reason this CZcams channel is alive
This is one of your best builds
Right after Adam LZ posts his new Supra, I see your new vid! Year of Supra Resto’s! Throtl is also building theirs!
Moa powah babe!!!
You don't need 1000 hp to drive around! Thank you for saying that!
Best comment of the vid… “It’s a 2JZ it can handle anything!!” Truer words have never been spoken!!!😁
Sometimes you drop a "one liner" GOLD thats what, that was!!
You are the most creative channel
B is for bolt-ons! 😂 Amazing build!
Oscar is a welding champ fam🎉
i take back all my harsh words from your first video in japan, you turned the turd into a cherry. amazing job!!!
Loving this build. I should have bought one of these back in the day before they became 6 figure costs!
What’s plans for the clutch?
B is for Build. Vs Throtl Supras!!!!
Let’s make them race 💪🏼👍🏽
ETS makes it very good..
Oscar makes it better.. 😂
You da Man, Oscar!
Did Chris just said Mo powa baby!! at 1:12? hahaha
That exhaust manifold is beautiful
I definitely disagree with the stock driveability aspect of a stock ECU. At this point ECU Masters and haltech and even a.m. Infinity all make ecos that would make it run exceedingly well and still have a ton of drivability. Not to mention the ECU on that thing is 30 years old and known for taking a dump. There is no reason in 2022 to still be running a stock ECU with the piggyback. A $10,000 kit on the car and you're telling me you're not going to properly tune it? That's insane
100%. Should be on a haltech elite 2500 or something at least. Plug and play and better than stock drivability
Speaking of which, running stock coils is insane too after such a great turbo kit.
Also cams and valvetrain
Also fuel lol making 500 on the stock injectors???
@@shiftdowntv4511 even an elite 550 or 750 will do everything aside from drive by wire that a 2500 does. The 2500 just benefits from a lot more I/O, dbw and some traction control features. But the 750 alone would turn that car into a monster and still have self learning and daily driveability
I'm from Indonesia, I always support your CZcams channel..
Godddd what a beast. I love it so far
You do need to tune that for the drivability you’re craving. The factory calibration is operating under untold amounts of assumptions that are no longer valid to assume.
Motor looks so cool
Love the channel you guys should do a cadillac I would like to see what you would do with a V series.
Couldn't just be a V series for Chris...
Would undoubtedly have to be the V-1 wagon!
@@justinoliver1984 the wagon is a v2 but yea that would be sick. Or other rare options would be the xlr v or the sts v. Honestly any of them would be cool to see.
Wow that ting sounds awesome.
Thank You GARRET ♥️
I see cherry red wrap coming!!!!
I would of loved to see it in candy apple. Silver is so boring. Love the turbo kit. God bless.
It's the best products because they agreed to sponsor us.
Sponsorship equals best. Like stickers add horsepower.
Garrett turbos are about as good as you can get though - it's not that much of a lie.
@@eljaroebeukes5118 Its all the other stuff built by a shop that he is being sponsored/partnered with.
my Favorite car of all time the mighty MK4 Supra 💪🏻
Oscar got them lightening whirler skills.👍
Car is so clean now
The supra rabbit hole brings me back 😁
Your’s was sweet! Big sacrifice letting it go.
BUILT RIGHT CHRIS AND GANG GOOD JOB 👏 🎊 😊❤
Bless brother , your looking stronger and hopefully better , and man that cars sick! I didn't know you could keep a stock ecu tho? I'm building my 88 10th anniversary RX-7, and im stuck cause say a fueltech with a harness n stuffs like 3 to 5500 bucks! More than the dang engine
great stuff!..i would swap the oil feed so it doesn't go through the exhaust manifold... still rubber inside that ss sleave.
What? The Supra is almost done? Time to buy something else and shelve it for a few years. ;)
I dig the Supra not my favorite of the cars you guys got but it is a right side drive Supra so of course it's badass an when done will be great addition to your fleet
Best content hands down, happy fried-day
20psi lol loved the look u gave to camera
You need to get a Stand-alone for reliability . Syvecs or a motec - link . Plenty of decent ones .
Love Supra in Silver. Been watching a lot of videos and seems like Supras are meant for single turbo and Skylines should stay with upgraded twins
car sounds great. This makes me want to put an intake on my TT bronco so i get some turbo noises lol
‘Mo power, baby..’
Shout out to James Pumfrey @ Donut Media. 😉
Looking good bro, I sure hope you are in great health and getting better. 👍🏽
I knew it was a BIFB day :D
My 95 is tuned just over 600 whp and I agree that’s more then enough. These cars are to valuable just to make them 1000 hp just to have a 1000 hp Supra
Oscar is simply put, that guy
The car is sick.
Oscar did a Great Job!
Watch out for those speed cams in Portland! Just found that out a week later 😅
You are the man.
FYI - Schedule 40 is a pipe standard not a tube standard (as used on manifolds). Tubs just measure in actual wall thickness while pipe changes depending on diameter and schedule (so a Schedule 40 1" pipe is thinner walled than a Schedule 40 2" pipe).
Great build .. let’s clean the engine bay now lol
super dope!
Would be cool to see 4k quality on the vids. Great episode though !!
Love the silver!
Oscar u the man 👍
