This video is amazing. I just did my own racks using this method. I’ve been wanting to mount them for awhile and get into taxidermy you guys are the best.
What a shop!!! Would love to see your shop some day... unfortunately I live in S/W PA. Love your videos. Been mounting my own antlers for years. And European mounts. Started hydro dipping with spray paint. Wooden plaques hand made also. Wish I could send you a few pictures.
Hi. I`m a Hunter and taxidermist from Portugal. Love your vídeos. back here we only do wath you call european mount trophies, but i loved to see how you do your trophies. Keep up whith the good work. thanks.
very nice. Found your channel durring my 3 week hunting vacation in November. We had lots of rain so I had plenty of time to watch them all LOL. Most of my antlers are hanging on a beam in the man cave, maybe this will inspire me at least get some of them on the wall. Love your channel and the way you guys really seem to enjoy hunting and shariing your adventures.
That was a great video. I've done a few antlers in the past and have good and not so good success because of using the spray glue. but seeing how you did it with out glue I'm excited to do a few more. thanks and keep the vids coming
Well you certainly made that look easy ! I've got a real nice 7 pt. rack I've had for 40 years or so. I guess it's about time I mount it. I don't like rushing into anything. Thanks for the guidance.
I enjoyed this video. It encouraged me to mount the 9 pt I got this year. Any advice on how to clean/ preserve the skull cap? The shop also cut mine a bit close to the antler burrs but I think it will still work.
Keep the shop videos coming I really think its interesting and I do a little mounting for myself. Merry. Christmas to you all and a Happy New Year. Our season isn't over yet. We have a 3 day doe season left the last 3 days of Dec. Then we a week in Jan to muzzle load. Sidelocks - Flintlocks or recurve bows only
Thank you or the video. Made mounting my rack this year very easy. It came out really nice. Only problem is the members of my hunt club are asking me to do there's, Told them to watch your video
Thanks for the info definitely will have to adjust how I do mine with some of your techniques although I wasn't far off. One question I have if its not too much trouble what do you use to whiten euro mounts ? Thanks and Merry Christmas to you and yours!!
I have watched other videos and for my first attempt, I used a mix of plaster and concrete....mistake! It dried fast, was more difficult to work with as it was drying. It was ok, but the concrete made it more challenging to work with after it dried: more sand paper, harder to get perfect. I recommend to stay with the plaster only for your first few and watch this video over and over again.
Thanks for the helpful video...as a result I have mounted up several backlogged antlers from years past and they now hang in my studio...thanks to your informative teaching . I have an old shoulder mount that needs to be redone and access to a Cape from a deer roughly the same size. You said to just go for it so I might...any suggestions. Thinking I would use a home tanning kit to get started
Love your videos. I have been wanting to do a mount for a while now and your video help accomplish getting it done. I have buddy near Chelsea and would like to check out your shop next time I up that way, would that be ok?
paint thinner ( odorless and small amount) or windex on a paper towel wipe them down being extra quick and careful around any painting it helps cut the house hold grease and dirt. avoid the thinner on turkey heads but great for the feathers
us shipping only , moose antlers $ 14/ pound..plus shipping, small deer antlers by the rack sizes and availability, plus plaque on or off dependent and shipping. contact us through our web site in description
You should be ashamed of yourself for leaving such a ignorant comment. You don't have a clue about what you're talking about. It's people like you that are making hunting a dying heritage. You did not buy that person's hunting license, you did not buy that person's ammo, bow, hunting lease, you are not buying groceries for that person. In some states it's legal to take a spike buck. You dont know this person or there situation. Could be a kids first deer, could be a grown persons first deer. Could be a person's 25th deer. That point is. It's not your business how big it is or little it is. People like you should not be allowed to hunt. You must bea ranch hunter and only shoot trophy bucks. Anybody can go to a pumpkin patch and find a big pumpkin. This person may have only seen this deer the whole season and needed to feed his or her family. Maybe they only had a day to hunt. You don't know. And it's obviously legal or it would not be in a taxadermist shop. You may want to buy some books and read what the true meaning of hunting is. Before you show ignorance on social media.
The way he says mark sounds like he’s trying to stop a deer 😂 anyways though this is by far the best explanation for these crown mounts that I’ve seen
Was able to follow your instructions step by step and got a very good result on this year's antlers. Thank you so much for sharing your process.
Thing of beauty, memories on the wall.
I've done many of the DIY kits, but I've never seen one done this way with the plaster. Cool process, thanks for making the video.
So glad I found your video on antler mounting to a plaque. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS.
I have 25 years worth of racks that I’m just getting around to mounting. Was looking to do it myself and this video was perfect. Thanks!

Great video I have done some with plywood but never knew about the plaster as filler. And yah have cracked a couple 😂 now I know why.
Love your videos. I have been wanting to do a mount for a while now and your video help accomplish getting it done. I have buddy near Chelsea and would like to check out your shop next time I up that way, would that be ok?

What kinda felt is it rainbow felt ? And about how thick would you say it is 2mm
what do you use to re-attach skull cap to skull?? had rack set on a form but decieded to put back on skull for euro mount- thanks
Would plaster of Paris work alright or do you need the more industrial type?
little different drying rate and density just watch and work it when its just hardening right
What's the best way to clean a deer shoulder mount?
paint thinner ( odorless and small amount) or windex on a paper towel wipe them down being extra quick and careful around any painting it helps cut the house hold grease and dirt. avoid the thinner on turkey heads but great for the feathers
Do you go up and hunt in Maine much?

My dad is a taxidermist
On the Stodoys website, you buy access to thousands of projects once.
In this economy- I don't know how fellas can afford the luxury of taxadermy. Too damn expensive brother. Too expensive. Just satin
The person who shot that small buck should be ashamed. That was a very young deer.
