Will be seeing them for the first time in July; looking forward to the show.
Finally got to see them. Omaha Nebraska with the Goo Goo Dolls, Sept 27th 2023. Best 2 1/2 hour workout I ever had! LOL. You cannot be still when their music is playing. Had a moment with Fitz after their set. He was on the other side of the fence. I pionted at him and nodded. He pointed back, and I was like, "f-ya". Love Noell, she is awesome🌝🎵🎶🤘

Loved these guys since I found them on "Live From Daryl's House" where they played a KILLER set, which I think actually sounds better cuz it's recorded live in a studio setting. Also dig the fact that they bring their modern version of Stax / Motown influenced soul to younger audiences who otherwise may not be exposed to it.
Saw them 2010 was blown away, def had hall and oats vibes they sound so good live

One of the best live bands. I love them, seen them 4 times. But I would prefer this Setlist over their more recent ones
This concert footage is what turned me into fitz and the tantrums especially Noelle love her voice and energy
Wish the new album had songs as good as these.
I maintain their first album is nearly flawless. Every single track is solid gold for me. It is SUCH a fantastic mix of modern Motown and the subject matter works really well for how groovy the compositions are. Imagine how legitimately sad I was to see them go the radio-play, generic pop route. Their follow-up to Pickin' Up The Pieces is just okay for me. But, it lacks that soul I felt in every chord on their debut. That lack of soul increases with each subsequent release.
If they truly wanted to change their sound and didn't bend to corpo pressures, good for them. Bands should grow in any direction stylistically that they choose. It's when record contracts get in the way and suits want bands to change their style that gives me a raging hate-on. I am kind of leaning towards that being what happened with F&TT, but I have no clue. They had such an amazing sound and just toss a ton of it out with each new album.
