The final vibrato at the end is a single note that lasts longer than the breath meter allows you to play, so the song is actually only able to be FC'd at a higher speed

They clearly use a different recording for the timbre of each starting position, possibly based on what note you started closest to, though I'd have to run my own tests to see if it's decided by something else, or even entirely random. It might be because the note was started during what was supposed to be a slide so the pitch was less precise to make it sound worse, but I like to think that it's possible to sound good in this game.
