I'm quite satisfied with my Sage grinder. It's a significant improvement over my Timemore C3 hand grinder.

Yeah all round its a good grinder! I'll definitely upgrade my espresso machine before upgrading my grinder :)
Thanks for checking the channel out 😊

Buy the Kitchenaid espresso grinder Model KCG8433ER. It's db measures 71. One can easily talk over it while standing next to it.
This grinder is closer to 80-85 sounds like a jet taking off.
    Crazy loud.

It is incredibly loud! Could be a good opportunity to investigate a solution for the sound 🤔😂

I have one and.. I have looked for "a better on demand hopper" for home use, and im really not finding one. I have an Aliexpress bellows fitted and it blows out anything up to 1.2g of retention and clearing nearly everything out. clumping is an issue on very fine grinds but i WDT anyway so ..meh. I almost bought a couple of different single dose grinders, but im pretty sure i cant be arsed with that, and would rather drop money on a good low retention hopper machine. Cheap ex-cafe' commercials are easy to find but thats a bit overkill...Guess im keeping the smart pro for a bit...? (for anyone that cares.. mine has a couple years of use and my zero point is 4 on the burr and 3 on the dial,.. i run it usualy at 6 on the dial.)

This was our first espresso grinder! Loved it for when it worked well. However, with lighter roasts (like, medium really) it jammed on more than one occasion. And trust me this grinder is hell to clean up once it is completely locked up. Other than that, it’s unbeatable value at around 200usd in the used market here

Thanks for comment :) in recent month I have ground lighter roasts with thus grinder and haven't had any issues personally. However I prefer to use a lighter roast for filter brewing than espresso so grinding coarser may have prevented this issue for me. Medium/dark is my preferred roast, and I'll agree with you that it it's a good little grinder. :)

Very useful thanks. Honest opinion. Focus on improving your sound quality over fancy intros. Keep going.

Thank you for the vid. I'm planning to get sgp tomorrow to pair it with my bambino too! Around what numbers did you adjust your internal&external setting? I know it depends on the beans, but just want to get the rough spectrum to start my experiment in. Also heard that this machine is not the best for the light roasted beans, I'm wondering if you've tried any of the light roasts with sgp throught the years.

Thank you for your comment! 😁 Glad to hear your planning on getting one of these 😊 as far as settings go, if I'm honest I haven't had to adjust the burr setting yet, however setting the adjustment to a 7 (adjustment done on the side of the grinder) for my favourite coffee works very well😁 I haven't put any light roast coffee through mine before, if I'm honest I'm not the biggest fan of it, so I simply haven't bought it, however my preference is medium. Dark Roasts coffee can have more bitterness, especially when incorrectly extracted, so a medium roast is perfect for starting out, in my opinion. Hope this helps 😁

@@DrEspresso That's great! I also got some dark roasts for the grinder, I think there are still a wide range to taste even without the light roasts. I saw quite a lot of people who didn't really have to dial the burr with the sgp, hopefully it works easily with me as well haha.

I have an update! I have recently been using lighter roasted coffee and the grinder has handled it very well :)

Thank you for your comment :) if you manually adjusted the blades I reckon you could get close, I haven't investigated it if I'm honest with you, just be careful as it could result in the blades wearing down faster. It might be worth getting a more robust grinder if you want to grind finer :)
