- The legendary chicano artist Adan Hernandez sat down with us to film this interview in 2015. Hernandez was contracted to produce all of the art in the iconic 1993 film Blood In Blood Out, including the famous mural. He is one of the most celebrated and well-known chicano artists.

Years back I had a call at his house for his cable box not working since I was a cable guy at the time. I go into his home and his daughter said oh my dads in the studio in the back. So she walks me to the studio and it’s Adan!! He had all his paintings hanging all over from blood in blood out. He was a very down to earth person, very humble and respectful. I’ll never forget that night , forever engraved in my head. We would also run into him at Woodlawn park in San Anto . RIP

What a proud Chicano! He was an inspiration. I saw an article about him being a "profound representation of our Xicanx communities." I think if he knew there was an article about him with the word "Xicanx" in it, he'd flip his wig!!! He was very secure and proud of who and what he was. He was CHICANO. No more, no less.
