Ferri is equally wonderful in dance and acting. Juliet's reluctance, fear, and abhorrence are played out to perfection by Alessandra. She's the picture of someone cornered like a trapped animal, helpless and relentlessly pursued. Heartbreaking scene.
so beautiful. Alessandra has this whimsy about her that just draws you in every time she performs. She's my absolute favorite ballerina.
No one does this role like Ferri. Her acting is equally as stunning as her dance.
Bloody beautiful, nuanced performance.

i miss my fav bit of the whole ballet, just after the bedroom scene when she sits down on her bed and decides to go and see friar laurence. THAT music is amazing and watching alessandra ferri's journey in her face to come to the decision to see the friar...and the way she runs on stage is simply beautiful too

@nicanor79 I totally agree with you that most dancers are naturally thin because, well, they are dancers. Working out 5 plus hours a day combined with healthy eating choices will result in thinness, however what I don't agree with (and this is not directed at anyone personally) is how so many people on youtube deny the existence of eating disorders in dancers. Are most ballerinas anorexic? No. But have most ballerinas experienced some form of disordered eating? I would caution to say yes.
