    I started learning welding 30 years ago at Tech College, but after changing jobs and not having access to machines I had forgotten a lot of what I was taught. Now as a 50 year old with a bit of spare time and some disposable cash for tool toys, I've started to relearn. These videos are so helpful. Thank you so very much for the wealth of information you are sharing

    @amarissimus29 Před 3 lety +8

    Excellent, thanks for this and all the rest. This is exactly what a beginner needs. No secret settings or magical gimmick tooling. Just set up as instructed and drill, drill, drill. There's no way around it, but it can be daunting if you don't know where to start. This is the perfect starter if you've got a machine and are ready to learn.

    One of the best aluminum videos out there, thanks Justin! Recommendation for a future video topic: You're doing an aluminum weld on a project and you boff it up. It would be really good to understand which types of aluminum welding mistakes are "recoverable" (and how) vs. which type of mistakes send the part to the scrap bin. Keep up the great work!

    Thanks for the video, perfect timing for me as I received my prime weld 225 last week. Over the years I've welded almost all metals in many processes except Tig aluminum. After a few hrs I was able to achieve fair results but some of these tips will definitely help, especially the control of the edge weld. Very happy with the machine so far, ( I used your evaluation to make my decision). Looking forward to more videos.

  • @Freedom_is_better_than_safety

    I’ve watched a plethora of welding videos online to try to learn TIG properly. This is easily one of the best and easiest to understand videos out there. The torch shots, the explanations.....easy to understand. I can’t wait to put this into practice. These are the exercises I want to learn before signing up for a class, because I’m sure I’m like a lot of people, and I don’t want to come into a class without understanding even the basics. Keep these up!

    I bought that welder because you had given it a good review. Came with the improved pedal, and had a push button switch for the torch to use 4 step. The pedal is good, as good as the pedal on the Lincoln I use at work. Still haven't welded aluminum with it, gotta get 240 out to the garage ( about 120 amps, long welds trip my breaker) but I'm perfectly happy with that welder.

    I've got a project I want to do out of aluminum, and have never TIG welded aluminum before, but have welded SS, CM and Ti. I made some coupons based on the joints I specifically needed, 1-1/4" .125 wall square onto .125x2 flat. I jumped in and made a mess, very discouraged. I watched your video on the first drill, then went down into the shop and practiced it. Watched the next drill and did the same. At the end of the video, I repeated my initial test of a square tube onto the flat and nailed it. I am so happy that you share your knowledge, it inspired me this evening, thank you!!!
