I used to have those but I bought the Nike lite because those shinguards got me a really bad injury so I bought better ones and the lites come with sleves

I actually switched from mercurial lites to j guards. J guards feel like you're not even wearing shin guards. It's awesome.

I'm getting a new pair of cleats for the upcoming season and since a lot of the vapor 9s are going on sale I've been debating whether of not I should get the veloce II or the vapor 9s. I know (thanks to Josh) that nike has made some pretty impressive upgrades on the veloce take down and I was wondering how they compare, thoughts anyone?

Absolutely love these! I think they offer more protection than Josh seems to say in the video, but I'm also not used to really high-profile carbon fibre shins.

It's ultimately personal preference. Normally shin guards of this type are worn a little higher, like I show in the video.

There's no right answer, just wear them however you feel most comfortable. With small guards, I tend to wear them higher as well.

Do you notice these when you wear them? I'm currently using the mercurial lite right now. Although they are pretty light, I still notice and feel them while I'm playing.
Not really, although they also don't provide very much protection either.

I got cleated in the shin with these on and my skin got cut open haha. Not very protective at all.

I would say at least a medium, and even those will be small. You could even go with a large if you're looking for more coverage.

+freshblocks Likely, yes. It depends on how tall you are. They're very small, so you're probably good with a Large.

Just use a whole roll of electric tape at a time like I do lol. Your guards won't move a bit.

Love these bad boys. Had the same pair for about 4 years now and have never had issues with them. Also never had any shin related injuries from them. Highly recommend them :D

Not a fan of big shin guards and I have two pairs of the J-guard that are in this video review, I highly recommend them, they flex enough to fit around my big shins. Goes well inside storelli calve sleeves as well.

Been playing for 6 years now, I've worn these shin guards all these years. I can honestly say, I have no problem whatsoever! They do their job, just cause they're not fancy looking like others or have all these extra gimmicks, yre gimmicks put into them doesn't mean they're not great!

I personally wear these and after the first 2 mins the sweat from your legs will hold them in and also they're so light you forget they're on. I love them also the price is amazing

have bruises all over my shins because these dont provide much protection, but they are so light weight that they are not even noticeable so thats good
I have these and I don't have any problems but if you are having problems you should get another pair so you don't hurt your self
i only wear them when i play winger. if i play more central i wear thicker shin guards
