I found this beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. I have not found unconditional love and tenderness from earthly men. I am beginning the process of a divorce from an abusive man who poses as a devout Catholic. I never had an unrealistic expectation of perfection, but I thought I might find some semblance to what this sculpture represents by being careful to enter into marriage with someone who shared my Catholic faith. I was greatly hurt and disappointed. I'm trying not to be sunk spiritually and emotionally by this experience. I pray that St. Joseph will intercede for me as well as all husbands and fathers.
I'm sending you love sister, I too, am walking through a divorce. Take each day as they come and lean into Jesus, He has you 💛 it comes in waves but it gets easier to swim, I promise

I pray for you to stay underneath our Mother's mantle, St. Joseph's protection and most importantly I pray you into the arms of our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. I will pray for your husband. What I should have said is that both men and women, men looking to Mary, and women looking to Joseph, should look for a partner who, with unrelenting devotion and love, Will be there for you until the day you leave this earth. The idea of a soulmate or that person that completes you is an idea that has been lost on the world, which is the most unfortunate thing. I truly believe that when you are connected with the right person that God has chosen for you, it allows you to grow and walk the path that God has intended. I wish both men and women would be as virtuous as Mary and Joseph, and I pray everyday that we will begin to recognize that the demasculation of men and this supreme feminist ideology is just another trick up the evil ones sleeve to destroy God's beautiful creation. I have never seen this image. It is beautiful. I love seeing the younger priests and nuns who are so in awe of our Lord and their educational expressions.
As a Husband and a father, I struggle deeply with finding that tenderness and loving strength that being a husband and a father absolutely requires. Finding no better example than St Joseph, I will start to read more and study more to learn to be more of what made him the chosen Father of Jesus and Husband of Mary our Mother. St Joseph and all the saints in heaven please pray for fathers , men and boys in the world today. Amen🙏🏾

When I read the description mentioning "the Heart of the Father" , i tried it and immediately felt a massive surge of calm and happiness washing my cold anger away
My father and mother chose to get married on the Feast Day of St. Joseph. My dad was deeply committed to his faith and often requested strength though praying to St Joseph. Raising six children in a strict Catholic family must have required so much patience and strength He explained to me later that St Joseph is so close with Christ and God the father that he was simply asking St. Joseph to petition God on his behalf. He smiled and said that it's been working so he's going to keep it up ☺️
My parents were blissfully married for 37 years until he passed away.
On his death bed he would share with us the many blessings this Saint delivered to him and I really felt and shared his love and appreciation for St. Joseph .
My father slipped out of consciousness four days before his death. The Lord waited until my mother woke up and came downstairs so they could be together before his soul passed on. It happened to be the morning of thier 37th wedding anniversary, and the feast of St Joseph. I believe that it was my dads last request to The Patron of the Universal Church 🙂
I love that one day after this is published, the Pope declares this to be the year of St. Joseph!

I have the same statue! It’s my favorite piece of art in my house and allows me to contemplate and pray on the Holy Family’s first quiet moment after Christ was born “at midnight in Bethlehem in piercing cold” and what a gift it is to be created in God’s image🥺💕
Fr. Donald Calloway's book "Consecration to St. Joseph" is amazing, eye, heart and and soul-opening! Can't recommend it enough.
For those of you out there who are stepparents, God bless you for the choice you've made to raise others' children as your own. Our society will not hold you up and offer accolades. It's a tough, often times thankless task, but it is just and righteous. Your vocation is righteous and you are valued and appreciated.
Today, I invited and welcomed St. Joseph to become my 2nd earthly father.
St. Joseph, I want to get to know you. I want to experience your love and protection. Wrap me with the same love and care that you have given to Mary and Jesus. Teach me to be chaste, pure and strong like you. As my father, guide me in all my ways. Teach me and correct me, help me in following God’s will in my life. Intercede for me St. Joseph that I may imitate your faith and virtues.

This is PRECISELY what the world needs. What a beautiful affirmation of gender in a world that twists that reality or denies it - or vilifies it. We all have so much healing to do in order to move forward. Joseph has been a new patron in my life and I am very thankful for his help in my role as a husband and father.

My heart is full. But heavy with a sort of worry. Will I be able to provide everything my significant other needs and wants. I also know that I won't stop and will do everything I can for my loved ones.
This was absolutely beautiful and I teared up with how this struck me. I want to be able to provide like Joseph as he did for Mary and Jesus. Being that strength and protection, devoted and dedicated. I want this and I will strive for this. As St Joseph is one of my two confirmation Saints for RCIA. The other is Saint Michael the archangel. Two very very very powerful men that I am trying to make them proud in my pathway into Heaven.

I had a husband who was very much like this. We only got to be married for 4 and 1/2 years and then he was killed in a car accident. I am so grateful for those short years of love, but I also struggle with feeling like I must not be worthy of it, And maybe that's why God took him away. You are charged with the protection of and providing for the Son of God and his mother! You have to do that ON THE ROAD to Egypt because a madman with power is coming to kill Jesus.
Imagine that! Anyone who knows anything about "the streets" or making it in a rough neighborhood will tell you that he must have been a total beast!!
And to use all that amazing charisma and social skill to maintain poverty and a low-key life because he put his duty as their protectors first!!
This is an unselfish man devoted to God!
And I don't know. I'd never presume to speak for GOD. But Joseph must be totally elevated in Heaven!

We purchased this statue 20 years ago when we were first married! My desires were to be exactly like that! It has been a tumultuous ride in the broken world!! Maybe at times we resembled them, but we are far from being like them, but we do continue to try and by the grace of God, we are still together trying to resemble them more and shine a light in this dark world, especially at Advent!!
