This destruction of Gaza has been killing at a faster pace in total killed and is a far smaller population. Gaza has suffered about 2% of its population killed directly by military action in less than a year. This is also greater than the percentage killed in Ukraine despite that war having gone on for three times as long as this October 7 to present part of the Israel/Palestine civil war. Heck, France had a smaller percentage of its population killed in WW2 (1.4%). Japan had about 4%, Germany 10%, Italy 1.2%, UK 1%, US 0.3% and USSR 13.7% killed in the 1939-1946 period to give some perspective. If Gazans continue to die from this conflict at the current rate for the next 5 years it will have a larger portion of its population killed than any of them did.
