Amazed the Vikings did that well with SO MANY TURNOVERS!
When the game is out of reach Kirk does well.
@Cliptomaniacnever heard something so true lmao
They probably would won if not the turnovers
Cousins had a great game. 364 yards, 4 TDs. Too bad it was in a losing effort.
@Vince Gedeon Eagles would've had a bigger lead if they scored more.
That Vikings touchback just before the half was devastating.
Also HILARIOUS
It really cost em they could of scored points bro, Ima cowboys fan but dat game was good
10 point swing. if they score there or just on that drive they might've won.
I was just thinking about it.. is it kind of a dumb traditional rule that should be rethought..? Why is it that you can fumble at the one-yard line out of bounds and it's just your ball at the 1-yard line but as soon as it goes into the end zone and out then you lose possession of the ball..??
D'Andre Swift is one of the smoothest RB I've ever seen. This man looked like water rolling over a pane of glass last night. Not to mention his vision and patience to wait for gaps to develop and his IQ to change the play mid run if nothing develops. Eagles got got a good one on their hands.
He has the best OL in the league in front of him
@Isaiah Watkins Well see. I got it between The Eagles and KC. But even with that there were still times where he had to bounce it to the outside when the Dline and LB closed those gaps with a swiftness. That for me was the difference. He's a very patient and intelligent RB. He was operating like a QB at times reading the D then adjusting to suit what they were showing.
@ramonpilgrim6623 He's definitely a good back. Are you saying Philly & KC for the Super Bowl?
@Isaiah Watkins I meant the best Oline in the league. For me it's between KC and Phillys Olines
@ramonpilgrim6623 Oh, yeah I agree.
That turnover at the goal line from the Vikings really changed the game
What was the call? Fumble for touch back in the end zone?
@crazysquirell yea
That could've been the difference.
If JJ could have held on that would have definitely been a 1st and goal situation tough catch tho
This was a pretty good matchup. The Vikings, despite their turnovers still had an opportunity to win at the end. The Eagles look to possibly be returning to form.
Offensively the Eagles look like they're on their way. Defensively is another story.
The Vikings lost it, the Eagles didn’t win it.
@Nick Coker The Vikings didn't lose, the Eagles just won
@Phil AlexanderI agree.. losing CJ GJ was huge and they look like they took a step back and on the defensive line as well .
@Milwaukee Sav and now Avonte Maddox might be done for the year.
Cousins was playing for his life but his team kept letting him down, imo. Mad respect to that dude, he put his heart into this game down to the last whistle.
Imagine if his linemen actually gave him time to make a throw every once in a while. The man gets hit every single play.
@Timothy Szaboyou can’t have a bad defense and a bad o line and expect to compete but idk how cousins and the Vikings do it tho
thats why we making bank off kirko banks for the past 4 years fading him. dude is a literal atm printer
@timothyszabo6843 Cousins didn't get hit every single play. On the very last play of the game, the Vike's offensive line did a very good job blocking that ONE man rushed of Philadelphia. 😅
The Vikings have one of the best receiving cores in the league at WR and TE without a doubt, but their turnovers are costing them games big time. This is the same problem last season when they were very fortunate to win so many one score games.
Exactly, and high production with high turnover will always end up costing them… different teams over the years but horrible turnovers cost them big time. We can never forget the Vikings against the Saints… so bad, like 500+ yards of offense compared to 260 but 5 of the worst turnovers you’ve ever seen in your life. 3 of 3 lost fumbles and 2 interceptions… horrible, they should’ve won it all but couldn’t hold the rock.
Al Michaels still sounding as great as ever. What a treasure to still have greats like Al still doing his thing.
For sure! How long has he been doing it now?! Definitely one of the best!
"We begin the second quarter after a very _strange_ opening quarter." - Al Michaels
One of the best commentator's!! I miss him on Sunday night football.
How sad that TNF is the game with the best commentary.
Except for the time he referred to the Linc as Veterans Stadium... 🤪🤪😂😂
🏈💪 Cousins performed admirably, especially considering he had a 3rd string LT and a backup center by his side throughout the entire game! 👏🔥
That Vikings touchback just before the half was devastating.. A very high scoring game with a lot of great plays.
As a Lions fan, I’m so happy to see D’Andre Swift succeeding. Dude is a baller
was already injured for a qtr he won't last a few games, if the eagles just had an average runner, he'd be a super star that offensive line is amazing giant gaps everywhere.
As a bears fan Montgomery wasn’t playing like that with us when he was with the bears …”KC Game” but he sometimes had its ups and downs
Shout out to the Vikings literally fumbling every opportunity they had to take a lead in this game. Appreciate you!!
Vikings are throwing their season away early!
If JJ would of held on with both hands instead of fumbling for a touchback they win.
So glad the Vikings are 0-2!!
The packers could still be kings of the north and Rodgers is gone hahaha. skol
This Eagles, Vikings game reminds me of one of thier games back in 2016 when both teams had like 7 combined turnovers in the first quarter. That was Wentz' rookie year. The Vikings were the last undefeated team and they fell apart after that game and finished 8-8, missing the playoffs.
i remember that game
Great to see some improvement from the Eagles. It's great to see how the coordinators were able to counter Minnesota's run defense, and able to make some great plays on the field.
A very high scoring game with a lot of great plays
Can’t expect to win with all of those turnovers. Absolutely brutal.
De’Andre Swift looked incredible💚! He looks settled in our offense and it will take time for our defense to be healthy again… but in the next 3-5 weeks I suppose full form Eagles are back🦅
As a Lions fan, happy for Swift, he has had a lot of injuries and to see him be able to stay healthy a perform is great. Hope he stays healthy all season to see his full potential behind that Philly line!
with his injuries he's only missed 3-4 games when out which is not a whole lot a season. I'm just glad he proved lion fans wrong saying he wasn't a everyone back and can't handle bulk amount of carries.
@QWRB1 Idk what Lions fans you talked to, but a lot of us called for him to carry a heavier load. He always just had a nagging injury that he would play through like shoulder, ankle etc. that would then lead to him having to take time off. So he had to be put on a snap count. Swift is fast, shifty, and deceivingly strong, but at the end of the day the best ability is availability.
@QWRB1 As a lions fan, we love Swift, but don't think one game like this means he's proven us wrong. He has several breakout games like this. He's an amazing back but those carries WILL add up. The problem is, when he does eventually get injured, he doesn't look the same coming back from injury. So he may only miss 4 games but then the remaining games he doesn't play like the same RB you saw today
@FrostyBoi he literally looked the same last year coming out of injury. But for some reason he was in the dog house after like week 4 for missing games. After week 4 he only got like 6-10 touches a game. Not swifts fault he wasn’t getting touches
@Alex Bost Are you a Lions fan and watch every game? It was very obvious how hesitant he was to hit a hole or take any type of contact after his injury. He ran timid and it caused him to lose yards often.
That 1 man rush was hysterical
The Eagles didn't play a great game offensively or defensively, but they controlled the line of scrimmage and time of possession
Exactly I think hurts should of played more in the preseason
Hurts is definitely not looking like his last year self
@Joaquin Marqueznew coordinator. Growing pains.
@Zach M. cant blame this on the coordinator. Hurts isnt as good as last year
Reminds me of the Vikings with Favre in the Conference Championship against the Saints. That game was plagued with fumbles by so many Vikings players. They still had a chance in the end though.
Probably one of Kirk’s best primetime performances
naw The Eagles caused yall to have them turnovers we aint give away shii
364 yds 4 tds, thats a badass performance. The rest of the team let him down.
Man it feels good having football back. Sundays are either lit or hell.
This game proved RBs matter and a strong rushing attack still matters.
So eloquent
Vikings D on the field for so long was a bonus.
Sure they do but make no mistake about it, a very large part of that was the Vikings having 4 turnovers and having a bottom 3 defense in the NFL
No one is saying RBs don't matter. They're saying that RBs are a dime a dozen. Boston Scott would have had 100+ yards last night. He's undrafted.
Not really, it proves the importance of an offensive line if anything. A good rushing attack does not matter anymore in the league lol. A good offensive line let’s you do whatever you want.
This was an amazing game. I had so much fun watching it last night!
So happy football is back!
I knew swift was a great pickup when we got him. He's definitely going to have a 1,000+ yard season if he keeps this same energy.
Love the running game rn.
If he can stay healthy, he's an excellent back.
he stays healthy he is going for 2k yards for sure
more realistic number is probably 1500-1600 tho
If they actually use him from start to finish..they didn't start feeding him until the 2nd qtr and last week he had one rushing attempt and targeted twice for the entire game🙃
@Nea Khalifa hes never had over 600 yards in any season, hes never played a full season, hes always hurt, and last year lions had a top 5 offensive line too. The only reason he played was Gainwell was hurt
Turnovers aside, the chemistry between Kirk and Justin is almost unmatched. The trust they have with each other is crazy; Kirk can thread the needle through three or four defenders and know that Justin will always catch them.
But they lost
jj is good, but he wasn't playing up to his usual form while covered by slay, but when he got matchups against the rest of the secondary he lit them up
@TimesUpdoesn’t mean that his comment isn’t true
@Tyler Reeks no TDs in 2 games. Addison is doing better then JJ.
Lot of respect for Cousins he has came along way as a QB.
Agreed.. I didn’t care for him at first. He has gotten much better.
Good to see all the ex Lions actually putting in effort! Hock, Slay, and swift. That's the best Swift played IN HIS LIFE.
He literally had to run through gaping huge holes. Not hard.
It still looked rusty for the Eagles. The defense was doing better and saving what the offense (especially the OL) was lacking at the start.
Great passing plays on the Vikings' side.
With so much going on, I was wondering why the fans were so quiet. Or is that just the acoustics in the stadium?
That touchback on Jefferson was insane.
Excellent play Eagles 🦅💪🏾🏈
Good Luck to the Vikings the rest of the way. You gave the Eagles a fight! - Eagles fan.
They did do better than last time facing us
@Devin Livingston yes they did
Cousins did really well considering he was playing with a 3rd string LT and a backup center all game.
Kirk Cousins has been hit 19 times over the past 2 games, and has 6TDs and 1INT that wasn't his fault. That has to be a record of some sort.
This guy has no OLINE, no run game, and still standing in the pocket ripping it to everyone.
I used to rip on Cousins until I realized how terrible his linemen are.
It’s sad how much people like to hate him for no reason lmao
they got rid of dalvin cook so im not expecting much from their running game
Nah he's solid for sure. His accuracy on point
It's encouraging for me as a Lions supporter to see Hockinson and Swift actually looking good for both clubs.
🦅⚽ The Eagles didn't have their best offensive or defensive game, but they dominated the line of scrimmage and controlled the time of possession ⏰🏈
This game got better with time despite the Vikings lost they still play good, look at Kurt Cousin he was drilling passes threading the needle watch out for the Vikings good game Philly hurts so good in this game.
So proud of Kirk cousins for playing almost perfect football in a primetime game even with a loss that makes me happy never thought I would see that
Cousins was great, his receivers were dropping as many passes as Mahomes'
Kirk Cousins & Justin Jefferson played phenomenal in a loss.
Qb, JJ, Addison, Hock all did pretty good but the turnovers were aids to see and Mattison is worse than I thought unfortunately.
@RkellyGoldenShower Mattison performed really poorly tonight. I'm not talking about the lack of rushing production, I'm talking about the 2 fumbles.
that's how it usually goes w the vikings lol
@RkellyGoldenShower not like the Oline helped Mattison much but agreed 2 fumbles and a bad outing again
Really, "phenomenal". 😂
Finally an exciting game this season.🎉
Great game! Go Birds! 🦅🏈💚
I watch Thursday night games JUST to hear Al!!! He is simply the best. Then John Madden, then Cris Collingsworth ❤ This was a good game!
Thank you, JJ for the fantasy points and thank you Philly, go Lions.
Just like last week against the Patriots the Eagles 🦅 do just enough to get the win over the Vikings. Big plays from the Eagles offense in critical moments along with Jake Elliot’s clutch kicking and 61 yard field goal made the difference.
My little cousin was an Eagles fan and i am a Vikings fan. Unfortunately he passed recently and we are burying him this Saturday. I’m happy the Eagles won, hope you enjoyed that W Marcos. Miss you perro!
😂😂
Sry for your loss bro
@xwtf is funny
@Jesus christmas those are crying ...
@Z0RDR4CKthat is laughin emojis
Eagles office looked absolutely amazing, but with Bradberry out in a couple of other players out, the defense struggled, but we were still able to pull the win off.
We def need bradberry back. Jobe is a weak link
Offense looked suspect too
No one going to mention the 61 yard haymaker from the golden leg? that heat could have cleared from 70
Timelin of NFL's Tackling rules -
2013 - A Reasonable Compromise
" A player must not use the crown of the helmet when making a tackle. "
2018 - Off The Deepend
" A player cannot lower his head when attempting to tackle."
2022 - Hitting Rock Bottom
" A player cannot touch another player with his helmet when attempting to tackle. "
It looked almost like the Vikings were on the verge of a last minute come-back.
That was One Helluva of a Game. In the First Half Vikings looked Self destructive with the Turnovers and Mistakes. But it was Good too See Them Rebound 🪃🪃 and Comeback. That's a Definite Plus too Build On. Thank You for Sharing the Highlights.
D’Andre Swift has won many fantasy users hearts with his performance running the ball tonight. The eagles’ offense had a hard time getting it going early, but was able to pull through in the end
He’s mid
Not last week
@Trance T I just said tonight. Did you not read my comment???
Too bad he was on my bench…😢
I STARTED HIM!
Swift's patience & vision is PHENOMENAL
Never seen so many fumbles in one game by one team in my life just in the first half omg viking will be working on hold the ball all week for sure
D'andre Swift is looking good in green!!! Best free agent signing in Philly!!! Let's go Eagles!!! Fly Eagles Fly!!!
Good game and I'm happy about the nice 2-0 start but that eagles pass protection is scaring me. It's gonna cost us too much if we don't patch that up.
Hurts has a lot of maturing to do. Get rid of the ball and not take sacks, Don't be afraid to throw across the middle, only run when absolutely necessary and trust the running backs to carry the ball.
It’s not really the o line. Hurts has to get the ball out quicker and stand stronger in the pocket. Sometimes he shifts towards the incoming tackle
We've got to prioritize run establishment first. Once our line has success there I feel like it ups their aggressiveness and we get in Sync for the passing game as well. Just my opinion
Can we talk about the fact that for once a Vikings Primetime game doesn't fall on Cousins not playing well, but his team.
People act like the eagles played poor but I saw the opposite, this Vikings passing attack is insane and the Vikings are going to win a lot of games if they can quit committing comical amounts of turnovers.
It's like watching the three stooges SKOL
@William ButcherSKOL this team blows
As an Eagles fan the Eagles have definitely play mid-poor the last 2 games. BUT they know how to win games and do the little things better than almost any team in the league. Don't know if they'll got to the Super Bowl again this year, but you can never count them out.
I have to say the Eagles got very lucjy with the game changing moment, the last vikings play of the 1st half and then hit a 61 yard field goal! They then scored 7 immediately after the half which must have deflated the vikings. still kurt kept throwing dimes and they fought back. Good game in the end.
Even with that many turnovers , vikings still had a chance to win the game.
Love my Vikings but as someone stated you got to run the ball also like Philly did I was afraid of that when they let Dalvin Cook go you got to have a balance attack.
How do Vikings keep dropping the ball but were still able to catch up to Philly?!
But in all seriousness I'm so glad Eagles hung in there and won the game!
Never been a Kissing Cousins fan but that dude’s got heart. 🐻⬇️
As a lions fan, it’s no surprise swift had a monster game like that…just hope he stays healthy through this year 🙌🏽
I’m a Vikings fan. I predict the Lions sweep MN.
As a Eagles fan now seeing Swift from both sides he is a dangerous back when healthy.
Pleasure doing business 👊
Swift is straight up explosive 😮 Was very impressed as an Eagles fan. Knew all along he was the most talented back, was only a matter of time before we found out for sure. Still like Gainwell, but he should be a change of pace guy, or maybe carry a 25% workload while Swift is RB1, and Penny and Scott contribute situationally
As a UGA fan I’m happy to see him finally get going
May be 0-2 atm, but the Vikings still have that no quit play. Turnovers costed them both games, and the defense actually look good at times. Officiating was pretty bad as well. I like the way the Vikings look, even if they are 0-2 atm. Hope this season will be like the last 2, many close wins, coming from behind. Makes every game great.
In Two Games the amount of players that are injured on The Eagles is crazy but ultimately still got the Win
Watched the 1st half live. I see Philadelphia maintained its momentum in the 2nd half.
As long as cousins keeps playing like that watch out when the rest of the teams up to par. A lot of mistakes but still a fun close game to watch considering.
JJ's fumble at the goal line was the difference. That was a 10 point swing.
I understand why us birds fans are still a bit skeptical about brian johnson, but the fact that he completely changed the gameplan to run first, and stuck with it, is a very good sign that he is capable of making in-game adjustments. Still lots of work to do, but I have full faith this team can play like last year again
You were up the whole game it's not rocket science. Up by 2 scores run the ball n milk the clock 🤣
You must not be an eagles fan almost every game we were up 2 scores last year we ended up having losing and having a nail biter. For some reason we would never run the ball I’m sure miles could have had 1500+ maybe 2k if we would have ran the ball more
@Stephen Fragoso You must've never seen the Andy Reid years...
idk how that’s your takeaway from this you were playing one of the five worst defenses last year the offense is clearly not even a shell of what it was last year
@Dubnation #1clearly?? How u say? They literally have everyone back expectnfor Miles and Swift is as good or even better then Miles so u tripping 😂😂. AJ and Devonate easily will have 1k each with probably 10+ TDS each if Hurts don’t get hurt
GG from both teams. If hurts can take better advantage of the turnovers the defense gets him, they’ll be good to go.
I love watching Justin Jefferson and Devonta Smith. Top wide receivers imo
E.A.G.L.E.S 🦅
Great game!
Kirk played well, but it wasn't enough to beat the Eagles, who looked very impressive overall.
Je suis émerveillé par le talent derrière cette vidéo. Elle est incroyable !
Cette vidéo est une œuvre d'art. Incroyable !
Good to see Philly win but my goodness that was much more closer than it should have been considering the number of turnovers Vikings had. GG Minnesota :)
3 starters down in the secondary. Hurts trying to get use to this new offense and offensive coordinator his family friend. It's going to take 4 or 5 more games for the secondary to catch up with the defensive line. Also, for the new offensive and defensive coordinators to put everything together.
We have a lot of injuries
Because the eagles are frauds
D'Andre Swift was nearly unstoppable in this game.
I remember when bama dropped jalen and he went to sooners and almost got revenge on the blowtide im so happy hes doing well in the nfl I wanted him to succeed
We didn’t drop him, he graduated from bama and transferred
Cousins look very very good under pressure on some of these plays. Patiently waiting for the expected opening and throwing a nice clean ball with a defender about to pummel him. Good stuff. Go bucs, tho ( lol ).
To everyone in the comments , the eagles are still adjusting to this new offense , hurts is still adjusting , this offense put up 34 points and like 450 yards of total offense , and they still haven’t played to their full potential , and trust me when that happens the league is in trouble . Also what did y’all expect was going to happen with the defense , the eagles had three key starters out ( bradberry , Blankenship and dean) and were facing one of the best passing offenses last night .
Stop acting like the Eagles having injuries are exclusive. The Vikings missing multiple starters on the OL, and that defense the Eagles faced was just assembled this year (new coordinator). It's week 2 for everyone bruh - NOBODY is playing their top ball yet - give me a break
@Guy Black He's just making the point that the Birds were down 3 of their most key pieces in the pass defense and the Vikes have some of the most effective weapons when it comes to the passing game. It's a recipe for disaster, even with a stacked roster, when you don't match up well with the opposing teams strongest part of their game. Every team whines about injuries, get over it
Sounds like excuses from both sides
Always awesome hearing Al Michaels, he is the goat.
Now that was a great game! Both teams looked great! The Vikings may be 0-2 but they did just play one of the best teams. And they played great despite losing! Congratulations Eagles!
Its going to be long season for both teams. They have some much to improve on.
Us Eagles fans thanks the Vikings for giving us this win...
Talk for yourself
You are welcome. We let you win so that we can make the greatest comeback in the division ever in the NFL, Lol
2:14 that hit by viking defender. My god.
I thought the Vikings might win this game until Jefferson fumbled through the end zone. The entire momentum shifted to the Eagles after that.
That JJ fumble/touchback is just one of those brutal unfortunate plays. 9/10 times he holds onto it for the TD, or the fumble bounces out of bounds. It was basically a reverse Dez Bryant “no catch” play.
As a Bears fan JJ looks primed to have another great season, Kirk still looks like the best QB in the division despite the preseason hype around Goff.
That game was way closer than it had any business being.
Eagles defense sucks that's why
If Jefferson wouldn't have fumbled the ball at the goal line the Vikings will win the game 35 to 34 so don't count the Vikings out the Eagles Arnot knockout good this year
@Kool Kitties Vikings really beat themselves.
The Eagles got lucky that the NFL has one of the dumbest touchback rules.
@Kool KittiesThe eagles likely wouldn't have had the field goal either. That BS rule ruined the game, the Vikings should have been 14-10 at the half.
Being down two o-linemen from an already weak line must be a nightmare for Kirko :(
Swift looked real good Fr I hope they keep giving him chances like this and don’t make it a committee
Eagles and Vikings both looking good. (Albeit a few turnovers) Definitely two playoff caliber teams.
Nice to see the players fight even when its about that last half yard
"They can play better and they will" 🦅
vikings have the potential to dominate games like this. Just gotta protect the ball. They really gonna be good as the season goes on.
The schedule doesn't get any easier. In the next 5 games they have the Chargers, Chiefs and 49ers. All at home but still very tough teams.
*"Dominate"* lmao
maybe in another universe
Addison AND Jefferson??? Gonna be a lethal duo
D’Andre Swift
28 attempts
175 rushing yards
1 rushing touchdown
24.1 Fantasy Points!
That is why you build your team thru the trenches 💪
Остросюжетный матч! Если бы Vikings в атаке пораньше включились бы в игру, то могли бы и выиграть. Eagles пока что не производят впечатление отлаженного механизма для побед
I agree! Where are you from, if you don’t mind me asking? I’m not super smart at recognizing other language when I see them on CZcams lol
Cousins absolutely out-passed Hurts tonight. And again we see the Eagles' DL not getting to the QB in time to prevent throws to loosely covered receivers. Same as Game 1 on Sunday. Opponents are figuring out how to wreck our defense, and bottle up Hurts. If there's not improvement, this isn't going to be another 1-loss season. As an Eagles fan, I can only hope Cowboys aren't as dominant as they looked against Giants.
You don’t have to worry brotha, it’s the cowboys , and they still have mike McCarthy the worst clock manager in NFL history. I truly believe they will always be average with dak, McM and jerry. They literally lose like minimum 2 games a year due to clock management alone lol. If micha parsons and the secondary could run the whole organization then I’d be worried.
@rapptimes226 Jerry got 3 rings since the late 80s , Philly got one in everyone's lifetime. You're speaking dallas crushing the east into existence.
They were missing their best safety and a starting corner so I’m not losing sleep yet
We had 3 injuries to our 2ndary. Maddox, Blankenship, and bradburry
Cowboys are fool's gold
The vikings may be the best 0- 2 team in the nfl as of this week.. like they were super competitive throughout and kirk cousins is a baller regardless
