Thank you. I’m assuming I must have a virus on my firestick. I reset it to factory settings 2x ran your virus detection and the def one nothing found. It’s running extremely slow some apps pics don’t show up and when I open an app it fails with no network connection when the connection is fine. Any thoughts?? Thanks!

That’s how mine works. One of them says it’s got a virus and the other one is green so I don’t know if I leave it🙈 this is the app is Netflix.

Normally means it's not been previously checked by anything

On my Firestick, amazon won’t let me stream any videos that are on prime (unless I "own" it)if I’m connected via a vpn. Any suggestions?
Depending on wether your vpn has split tunnelling (usually in settings) you can choose apps to route around vpn. Hope this helps

I use either Red Box TV or Live Net TV. Plenty of sports channels and PPV events on there.

Hi doc squiff, question, the defsqid always has a more brutal outcome than the virus total, and I like the latter, when I scan with that everything is green, but the same apps scanned with defsqid show otherwise, in fact malicious in some cases, and to my surprise it was an official amazon app from the appstore that showed malicious, I don't like defsqid for this reason, however, getting back to my question, which one is correct? I'm assuming that defsqid is incorrect based on the fact that it would mean I would have to uninstall apps that I don't want to uninstall, and virus total makes me feel more comfortable, but am I making a mistake? Should I actually be going by defsqid? I hope not, but I would appreciate an answer to this, and I'm sure there must be a lot of other firestick users who are experiencing the same problem as me, thanks
defsquid throws a warning when there were more then zero detections. the virus total app just displays warnings when there were more than 2-3 detections. i want to keep my stick clean so i prefer defsquid
Why not just delete them in VIRUS TOTAL? TOP RIGHT CORNER.

Virus total for me i went to someones site to add a app. I installed the app then i did a
virus total scan good thing i did that cuz that that app had 26 viruses on the app.
I done deleted that app. IF i did NOT scan i would have opened a can of worms.
Every time i use the fire stick i use the virus total app

Ok so question, because you are the 2nd person that said to go into “my fire tv” then to click on “unknown sources” or whatever but when I click on the “unknown sources” option it doesnt give me a list of apps to control that setting individually per app like I keep seeing y’all do. I just get the option to toggle that setting on/off. Does that mean something is wrong or no??
