Mohd, Glad you found the content helpful. Cheers!
Muy buena explicación
Glad you found it helpful!
but why do we need to create another table (or using Summarize function) ? we can find the same number from the original table?
Sophy Rath, Good question. Yes, you can use the original table as well. Personally, I like to use Summarize to create table expressions that are part of other DAX functions such as CALCULATETABLE.
Hi Nestor..!!
Thank you for posting the amazing stuff.
Just a small suggestion, while solving the case , please do mention the question once again on the screen.
Hope you got me and Cheers.....!!!!
Krishna,
Thanks for your feedback. I'll keep this in mind for my next tutorials!
Merci
Keep up the great work, Codm44 Data!👍
excellent video as always Nestor. However I don't think this is the perfect use case of summarize function. you can achieve the same result without summarize by using just a table or matrix . Summarize function will be helpful in a case where we get the duplicates in rows ( like an example shared by Ruth on her channel called Curbal on youtube)
Too many functions too much of confusion in power bi. The same thing can be achieved with matrix without summarize , pl correct me if am wrong
Raja,
Thanks for stopping by. Yeah, DAX can sometimes be overwhelming. I usually use SUMMARIZE to create virtual tables. Virtual tables are table expressions embedded in more complex calculations. Virtual tables give you more flexibility to play with the data. If you want learn more about virtual tables, you might want to check this video. Cheers! czcams.com/video/GH3prQ0GLkQ/video.html
