  • Pattaya creates many happy memories but very sadly it can also cost you everything if you meet the wrong partner here in Pattaya.
So how do men come here to Pattaya and end up walking away with nothing? What are the signs that you are on that slippery slope?
Pattaya is a wonderful city, no doubt about that but you really do need your wits about you, especially when it comes to the women here!

Here's the real root of the problem: that first time you meet a woman who pays attention to you. If you're a guy whose lived in a typical western country, you might be 30, 40, 50 years old, and that Thai woman, in a beer bar, is the first woman in your entire life whose ever smiled when you spoke to her, paid attention to you, and actually seemed interested in you (that "first woman" often includes your own mother). She's put in no effort at all, but it's so much more effort than you've ever received before.
Men are completely unprepared for how to handle that. In your home country, you've been a dog all your life who hasn't gotten a single table scrap, now, you're at the table eating the full course meal. It's not fair to expect a man to make rational decisions in that situation.
Men need to trained for this stuff. Once you learn that it is what it is, you can go to Thailand, have a wonderful trip, have a lot of fun, and come back home relaxed, re-energized and refreshed. Just be sure that Thai girl doesn't have your phone number, and that you don't have her's, and never call her again.

You are absolutely right,, we are snakes, snails n puppy dog tails, they were sugar spice n everything nice,, PURE BULLSHIT,, masking evil,, all my buddies have been skewered. Left with nothing but social security, many died from prostate cancer due to inactivity and thats just fine with the women. What a horrible ending and the women enjoy every nano second of it. So when a man is lucky enough to find the much needed happines, he is uneducated butter in the hands of the.young smiling witch under tremendous family pressure.

This information is priceless. I lived (past tense!) in the Pacific Northwest of the USA. Born there. Like most men there, we have been sexually deprived, emotionally abuse and financially raped. Having seen a ton of videos on the subject, I see it is in epidemic proportions nation wide to the point of backlash like Passport Bros. Then if a man has the wits and means to escape to Asia, he is like a kid in a candy store with unlimited finances. He is wounded damaged goods and an easy target. He was raised with rescuers, role models like superman. I have a friend who was in the Navy. He survived the usual Family Court processing/rinsing. Devastated. So he went to the Philippines where he had visited in the Navy. He found Rosy and her two daughters. He married her and brought them to Washington to live in his house. I went to many Filipino gatherings there. Oh, honey I love you sooooo much. Then 2 years almost to the day, he got the notice. Rosy went for his throat. She had her daughters make false sexual accusations. They were lying and he wasn't convicted of anything but it was hell. Here is an example of mother coyote teaching her children. Rosy got the house, half his retirement and the bank accounts and he had to pay off her charge cards. Then he had to pay support for the 2 daughters for 4 years. Then, a year later, I found out through mutual Filipino friends that Rosy sponsored and moved her X boyfriend from the Philippines, into my buddys house and they got married. My buddy dropped out of circulation. I haven't heard from or about him since.

Great video, I would say I fit the stereotype I lost a marriage was suffering chronic ptsd from work, medically discharged and hit Thailand in my 60"s with money and no job... I wouldn't say I lost the lot but would say for 3 years spent alot and learnt alot, I did spread the love thou...
Built a bar, had alot of fun but now know it was straight out escapism... I wasn't a big drinker but could binge... No real regrets but I was generous... The bar actually saved me as I got to look at guys and what they were doing... I sold the bar before covid hit made a profit and had lived off it... I went back and forth home alot... I've never thought of living perm in Thailand...I love Thai women...
Suggestions would be with girls, under promise over deliver...realise a girl who has worked in bars awhile basically is a charming liar...
And always get a hotel with a good mirror... Most of us are not that handsome just too nice...

A friend of mine (from the UK) had an attractive bar-girl girlfriend who he shared ownership in a bar and a house. At first everything was great and the bar was making money. However, they began to quarrel and she kicked him out of the house and took over his bar. He lost everything money-wise and was reduced to being a bum sleeping on the Pattaya beach. A few years later, he was able to move back to the UK (just much poorer and and in bad health). His girlfriend legally owned the house and land in Thailand (foreigners can't own Thai land). She also had multiple well-off sponsors, who she got while being legally married to him. Whenever I think of retiring in Thailand, I think of my UK friend and his negative experiences. I hope this never happens to me.

Maybe your most important vid Trev. Monied foreign men, especially divorced men, newly single or coming out of broken relationships are especially vulnerable to being deceived by and drawn to the bar scene and bar girls false affections. Your personal experience has no doubt been played out in the lives of thousands of farang who came to Thailand and were mesmerized by slim, beautiful friendly Thai women and their tricks. Agree, Asian women, especially Thais, are among the most attractive on the planet. When you come to Thailand you will be surprised by all the attention you get from the opposite sex, this is partly cultural but also good for business. If you fall for the hardship story from a beautiful Thai woman and decide to be her white knight, be prepared to lose everything in the pursuit of an illusion. Stay single, enjoy the attention and if you are looking for a Thai partner, learn from others mistakes.

Hi. I am new to your channel. This was a great video. Thanks for the talk. I have been to Thailand many times and have met great girls and a few bad. This is a good subject for the newbie and people need to hear more. You are right that many girls are in it for the money. You meet a bar girl, she is poor with a poor family and there is a lot of pressure for her to bring home the money. I have friends who have married Thai girls and or live in Thailand and have had relationships that have been a disaster. I have also met a small few who have met the right girl and have a wonderful and families. I have been very fortunate to screen out the bad girls and find a few gems. Keep up the good work and I hope we can share a beer or two on my return to Pattaya.

The best way NOT to lose everything in Pattaya is: DO NOT trust the bar girls (too much) !!! I learned my lesson fast: when I was in Pattaya for the first time (in 2011) I bar-findes a girl in one of the bars in Soi 8. When we were in my hotel room her "boy friend" from England called. They had a nice chat and she told him she were still in the bar because she doesn't go with customers any more because of her boy friend. I listened to that unpatiently and she excused herself like "SORRY for that, but he sends my money every month". We then had s** ... and since then I am a BUTTERFLY !!! đŸ€Ș

Bro this is a great vid.. Ive been to Thailand many times and one of the last times there I got scammed in Patong. I met a girl online as I like to have a GF experience whenever I would come to Thailand and she got me.. Half way thru my holiday she went crazy. She wouldn't leave me alone I ended up having to pay her 30k baht just to leave me alone and I had to change locations of where I was living at that time because she was still calling my phone and acting crazy.. Many guys get got but I still love Thailand but I now have my head on straight when dealing with the girls.. I even had a girl fight another girl in Pataya.. Its crazy out there but I still love it.. Thanks for the good work Bro..

Trev that's one of your best videos, it came across as totally off-the-cuff wisdom. And thanks for sharing snippets of your personal stories. The moral of the story seems to be: many of the women there are hardcore golddiggers and expert actresses who are like Cold War spies who will go deep undercover in a relationship for YEARS - convincingly faking love for you - to then resurface as their true cruel self when they've finally got what they want from you... and ruined you, despite all you've done for them. The capacity for such extreme cruelty towards somebody who treated them so well is breathtaking. So I'm surprised some of the wronged old boys don't take the young lady along with them on the final Balcony Airlines trip with The Pattaya Flying Club.
The problem is that it's hard to believe anybody could be such a clever faker for so long. So after a year or so with a woman, as you say, you let your guard down, like... "I can see in her eyes she really loves me" so it doesn't even cross your mind that it could be a lie.
I've seen it with philipino maids and home care nurses too in HK, Sing and USA - it's like they've spent their whole life training how to pretend they've fallen hopelessly in love with their host. So the old boy starts a relationship with them and eventually writes them in to his will. Mission Accomplished.

Hey Trevor this was one of the best or greatest video that you made. You hit the nail right on the head, telling it like it is in Thailand. Especially in Pattaya where you can get suck into the environment (Bar scene and dating scene). When you first get there, its a new and unbelievable world for a first timer. If you let your guard down, they got you Mr ATM and they don't let go until the money is gone. The best advice I can say is look what you can afford, if you walk away from everything. Meaning if you had Condo or any other assets, can you afford to walk away without being financially Devastated. Trevor keep up the great work and videos, you deserve a beer and few shots. Excellent video Trev and pertinent content for anyone visiting Thailand. Funnily enough, I have been speaking to a few Thai ladies from TF. Met a few lovely women on there with normal jobs and businesses in some cases. However, there one lady who’s a primary school teacher and every conversation seems to be geared towards how much she struggles, and implied requests for support. I normally brush it off with empathy and kind words. Two weeks ago I finally relented and sent her 6000 as a Xmas gift, low and behold, two days later it’s all spent and the guilt trip starts again. Now, not five minutes ago, her grandad has died and she needs 3000 to visit him in another province. Suffice to say I said no, and won’t be continuing our chats anymore. Short term pain has given me long term gain in her case. It’s so easy to be sucked in to their lies and half truths. It’s another lesson from the LOS.

** Big tip! Never advertise your wealth! You *never* benefit! **
I remember going to a car showroom in Dubai three decades ago (I used to work in the deserts of Abu Dhabi) with a colleague of mine who I knew for a fact was a cash USD millionaire. We were looking at all these Italian supercars - in our desert clothes - when a young salesman from Jordan or Palestine came over and, seeing us admiring these Ferraris and Lamborghinis, said, "Hmm, it would be nice to be able to afford one of these cars, right?" I was expecting my workmate to say something along the lines of, "You stupid little prick. I could buy 4 of these now in cash if I wanted to", because I thought that is what I would have said if I had been a cash USD millionaire. But he did not say anything and his facial expression did not change. I think I actually kicked his ankle as if to say, "Tell him!" However, he just smiled and ushered me out. He was 30 years older than myself and was my mentor at work, so I respected him and would never dream of speaking to him angrily in front of anyone else.
Once outside however I exploded on my mate and mentor! I remember saying to him, "Why didn't you say to that guy that, whereas he could barely afford to buy a wing-mirror for one of those cars, you could buy every single one in the showroom if you wanted to!" He just looked at me, sighed, and said, "Tell me one way in which I benefit from letting *anyone* - let alone a complete stranger - know I have money?"
This was 30 years ago but it has stuck with me ever since. Up until then I thought - that is, I had been 'programmed' to believe - that if you had money and financial security/stability then you had to advertise the fact in public at each and every opportunity. Otherwise, what was the point of having it? Your clothes should communicate the fact that you have money. Your car should tell people you have money. Your watch should advertise the fact you have money. Everything you do, say, and have should be engineered to prove you have money. That is what I had previously thought and believed.
I immediately saw then however that he was right, that he was spot on, in fact. You *never* benefit from ever letting *anyone* ever know you have money; all you do is tell people something that they do not need to know, and potentially leave yourself vulnerable and open to exploitation.
** Big tip! Never advertise your wealth! You *never* benefit! **

If you own a property at home keep it and rent it out. Also if you can leave some money in an account at home and dont touch it. The biggest mistake is selling up everything at home. I have don it in the past (moved abroad but not to Thailand) and it all went horribly wrong meaning I had to move back home and start all over again. Lesson learned, you need at all costs to maintain the safety net at home in case it all goes wrong. If you cant afford to move here without selling up at home then just stick to coming here on holiday.
