Why does the rotation of the surface extrude only work when your curve's starting point faces in the positive Z axis? Is there any way to work around this so that it's more flexible to use?
convenient it's only a minute and 40 seconds. Less convenient you have to pause and skip back by every action because it goes so fucking fast. In result this 1:41 video took me a lot more

Thanks for the tutorial! I do everything as in the video, but when I type in rotate value it messes up the whole thing. How can I solve this?

to make the extruded surface invisible or disappear? I'm using Maya LT 2018
mathiasaxelsson after converting to isoplam the extruded tube is no longer needed. I just select it and press “h” on keyboard to hide it.

After we extrude we no longer want to see that so i just pressed "h" to hide it. Hope it helps :)
