+metfan4l idk If they had a go to see who is better and if Gene beat Haake, I don't think it would make Tomas any less of a drummer. Gene is a beast, and I've heard him play some really great stuff. But there is just so many killer drummers out there that its really hard to choose. There are a lot of guys that are criminally underrated, like Flo Mournier. Some say he is sloppy but I'm telling you, any band that has him as a drummer, wouldn't be complaining. He doesn't sound sloppy to me. Other guys that are criminally underrated Lex Kincaid he played on a record with Soulfly. And after listening to him, I think he can play just about anything, had he been out there more, he definitely would have made a name for himself as a monster. Chris Kontos the best Machine Head drummer, imo. Just a whole bunch of really good drummers out there no one talks about. Jon Dette who always seems to step up for Slayer when they needed a drummer, but he never found a permanent seat in that band, also really good.

Heavy, fast, and complex as shit, but with touch, sensitivity, details, and dynamics that's extremely rare in metal drumming, especially in extreme metal.
