The piano intro alone is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I’ve ever heard; a heartbreakingly melodic expression of pure emotion. For me, it’s a work of genius (as is the rest of the song) I’ll never tire of it.

So true Bruce Springsteen is a musical genius. So is the first rock band Bruce saw in concert in Atlantic City new Jersey. THE WHO and Bruce wanted to be like them. PETE TOWNSHEND is a musical genius. I live at the Jersey shore just down the parkway from where Bruce lives cape may new Jersey. I heard a interview with Bruce talking about how seeing the who live. He had to be a rock star. Saw Bruce 4 times and the WHO 5 TIME'S. They are the greatest rock bands ever ever. Still all these years later no rock band comes close.

Holy shxt! This is truly amazing. Not many videos exist of bruce and the boys in their inspirational prime. No one can keep up this creative intensity forever. Incredible to see. Great to witness Bruce nostalgia from those long ago days. But This old piece is worth a thousand Bruce repetitions today. And i'm sure he knows that. And so what?: he climbed to the summit. We should all be so lucky to do it for five minutes.

Great song about the relationship between two men having to hide their love on the "backstreets". You can hear the influence of Van Morrison's "Madame George".

What? The song has nothing to do with 2 guys(not that there is anything wrong with it), he repeatedly describes terry as "she" and " little girl", bruce stated in his book its about a broken friendship. If you want to take it that way, its ok. Thats not what the song is about. Well, according to the guy that wrote it.

@@briancrawford7981 listen again. He never says little girl. He says Terry. We swore forever friends. Not boyfriend/ girlfriend. Running for our lives at night on the Backstreets. Why are they running and hiding on the Backstreets? WOMEN DON'T TRY TO WALK LIKE HEROES? Valentino drag. Dancers. Some hurt bad some dying. "I hated HIM when you walked away". Bruce was inspired by Van Morrison 'Madame George". Its on "Astral Weeks". Bruce is a great songwriter.

Two guys can love each other for sure, the greatest relationships I've had were with other guys; but that doesn't mean they're having butt-sex. I know that's what homosexuals want to think. They try project their gayness on other men. By the way, Bruce is straight, as straight as the come.

Saw them in Milwaukee, Wisconsin about a month and one-half earlier from this tour. Known as the bomb threat show. It was astounding. They were such a good, good band live. Nothing quite like it.
