  • This is a playthrough using Mokujin in the PS1 version of Tekken 3. Read on below for more information...
    Mokujin is a hidden character in the game, and he is an unlockable playable character.
    ===== HOW TO UNLOCK MOKUJIN =====
    Beat Arcade Mode 4 times. He is the 4th character you unlock.
    ===== ABOUT MOKUJIN =====
    He is a wooden training dummy, made from a 2000-year oak tree. He was originally placed in a museum for a long time, until he became "alive" and gained self-identity and awareness as a result of the God of Fighting awakening. It is speculated that he wants to help martial artists.
    Mokujin is a "random character", meaning that he doesn't actually have a fighting style of his own, but instead he "copies" or "mimics" the fighting styles of the other characters (one per round), thus having their moveset.
    ===== ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / TRIVIA =====
    ---- Mokujin is the first "random character" for the Tekken franchise.
    ---- In Tekken Force mode, he is the only character who does not face Heihachi at the end of Stage 4 (Mishima Fortress). Instead, Mokujin will fight himself at the end of this stage.
    ---- In Tekken Force mode, all of his bosses are Mokujins.
    ---- His ending in the game is the only one that is "live-action".
    ---- His fighting style is called Mokujin-ken, or "Wooden Person Fist".
    ---- His fighting style can also be known as Mimicry.
    ---- On his gameplay model, the kanji "正" is written repeatedly on his back.
    ---- He is based on the movie Shaolin Wooden men, starring Jackie Chan. He even shares a winning pose with Lei Wulong in Tekken Tag Tournament 2, which is likely a reference to the movie.
    ===== ABOUT PS1 TEKKEN 3 =====
    This is one of the best fighting games in the PS1, and it is actually better than the Arcade version due to having a few more hidden characters and having loads of features and extra modes of play. It also features an Arranged soundtrack, with the option of switching to the original Arcade tunes.
    The graphics are slightly inferior to the Arcade version of course, but the extra features more than make up for that. This is likely the best they could have done on the PS1 hardware and it's very close to the Arcade game.

    Hold down prior to a match to gain wooden sound effects when struck. You did pretty well. Except as Lei and Eddy. Very Tekken 2 Lei.

    It's worth noting that Mokujin never copies Ogre, True Ogre, or Gon in this game.

      Thats because Ogre/True Ogre uses an amalgamation of most of the cast moves.
      In Gon's case. His moves are unique only to him. Impossible to mimic.
      Both True Ogre and Gon breathe fire. Something that Mokujin can't do.
