ive been here the same month this video was recorded or a month before. I got there bcz it was out summer break we went there to spend some time with my cousins, they weren't living bad at all, they were the only few ones with an actual house in the area. They were a bit farther from where this video was actually filmed, so they were kinda on the better side of the SLUMS. Still in the slums.This place was an eye opener, changing my whole perspective on life. Made me realize how lucky i actually am. I played on that exact court shown on 0:59, I loved how everybody was still smiling having fun despite their challenges and difficulties in life. Seeing children work, collecting bottles and pick up trash made my heart burn. Seeing people my age (im 15) struggle made me actually appreciate what i have and it just made me thankful for all the opportunities that was given to me.We live in manila and i thought our area was already bad, this place was just sad. Whats more sad is how the government is not doing anything about it, ik it aint that easy but atleast try. Although they were living in these crazy conditions (houses sinking, houses made out of tarpolines and cardboard) they still manage to have fun, and thats a blessing it self.
They are clearly not starving. if the government forced us to clean up the shit after ourselves, we would live in cleanliness. And they are definitely not burdened with work.

Are Filipinos friendly? I mean, what are we supposed to do when we pass by them? I have lots of Southeast Asian friends, and they’re all very friendly. Some of em said we should do little communication even to someone we’ve never met before
No matter the poverty..so mang plastic bags..even man woman and children can grab one and clean up all that garbage..the men are not disciplined..no wood stacked up neat..no excuse..no organisation..of anything..everyone should work togethrt
