In this video we take a look at Alice Gear Aegis CS: Concerto of Simulatrix. I really enjoyed this game, but unfortunately Sony has meddled with the content again on the PS4 and PS5 versions, meaning that only the Nintendo Switch features completely uncut content.

I'm very tired of censorship. Great review as always!
People have been saying that for over a decade now. It's not going away.
Agreed, consoles have parental settings for children, and we have ratings by third parties to tell us for our choice, there is no need for censorship from Sony or Microsoft, totally despise it
I mean, censorship has been going on since 4th gen consoles so I can see why you would be tired at this point
More sickening how anime waifu games get censored but woke trash like tlou2 isnt
Just buy the Japanese version.
The Japanese one is the same as The Switch version, and has everything as-is(except for the pre-order bonus, if you're buying second hand. It doesn't seem like it has an expiry date for it like most Japanese game pre-order bonuses)
It is still strange to me that Sony censors games and Nintendo doesn't. When I was a kid, Sega didn't censor (they do now) and Nintendo did. Even when the PS1 was new, the N64 had the censored version of the game.
It's been decades since the bit wars. I grew up with No More Heroes on Wii and Bayonetta 2 on Wii U
It is weird to me too, but you gotta consider that companies are just nameplates, and the people behind them are constantly changing, for better or worse.
@@RhythmGrizz You missed out...the 90s were great!
@@Twocrudedudes Nintendo is what, 130 years old. Up until Iwata, it was always controlled by the same family. Now it is completely different from the 80s and 90s. I prefer the modern "uncensored" version of Nintendo.
Because sony went full california woke. Notice they censor anime waifus but have no problems releasing trash like tlou2
You should just assume if it's on playstation, it's censored. I think Pqube handled it well. They were upfront about it and did what they could to make sure we got it uncensored on other platforms. Other publishers may have censored all copies to be consistent across platforms. I don't doubt they still have a personal vendetta against sony for canceling omega labyrinth.
I think many of us have a vendetta against PS!
@@xtranathor8143 you should be mad at the US for being uptight hypocrites. This censorship is entirely to lessen controversy in America.
I've been playing the OG mobile game for a couple of years now. It's JP only but no VPN needed and its on PC too and you can get a fan transtalation that makes so you can understand what are you doing! It's PvE only you fight those aliens. Gameplay is basically the same but your speciel abilities depend on the top and bottom gear you equip to the characters and they have multiple ultimates depending the version of the character you have.
I really hope this will make it to steam because I'd like to play it.
Been playing on Switch, fun game but it really suffers from the lack of split screen. Nobody's online and this is the kind of game that'd be way better playing against friends.
Is there a discord community for this game yet for the switch version? I had to find people through discord just to play some God Eater 3 a few months ago.
Yeah, I hate that games like these barely ever offer split screen nowadays... I don't even have friends, but it's still dumb, lol.
I'm glad I got the switch version
Sounds like Zone of the Enders, but just the boss fights. Either way good to see that kind of stuff coming out.
Sony California HQ moment
Goddammit Sony stop with the censorship
Anime girls are too much for PlayStation players to handle.
The beauty! The beautyyyy! 😱😵
I’m glad i moved to pc
Great decision gutsu.
As someone that recently got into plastic models like the 30minute Sisters line,this game really got my attention,i DID got it for the Switch and it is good for what it is,i also should have spent the money in weapons and equipment,but i just end up buying the maid outfits for the girls^^;
another thing i can appreciate about it,is not been fully priced,a brand new copy of the game costs 40 dollars, and i think that's a rather reasonable price for this type of game
This why PlayStation has to move back to Japan HQ was better in Japan laws instead the California that’s why they censored
The cultured man strikes again!
And Soyny is at it again. Seriously, moving their HQ to USA was a mistake. I'll never forgive them for killing Senran Kagura.
By any chance are you a fan of Raging golden eagle?
Well, you have to forgive less when The Last of Us 2 itself comes UNCENSORED
@@DonPingu97 but that's real art 😆
@@sean5038 YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAH, very real
The nintendo switch version features all the uncut content?
Yes
Yes
@@ainbo9022 oh, i see
@@YSN based Nintendo.
@@RhythmGrizz yup
This has potential. Maybe it could be musou, or semi-musou arena (add some mechanical minions and such). I'd prefer the latter just because another full musou clone would be meh. But this is definitely on my wish list. I will probably get this and Gal Gun Double Peace for my May/June games. Still have to finish up more backlog in the meantime.
As for the Sony censorship, not surprised. Leave it to them to censor a rated T game. 🤦♂️ I think it's just spite against this genre which attracts males. And maybe they're jealous too? 🤷♂️
I guess in the end it doesn't matter. Nintendo will be getting my money. 😊
Actually, the original game itself is kind of like what you wanted.
In CS, they held a friendly duel tournament between Actresses as a way to strengthen cooperation. It was easy organize, as the number of Vice(the main enemy in the main game) sightings and alerts have gone down dramatically after a huge nest-destroying operation. That, and they had other Actresses(the main game's roster is HUGE. CS has 22 of the characters playable. That's only a THIRD of the main game's roster, and that's excluding the crossover guests, like the members of the 501st from "Strike Witches", the FA Girls from "Frame Arms Girls", and Kasumi and Marie from "Dead or Alive") on standby for any sightings
The game reminded me a bit of Infinite Stratos. I will check the switch version.
Why is Sony so obsessed with censorship now? to the point where I heard the Senran Kagura x Neptunia game preemptively toned down things before they even started working on it, so like it's not technically censored because they did it before they started working on the game. But Senran Kagura is known for having stuff that wasn't in that game, and Neptunia U already had a clothes breaking mechanic. But they did that to every version of the game, instead of only censoring the Playstation version.
Not everyone has censored it, and that makes it a hypocrite, because at the moment the only one that Sony has not censored is The Last of Us 2 itself.
They moved their HQ to California and act like disney now.
Sony decided it hated anime so i'm not surprised this got censored.
Man Sony are so insecure as of recently.
They moved their HQ from Japan to California. The woke folks there went on a censorship spree.
gotta protect their lead in the industry
@@Twocrudedudes More like hand it over happily to Nintendo.
@@flameshana9 Nintendo is assassinating the competition.
That's what happens when you drink the cult-left koolaid
censored by Sony, what a surprise...
the kind of reason I've kept abstaining from buying a PS5, as tempted as I've been
I'm not even considering a ps5 till they make that skyscraper into a practical size.
@@RhythmGrizz damn, that's also a good point, had forgotten the thing is bulky as hell
Meanwhile, Xbox doesn't approve this type of game at all. Kinda sucks that Nintendo doesn't work with better hardware to get games up to 60 FPS consistently.
@@RhythmGrizz it is not that big, the OG PS3 is almost the same size.
I'll never get another soyny system. I'm done with them.
Sooo...when will all JP devs jump on the PC bandwagon?
Switch makes most money in Japan. I think as many PC devs/releases are already happening in Japan as is realistic.
@@RhythmGrizz Long live the Switch.
Would be awesome if it was available on pc... maybe they release a pc verssion at some point? or maybe it's just not worth it for them.
Gundam Extreme Vs would be this type of game, but with tag team fights.
Battle Royale mode isn't 1vs1, it's 1vsMany. And this game was let into a Virtual On tournament, and the Japanese version had support for the PS4 twinsticks patched in
Nice video!
That's why I don't purchase fan-service games on PlayStation anymore glad too see Pqube was transparent about the censorship and that the Nintendo version is as the developer intended.
Fumikane Shimada is probably the father of modern mecha musume, I think he's work with every model kit company in making mecha musume kits.
Apparently there's already an anime coming out for this as well.
Was a little surprised at first as I only knew about the mobile game, but the console version (Well.. Switch version) looks pretty promising. How long does one character story usually take?
30 minutes to an hour. They're like half-way between an Arcade Mode and a Campaign. That said when you replay them you can take different routes and the difficulty increases, but no change in the actual story.
Switch successor can't come soon enough so devs don't have to bother with playstation anymore.
Switch 2?
@@EnnuiPilgrim yeah, but who knows how they are going to call it since they are Nintendo.
Agreed, fuck sony.
Weird how Nintendo and Sony switched roles on adult content over the years
I actually have that one on switch ! And I love strike witches ! No wonder it feels very familiar with the anime and game ❤❤❤
Looks good!
Great review. Glad the Switch version has everything, Nintendo seem to be a lot better these days with port coming as intended.
What is the game in the middle of the bottom row of games in the intro?
I believe it's one of the senran kagura games haha
@@davebababooey261 Alright, thanks for the response.
Huh... didn't know they made an offline version of my favourite gacha. o:
So they applied another post launch patch. Thats exactly the reason we didnt get Mary Skelter 2 on ps4 for the english release
Thank you for the heads up! Just bought this game for my switch. If Sony doesn't want my money, they won't get it. I have 9 games on my PS5 and about 130 for my switch, and these kinds of decisions by Sony are the reason why.
I hope that it comes to pc soon
Looks like touhou sky arena but without the music system
"Sony Switch", as you said on the description, is the best console for cultured gamers.
Oops. Fixed now.
@@YSN now my commentary was made irrelevant... Except for the part about the switch being the best console for cultured gamers. 🥂
Wish it was on Xbox. Fun game
ryza 3 is censored , this game has a black void under the skirts
is that the PS4/5 version?
@@SoukaDeezNutz yes , but i think it's the same for the switch version
@@zazow6604 I hope not..
Hello, can you make a video of your entire Limited Editions collection?
I’ve been thinking about it
STOP THE CENSORSHIP SONY!!!
It's the playstation version. Of course it's censored. Sony acts like everyone is a child instead of letting them play the game for themselves to judge it.
Even though I wanted to grab this physically on my PS5 I didn't. Picked it up for my Switch, I just can't support rediculous censorship like this. So the Switch version won for me.
Get rid of that trash console, PC and Switch is where it's at.
And this is why I no longer want anything to do with sony. I'm glad nintendo is getting more games like this among other types that aren't censored. Nintendo is now the way to go when it comes to anime style games regardless of genre of said anime style game.
Good review but not getting the Switch Version: 30fps in a high-speed action game isn't the ideal way to play.
I know some people are used to that but I'll take 60fps though. It is a high-speed action game after all.
PC
@@Choom89 it's not on PC right now unfortunately 😞
Props to the devs for at least being up-front about what was censored, so we know which version to buy. It's baffling that Sony STILL thinks this is going to win them any customers.
At the moment, they don't need sweaty nerds like us to keep selling consoles
@@Twocrudedudes True, censorship is just a minor issue to begin with, sane people doesn't care about this stuff, only some vocal minorities weebs are trying to make a mountain out of a molehill.
This might be hard to accept for some but whether the game is succeed or fail it have nothing to do with censorship.
@@staccatto1510 What do you mean by sane people? Are you implying people who care are insane?
Also do you have evidence for your claim that no game has failed because of censorship?
@@sean5038 RE 4 remake also have some censorship with Ashley right? Turn out that game is the biggest launch on the steam, it just as I said, sane people don't care about censorship, they just want to enjoy the game, the one who keep complaining about these thing are indeed insane.
Video game can fail by many reason such as terrible gameplay, technical issues, etc. but censorship will never be one of those reason.
@@staccatto1510 Do you have evidence for your claim Yes or No if not don't make claims you cant substantiate. And who are the sane people who don't care about censorship? I think that if anything those people would be a niche group. I personally would never make the claim that a game has never failed because of censorship because I have no evidence.
Also did I make the claim that a game with censorship cant do well? because I don't know why your bringing up RE4R.
It's really weird and dumb that Sony censors games still (despite basically everyone hating them for it), but Nintendo doesn't... Like Nintendo themselves mostly make very kid friendly games, yet they're okay with their consoles having fanservice games on them. While Sony themselves make more mature games (at least mostly, idk all the Sony games), yet they don't allow a lot of fanservice in games on their consoles... I just finished Stellar Blade yesterday and today I found out that my favorite outfit in the game was originally much better looking, but is censored in the final release (literally the only problem I had with the outfit was originally not a thing, it's very disappointing). It almost makes me happy some people are boycotting the game, even though I did really like the game... But ultimately, I did enjoy it and this is the studio's (Shift Up) first console game, so I still hope it's doing well.
It should also be noted this game is $30 on PS4 so there's that too,I could pay less than that for senran kagura and get characters with stars over thier privates lol
Definitely want to pick up the Switch version. The censorship from Sony is ridiculous. Like who is that even for?
for conservative American parents that buy their children game consoles
@@Twocrudedudes I'm a Christian conservative and I don't know any others who are that prudish over something so trivial.
Imagine buying a game like this and being worried about the content. And then having a sigh of relief that you won't see as much skin on the character's back.
It's disney cult-left trash
"Sensored on playstation"
I still can't believe this statement exist
aw... no PC @_@
censorship in games is straight up tiresome and unwanted 😒
California and disney are to blame, as well as their corrupt political ties.
I will stop supporting jrpg on Sony if they keep censoring games. I'll go all out with Nintendo Switch
Sony usa being Sony usa.
This game looks interesting, but of course Sony had to fuck it up
This is reminding me of the flying gear they use in Date A Live! Pretty cool!
The censorship is the reason I stopped buying PlayStation games; I'll only get some exclusive games, and otherwise it's all Switch, Xbox and PC.
Xbox censors games too. They even blocked the re-release of Gal Gun Returns, even though the original was on X360.
@@Twocrudedudes I'd forgotten about that! Pretty poor on their part too. PS does it more often, so I'll still favour Xbox over PS, but I prefer PC and Switch over them both if the Switch can handle it.
@@Twocrudedudes How many Gal Gun games are there altogether? Cause Return, Double Peace and 2 are all on Switch.
the heck? PS vers was censored? Usually they'd take out the censorship or go without it in sony consoles and switch censors to be 'family friendly'....damn......
Some real Azur Lane vibes in there
Funny how it isn't censored on Nintendo which is known as a child friendly low budget gaming company but Sony decides to censor it and they're known for more mature content. Censorship is wrong no matter what. Looks like an interesting anime loli schoolgirl mech combat game. I'm not a huge supporter of cgi looking cell shading. It's implemented to make games look more like animation but to be honest cell shading looks less like animation than normal game shading. I really dislike it for aesthetic reasons.
Combat was great unfortunately there's not much into it.
It's actually somehow a better combat gameplay than some of gundam games. Lel
considering it is only 1 outfit that is missing which doesn't even look good, while back is back. not that big of a deal. sony are weird to alter bare backs, but again it is minimal unlike some other games.
I'm done with sony, not supporting them trying to become disney.
Friend, just like you I think there is a bad thing about this title, and that is that the PlayStation versions are CENSORED, and of course then you see that Sony co-censors this type of game, but then you see that games like The Last of Us 2 come to you UNCENSORED...
I wish they would release these games on Xbox too so I could get the best and uncensored version.
I don’t get Sony ,, u have full nudity in Cyberpunk but games like this get censored
Americans (Californians specifically 🤮) doing their thing...
The Nintendo Switch is for grown ups now, with more HAWT girl backs.
Gets boring…
This is one of the few times I couldn't care less about the censorship of a game. Not cause I support it but cause the game in question looks mid as hell.
Guys just buy one of the Senran Kagura games if you want a fun fan service anime game.
It’s true I don’t even bother with new hack n slash anime games Samurai Maiden was slow and boring, Senran Kagura was actually good it’s mindless with little thought but it’s fun.
If the girl characters look underage, that's why they're getting a bit more covered up. You all know this by now.
The curse of having an anime art style I guess. Unless you make it look like JoJo or something.
@@sean5038 true

Kinda dumb on Sony's part, but people need to chill on the hyperbole. The changes* are unwelcome, but don't make the game unplayable.
Also, Aegis is pronouned "ee-jis"
Give an inch, take a mile. No tolerance.
Thx god i have Yuzu.
This is good no this Really good. well done PQube for doing what other Devs should do make two copies and follow up with a tweet talking about the changes before the game drops. Then rather found out about censorship in a game that we bought.
It shows PQube knows how to treat the consumers base. the excuse of others Devs saying it cost money and time to make one censored and other one uncensored is utter BS as PQube show them. 😊
KT did something better with Dead Or Alive 6. they censored the game on PlayStation, and a week later or less they uncensored it with a Patch/dlc. something to doing with letting the game be accepted physically at stores.
@@Katsudon96 I didn’t know that that very good from Koei temco to do that.
