- It's amazing what can happen in a short time, and this channel's start/growth is a great example. You guys have been such great supporters and I want to bring an even better level of content to the channel this year. This video will break down where it all started, what brought us to today and what you can expect in the future with this channel.
I am excited to bring you another level of content and background experiences that this channel was lacking last year. You will still get the boating tips, yacht captain, and yacht tour videos you're used to. New this year will be videos on yacht detailing, yacht sales and much more! What's hap'n Cap'n!! Just an fyi to all those reading this, I've had the pleasure of meeting with Dan. I am in the market to buy a decent sized boat and because of his videos I've chosen Dan to help me through the process. I can't say enough about what a helpful and patient guide he has been as my wife and I navigate the process. We are buying a used one this summer while we order and wait for our new boat to be built. I’d love to see some videos on handling a vessel in open water. At what angle to hit decent sized swells, how to handle a following sea, what to do if you’re stuffing the bow, how to stay calm if you find yourself in expected conditions, etc.

Its not odd or strange that a yacht channel is slow in the winter when there is ice where you usually sail. So no worries.
One thing you could do is save some fotage for the winter season. Meaning filming alot this summer but saving some of it for november-march.
That is absolutely what I’d like to do. I’ve got to be more deliberate at taking a second and thinking about busting out the camera more before simply jumping into the task and knocking it out. Thank you for sharing your input and suggestions. I really appreciate it! Cheers!
Question for you. If you have Dynamic Positioning, Skyhook, Proportional Thrusters, etc., what's the largest size of yacht a competent skipper can reliably operate short (single) handed? Would you solo trip an 80 foot yacht for example?
