Hey everyone! If you want a more detailed video on the MPC ONE. I have a master class available here: 6teenlevels.com/products/mpc-one-masterclass GET 30% OFF ORDERS $60 & ABOVE USE THE CODE: 6TEENLEVELS (excludes bundle deals)
Yo I am Green as hell to beat making. I love listen to music and beats and I want to try and make them at my old age😂. I literally just bought the mpc 1 retro and I’m waiting for it to come. I bought it after listening to your review on the mpc retro. Man I have like a gazillion questions to ask you. Do you have an IG so I can ask you a few questions on how to start this? I also just bought FL studio. Will it work in there? How do you hear music from this? Is there speakers connected
It took me TWO DAYS to watch this video. I would watch it... pause it... try to do what you did... start watching again... PAUSE IT... two days of that. I got my MPC One two days ago. Now I can safely say I understand everything you mentioned in this video. So big-ups for THAT. And congrats on the 2.3k likes... That's a LOT of likes! :D
well thanks for watching!
What do you think of it? I'm trying to buy one myself cause I'm trying to get into producing and how much did you pay for it? I've been seeing them for about $799
@@roshaungoolsby4554 Yeah the price has been going UP. I got mine for 699. Anyway... I absolutely LOVE IT. I think the things that it has over the Live and Live II (extra buttons, smaller form factor) outweigh the lack of internal HD and wifi/bluetooth. I was looking for something to accompany my Novation Circuit. Well this has pretty much REPLACED my Novation Circuit. And it ALMOST replaced Ableton. I was getting ready to sell my Push 2 before I realized what a pain mixing and mastering are on any MPC. Don't get me wrong: You can create an entire song effortlessly on the MPC One. Faster and easier than you could probably make a song anywhere else. And I mean even a COMPLICATED song. But then when it comes to doing things like fading in and out an really working with that completed song and making it "Radio Ready"... You'll still need to whip out the laptop. Or maybe I just haven't figured out a way to do that on the One yet. Suffice to say... I wish I'd had something like this YEARS ago.
yes I did the same thing... coming from the mpc studio the lay out is very different.
Its actually the only F tut I can understand on CZcams. So many F retards with F fancy editing and s...t but you can't understand s...t also.
for anyone wondering/// this is the best tutorial for the mpc one currently on youtube
I’ve watched this video 20 times. It’s like sport center no matter how many times I watch it I see something I missed
Can you check out my recent beat I uploaded on my channel and tell me what you think. I appreciate it
you literally just broke down the wall between me and this thing in 30 mins. appreciate you !!!!
Thank you for being so precise, I'm 66 yrs and I need it nice and steady so it goes in my brain. Had the machine 2 days started printing the manual only done 100 pages and the new inks have nearly gone, 290 pages left, I don't think I can afford that, so this is brilliant. I have subscribed, thanks again.
I bought my MPC One a couple weeks ago. I'm totally new to beat making with a legit sampler. Other tutorials have been overly technical and use lingo I don't understand. You break this down simply and easily. I really appreciate your teaching style. Thanks much.
How are you finding your Mpc one?
@@swishyfish325 he probably just looks in the last place he remembers leaving it ;)
@@ToRFlow underrated joke my friend
With his eyes.
You're a Great Teacher My Friend... Thank You!!!
my pleasure
I agree, some people can communicate info such that others get it. Ave has that talent for sure
I just got the MPC One, I really like your style and your ability to communicate info so it's very clear and simple to understand. Thanks
By far the best tutorial I've seen on here. You've helped an ancient MPC user quickly and simply catch up with the new technology!
I got mine a few days ago, and one of the things I have noticed, about MPC instructional videos, is that,
depending on how old they are, they represent some information, that is no longer correct, as of the latest firmware/operating system updates.
Where I notice this most, is that because they changed where to find some things.
Many items, are no longer stored on the local drive, and are instead, stored on external drive/memory card slot.
What I need before I even make my first beat, is to figure that out, and get some pointers, on how best to organize files, folders, plugins, on my SD card.
And how the file system works, as of the latest software update.
Thanks for the great instructions, best wishes for your continued success.
I always wanted to make beats and finally got my self a mpc and I had no clue how to use it until I ran into this video. Thank you X100000 🙏🙌😁
This is a great video to get right into the MPC One. I've seen many videos and spun my wheels trying to grasp the concept, but this tutorial really nails it. The sky's the limit, but this is a great way to jump off!
I just wanna say thank you man! I got an mpc one with no music experience but you video made this easy to learn! Been having a lot of fun playing around with this thing!
I’m currently hyping my self up to buy an mpc one but I was afraid it was gonna be to advanced for me but after seeing this I’m getting one today 💯 thank you
This Thursday is my first payday at my new job, and I'm about to buy my first MPC. I've been watching a few videos by different guys today that were very helpful and i'm just like cool, lots of info on how to make music, just gotta translate it to my genre. But i just stumbled on this video and as soon as it started playing and he started talking, i was like "that's the guy! That's the guy i'm looking for!"
This is after searching for literally a couple of years now trying to find ONE beat-making tutorial on how people made hip hop before 2016-17. Can't really express how happy i feel, but Mr Ave Mcree, you have a new follower
Dude! You are the first cat to explain this thoroughly without goofy ass jokes, a dry personality, or an accent that makes me lose focus on the lesson. I’m getting it now! 2nd time watching until the end! Thank you so much! I subscribed!
Just got mine today, and this was a great jump-off place for getting into it without reading the manual for a few hours. This thing is obviously deeper than I even thought it was, and I did research going into it. DAW in a box, basically, which is impressive for $700 and with the build quality it boasts. Ironically, I got mine just so I'd have *some* sort of percussion while playing with my Roland System 8, because every time I have it out, I wish I had some percussion to work against. I think it may become more than that, despite me having four full DAWs. Same with my basses and guitars...should be an awesome, "I don't have to mess with a mouse," type of tool...but with the ability to go as deep as I want. Thanks for the video!
Man, thank you for making these tutorials. So many other “tutorials” I’ve watched skip so many important steps that they’re not helping MPC One users at all.
I really appreciate you taking the time to teach a lot of MPC owners.

Just got this baby girl in the mail today and I never would have made it out of the parking lot without this video. THANK YOU Brother!
You are a REAL dude for many of your videos but this is above and beyond brother. This will come in really handy for those making the switch from DAWs like fl, logic and so forth
in the past , i had fl studio, but when i bought the mpc 500. i wasreally feeling the beat.. instant touch to your drums.no latency and a groove man
I appreciate u sticking with the mpc vids!!! Keeps me inspired bro!
lol I'm not going no where. The MPC is how I started and it will be how I finish.
Have you ever tried Fl studio
@@JaySain69 have you ever tried Renoise? 💩
Clark Flavor they sure don’t reply back do they, I was wanting to know if the 2 were compatible
Jay Sain69 you can use mpc studio as an plugin inside logic pro x im pretty sure u can do the same with fl studio
This is the best video I’ve found so far explaining how to load up sounds into the different tracks of a sequence and start recording stuff… Everyone else seems to get side tracked trying to deep dive explaining every little thing you can possibly edit in every mode on every screen.
I tried watching a lot of videos trying to learn but you definitely broke it down step by step and you showed the Mpc the whole time ,Thank you very much!!!!!! now I know a whole lot more
This is great, clear, concise, yet in depth. Much appreciated :)
I’ve had the MPC One now for a week and I was glad to hear at the the end of your video that the fact I was beating my head against a wall starting out wasn’t uncommon. Thanks for your video you taught more in 30 minutes than I had learnt in a week on my own.
I bought the akai live 2. Ended up watching this video as a tutorial cos the other tutorials make no sense. Thanks for making things understandable for complete beginners.
Great tutorial man, definitely appreciate you taking the time to walk through the process.
Great tutorial! Got 2 beats already going strong. This machine is amazing. Thank you!
First video I’ve watched on these things where I felt like I could actually make music I’d want to listen to. Thank you for that!
Made my first beat in MPC ONE because of this video! Thanks for the breakdown!!!
I'm a new subscriber and want to thank you and my homes who pointed me in your direction for teaching me
I can not thank you enough! I have an mpc and I haven't really dived into it yet. I was hoping to go through the manual and read and learn as I go but I like to play with stuff and do it myself but this tutorial gave me a crash course of all the basics and it saves me some time on reading! I am a busy man these days and I just want to create I definitely will dive into your videos if you have more.
Fantastic guide, pace was just right, all the essential knowledge in there. Nice one!
Thank you SO MUCH for these videos!!🙏🙏
As a complete noob with ALL hardware, the MPC ONE in particular, you have made it VERY accessible and understandable that its almost INTUITIVE to me!
Not only do you explain HOW to do things, you EXPLAIN WHY you do them the way that YOU DO and, conversely, why not SOME OTHER way.
Again, THANK YOU and KEEP MAKING THESE!!!
Great video, I’m looking to pick one up for Christmas. I’ll be tuning into all of your mpc one tutorials.
Best tutorial I've seen thus far. The translation was superb from familiar terms like quantize to time correction. The overdub feature discussed was an important one. Thanks my G!
This is most excellent. Very well done. A must for anyone new to the MPC One. This should come in the box!
just dropped on a new MPC one, glad to be part of this journey, lez make beeeeeeettsss
