Hello .. just wanted to say this is the most authentic karkala GSB recipe for muga usli . I remember my grandma preparing this exact same way when I was a small kid. Most gsb recipes on CZcams are not very authentic being influenced by neighbours, state they live in etc . You have videos where the recipes are exactly as I have seen them prepared at my home decades ago by elders.

rough measurement or ratio of water to moong dal ?
It is hard to give exact ratio. It all depends on quality of moong dal. Here is a rough ratio, for 1 cup of moong dal you add 1.5 cups water.

I prepared it yesterday, i put in water approximately and it worked out perfectly well. Id suggest putting in hot water instead of normal room temp water. More efficient and doesn’t make the dal taste soggy and here in Boston the water gets too darn cold so better off heating and adding
