    I have connecting flight Dubai to bom to coimbatore with same Pnr both are in T2. Is it 2 hrs layover time is enough to collect luggage and immigration?

      Its tight but doable,as booked on same PNR get in touch with airline staff at Bombay as its very much their responsibility to get you the connection.
      If possible try to get seats in front row and disembark early from Aircraft and be fast to reach immigration.
      Best of Luck.

      Mumbai mai collect karna hoga immigration ke baad.
      when arriving from International its mandatory to collect baggage after immigration and go through custom and recheck for domestic flight even when booked on same PNR.

    I have a 2 way flight. germany -> mumbai airport t2 -> sri lanka with 4h transfer and back: sri lanka -> mumbai airport t2 -> germany (with 17h transfer over night). i need to reclaim my luggage. Do i need to exit the transit zone for this (so do i need a visa?)? i want to stay the night in the transit hotel?
    Thank you

      @travelwithmatloo  Před 2 měsíci

      Can you share your itinerary?
      You want to retain your baggage for return phase to rest at transit hotel?
      If its booked on same PNR (most probably you booked vistara) then baggage would be booked to Frankfurt. If you want to collect then you need to tell this to check in executive at Colombo and also you need visa to exit the transit zone and collect baggage.
      If you are doing so then you can also use same Niranta transit hotel situated land side or any hotel nearby the airport.

    • @travelwithmatloo

      Yes you can but keep in mind that you don’t have much buffer time so don’t spend much time outside (though I suggest to avoid going out).
      Considering booked on same PNR your check in formality would bring done at Chennai,will get both boarding pass at Chennai,at Bombay baggage would be transfer by airline and you have to ho through security and immigration. Sometimes long queue at security and immigration which can be a hassle so better to save time avoiding going out.
      Still if you exit don’t spend much time,re enter as soon as possible.
      Also you can’t re enter from exit gate,have to take elevator to departure level and then enter the departure area.

    I have delhi to dubai flight via mumbai - Single PNR pls answer my questions,
    1. Muje 00:24 second par show ho raha transfer use karna hai ? layover is 4 hours.?
    2. domestic arrival to international arrival ke liye 00:56 second par left dikhaya or aap right gae from smoking lounge which I believe was for domestic transfer?
    Ya fir jo last mai apne dikhaya where you said the departure area is same for international or domestic, waha se jau ya pehle hi left ho jau

    • @travelwithmatloo
      @travelwithmatloo  Před 3 měsíci +1

      24 sec Wala domestic to domestic transfer hai,wo nahi use karna,waha se jane hi nahi denge kyoki wo direct domestic departure gate ke paas khulta.
      Actually 56 seconds left mai kuch nahi hai,pata nahi kyo left dikhaya,international transfer (plus domestic transfer on separate PNR ) ke liye baggage area paar kar ke arrival hall jana aur elevator/escalator lena hai jo maine liya,departure check in area common hai.
      Ek baat aur dhyan dena ki T2 mai 2 baggage area hai domestic ka aur uske bich mai international baggage area hai,depending upon flight parking dusare wale baggage area wale se bhi entry ho sakti fir sab kuch opposite ho jaega,par kisi bhi condition mai aapko baggage area paar karka uske baad left ya right elevator/escalator hoga arrival hall mai jo departure tak jaega.
      Exit mat kijiega nahi to bina matlab ka 15/20 min extra lag jaega entry karne mai.
      4 hr sufficient time hai aram se transit kar sakte.

    Is this layover time is sufficient to catch connecting flight with baggage 20kg ?

    • @travelwithmatloo
      @travelwithmatloo  Před měsícem

      Its too tight. It can easily take 60 min to go through immigration,get baggage and clear custom and check in for domestic closes 60 min before departure so you have just 90 min to do all arrival formality and reach check in counter for domestic.
      You need to be fast ,try to get front seat in flight to Mumbai,disembark as early as possible and run fast towards immigration. After coming out to arrival hall after custom take elevator to departure level,in any case don’t exit the terminal otherwise that can easily waste 10-15 min to re enter terminal at departure level.
      Once check in done another run to departure gate through security,gate closes 25 min before departure so have to be fast.
      One positive point is that after noon is mot so busy for international arrivals.
      Normally all domestic airline have 15 kg check in baggage? Which airline you are flying? If its 15 kg then you need to buy extra baggage.

      Process you need to follow at T2
      Disembark
      Immigration
      Collect baggage
      Custom
      Take elevator to Departure
      Check in baggage
      Security
      Boarding
      When arriving from international have to collect baggage even on same PNR.
      After custom there are baggage transfers desk of AirIndia/Vistara ,you can check whether its operating or not,if operating can check in baggage there and proceed to departure,if not then proceed to departure and check in at airline counter.
      Both domestic and international departure have common check in area and security,after security its divided between domestic and international.

    Can you share approximately how long this T2 to T2 Domestic Flight + Baggage Collect and Re-checkin approximately take for you? Also - the re-checkin of collected bags is an easy process? (Basically looking to land into BOM Terminal 2 with seperate PNR connection for T2 yet again - so will need to collect bags and recheck in) - was to understand if 75 minutes is good for this

    • @travelwithmatloo
      @travelwithmatloo  Před 2 měsíci

      Yes 75 min is sufficient if everything remains ideal.
      There are 3 parts, 1st aircraft to baggage,2nd wait for baggage and 3rd transfer to departure area and check in.
      It can easily take 10-20 min to reach baggage area depending upon arrival aerobridge or parking bay.
      Baggage experience at T2 is good.Most of the time when you reach the area baggage already started to arrive at belt so 10 min is good and then just 2-3 min to departure floor and then search for your airline check in counter.
      Do keep in mind that check in for domestic closes 60 min before departure so hope this 75 min is extra of 60 min .

      Just to clear confusion,does 100 min is gap between your arrival and departure time?
      Check in counter closes 60 min before departure so if you have baggage to check in you should be at counter before that.
      If its 100 min then practically you have only 40 min to do check in and that would be tight,you need to be fast and hope your baggage is among the first to arrive.

      Both booked on same PNR or different?
      In any case you need to transfer by self.
      If both booked on same PNR then will get both boarding pass at Ahmedabad,at Mumbai after disembarking go to basement from arrival hall ant take shuttle bus,can take 15-20 min to reach boarding point,upto 10 -15 min wait for bus to start and another 15-25 min to reach T1 and then security. Getting cab is easier and faster and hassle free option.Can book prepaid cab from booking counter at arrival hall,
      If both booked separately but with only cabin baggage then same process,don’t forget to do web check in in advance.
      If you are new to Mumbai T2 or not comfortable then avoid shuttle bus and take cab.
      In any condition you need to be quick.
      Also you can’t re enter from exit,have to take elevator to departure level and enter from arrivals.
