5 Minecraft Castle ideas. You've heard of Minecraft. You've heard of Castles. You've heard of Ideas. But never before has someone been brave enough to put all 3 together. Today, I go where few CZcamsrs have been before, and I'm making 5 Minecraft Castle Ideas. Hopefully, they can inspire you in your own projects. The map with all the castles can be downloaded from the planetminecraft link below.

No way did I just click on this video and randomly get mentioned at 4:26 🤣 that's Epic, nice builds dude!
qus up
Hey there, hope that you are doing good (:
No way, the legend himself is here. How’s it going bro
What's up bro?
thanks! i figured if i’m gonna do an orc build, i gotta at least mention the only other creator to do one lol
As a Japanese person, it looks like you got Japanese and Chinese architecture confused. They are similar but also very different. Our castles are almost always black and white, but sometimes our temples are more colorful, whereas Chinese castles can be quite loud.
As a Chinese I second this. The castle he built definitely looks more Chinese than Japanese
1. Main critique of your first castle is that you wouldn't put your main keep on the easy to reach section.
This is because castles work with the concept of redundancy. When one set of defenses fail, you have another to fall back on. Ideally those defenses are good against people from outside, but bad against people from inside. With your castle the main keep is easy to assault, so you would end up giving your assailants a big keep to camp in while sieging you.
Really appreciate that you consider the survival aspects, I constantly find unfriendly builds while looking for inspiration but yours are perfect
yeah i don’t usually consider survival in my builds but for a video like this it seemed important
@@GeetBuilds what is the texture pack and shaders used in the video? it looks amazing
@@jbugg9436 no texture pack, photon shaders
I think the red accents are so popular in depictions of Japanese castles is because it is actually relatively common in Chinese architecture, which is relatively similar to Japanese style, to the point where the two seem to have mixed in (Western) popular culture. In real life, the two styles influenced each other a lot of course.
I totally agree the orc style building is not practiced much by content creators, so it was cool to see it. Love that color palette too!
yeah very fun style
So survival friendly is a word thrown around a lot, but really it varies person to person. Anyone that has enough patience can build anything in survival
I see "not for survival" and I think "just watch me". The challenge of making something massive and difficult in survival, and especially in hardcore, is what captures my interest the most
I tried almost every one in survival, failed miserably at the dwarf style because i just got sick of mining tons of stone to make the underground fortress. What really inspired me was the Orc fortress, mostly because it's mesa friendly and I am in love with the mesa biome. Will try it out!
yeah dwarven just has too much going on for survival imo. good luck with your build!
I swear this is the greatest thumbnail on youtube, I click on it everytime I see it
I would love to see an even bigger version of the first design.
Was more of a big wall than a full on castel, but maybe i'm just spoiled by all the exeptional minecraft content
yeah a lot more could be added to it, but it was already pretty big and seemed outside the scope of this video to keep adding on to it.
I was going to mention the terrain looks nothing like I get in my survival world, but then read the comments. Such an impressive backdrop to add to your quality builds.
Honestly, my favorite build was the first one, the valley castle. I would so so love to see a castle like this again on your channel, SO DON'T PONDER about making something unique, make something you enjoy! Castles and stone structures from real life have more of a charm because they contain complex and simple ratios that are aesthetically pleasing, and that's what sold it for me with this build. You just got a free subscrible from me!
I thought the generic castle was really pleasing, it’s so simple but it looks great, def a cool survival base
what's really outstanding about all the castles you did but especially the valley and the japanese castle, is that you have such a good understanding about the architecture. you mentioned really reading up on japanese castle architecture before tackling it but you can also tell you've done the same with european castle architecture even if it's a bit atypical
seeing a timelapse of 5 different castles WAS fun, thank you! i enjoy that you talk about your process in a way that details WHY you are doing what youre doing and Also why its important to your vision :] and that its not always applicable to everyones playstyle! its a small thing but i do enjoy seeing the consideration!
All of these are phenomenal. You really should be proud of these accomplishments. Both the castles and the terrain.
thanks! terrains always my favorite part, glad you liked it
I randomly came across this video and I want to say this is has been the most inspiring and useful video I’ve ever seen, I love making castles in Minecraft but I never know how to go about it, I start with the walls but it just ends up looking boring or flat, so this gives me a really good idea of how I should tackle that, than you got the content
Seeing a timelapse of five different castles was fun and that’s all I needed
I think its because when people build Japanese Castles they get a bit of inspiration from Chinese builds.
Japanese builds feel like their more Chinese than Japanese.
This is awesome. Got really inspired after watching your builds.
needed this video, thanks
My personal favorites in terms of styles would probably be the japanese and the dwarven one, since I'm a huge fan of japanese architecture, as well as a huge Lotr and Hobbit fan, which basically made me a huge dwarven fan since I was young. In terms of actual looks of the buildings you've made in this video, I actually like the valley castle the most. Although I personally would make some adjustments to it to fit my personal style, I absolutely love the idea and the way the mountains in the background make it stand out. As you've said, on a flat terrain it would probably look a lot worse but I really love the way it fits into the landscape and could imagine it being surrounded by lots of forests and farmland, like a small estate lord having his castle near the river to oversee all the farming activies and the trade.
All in all, great video as always and I hope you'll get rid of that creative block and find a awesome project to pour your heart and soul into again!
thank you! yeah the valley castle was fun to make, and you could definitely do a similar style that doesn’t span a valley, but you would just have to change a ton of things about the style to make it fit. it would be way too tall as it is now, which means a lot of the proportions would need to be adjusted.
I was looking for ideas for a new castle, but castle 1 is great!!! I'm definitely going to base my castle on that!!!
Now we need an epic medieval fight between the castles with different factions in them!
so good. great work
Absolute props for giving shout outs here.
#4 was by far the coolest imo ❤
I like your approach to making builds more survival friendly. It's good to have someone say It's okay to leave out this or that to make the building process easier. It validates a simpler approach which I feel was lost as building became as advanced as it is now. You do not always need the biggest or most detailed build.
Wow!!! You did so much work for the video!
The survival castle is still very big and uses blocks that won't be easy to find in the early game. Deepslate takes lots of time to find and mine deep underground. I have never found dead coral and forgot it was a thing before watching this video. The scale and materials would make this closer to a later game or creative build.
The Japanese castle was my favourite, however. The oxidized copper for the green roofs was a genius move. 🏯
The image of the video took me there, and I absolutely have no regrets.
These are absolutely incredible
This is a great video. You deserve a lot more attention.
I'd love to see you do a Dark Souls style medieval castle. I was working on one where every new wall layer's platform extended backwards untill it reached the next wall layer, and I think it honestly looked amazing. I'd be intrested to see another person's thoughts on building like that
That thumbnail got me dude, well played.
I'd love to see your take on connecting fortifications/castles to outposts via tunnels - maybe with some WW2 inspiration.
if you're feeling too much creative block it may be a good idea to take a good long break, we will totally understand you wanting to do that
Ameazing video l really like all the castles and if possible can you do some world painter videos too
thanks! didn’t seem like there was a ton of interest in them but i might put something like that up on patreon
Something I can refined for creative block is to look for inspiration from an unexpected source. Look at images from an old video game or comic book. Watch an old show. The most unexpected sources usually give me the best inspiration. I used to play a game called dragonfable, and found lots of inspiration for a dnd campaign. I used cover art from the chronicles of narnia as inspiration for a Minecraft build in creative, and I used a castle from Thomas and friends as inspiration for a survival world
For the underground dwarven build, check out the Minecraft Middle Earth project. The Moria is awesome (and very big) !! Very rich, detailed, it feels actual and solemn at the same time !
This is such a good video
I love the dwarf one even though you put netherite in the first gate
Chees for christmas so good
When i see all these pc builds i always envy the time saving tools like copy paiste and terrain building that us console players dont have acces too at that extent
4:55 omg i would love if Minecraft
terrain generation looked like that
I think I’ll probably borrow a lot of ideas from each different style, combined with how I typically build my fortresses
These builds are a certified hood classic, they will help me get very rizzy and get lots of gyatt. Thank you Mr sigma for helping me find new content for my edge playlist 🥰🥰🥰
I am deeply sorry for writing this
This is a really good video
OMG my dream map. i tried to make my own using worldpainter for months already but srsly I'm so bad at it and ended up remake everything over and over again bcos I'm not happy with the result. thanks for the amazing video and incredible map!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
yeah of course! if you want to use the map for your own build, i’ve got a version without builds up for download on my patreon
Beauties, beauties,beauties! Magic!
LETS GOOO ANOTHER GEET UPLOAD
glad you’re here for it
I don't want the terrain, I NEED IT, it's just too beautiful
Great video btw
Can you start an Orc fortress inspired map? Doesn't have to be all Orc style but I like the theme of it, hastily cobbled together. Really good job. 👍👍👍
yeah it’s definitely something i want to do in the future
I'm not an expert on chinese or japanese castles but the colour scheme definitely comes out more as chinese than japanese
Geek builds i really enjoy your videos
This dude makes me want to get a fool terrain mod/cool seed and build a castle lol
10:40 The red probably wore off, like how the majority of medieval stone castles were white, but the white’s worn off. And how marble statues of Rome and Greece, and marble buildings, were once painted.
worst comment is getting pinned, be careful
"Worst comment gets pinned" proceeds to pin own comment 😂
Nice Build
Hii
You played yourself
thanks!
I was actually insane enough to make a dwarven build in a survival server - solo. Oh, and it was BEFORE the Caves n Cliffs update...I used a few beacons under a large mountain range to clear out under it from basically lvl 10 or so, up to the ceiling which was around 150 or so. Started up high and formed the ceiling into random rockiness, with some stalactite areas hanging down, and working down in sections to make a formed cavern of my own.
Huge gap with a bridge in the middle, that split at one end and went down into 2 separate "cities" built into the wall about 40 blocks up from base. With smaller bridges at that level to connect the cities on their level. Obove ground, on the other side of the bridge that went up into an entrance hall with large guarding statues and storage room, it went out into a small Walled section kinda like you had here, with a large entrance and tall walls and redstone doors, probably like 20 blocks high. Wasn't quite as big and detailed as that last design, but was pretty neat for survival. Never finished before the server died out and got lost
I have such a hard time with building castles and I dont even know why but building a dwarven gate is pretty easy just very time consuming because you have to dig a LOT.
epic
great video, It would be cool if you subtitled the videos where you speak, the translated languages could be Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, etc...
Very nice builds, I'm honestly impressed. The world is absolutely beautiful as well. Could you provide a download link?
yeah the map with builds is on planetminecraft, and the one without builds is on patreon. links to both are in the description
Your castle is very beautiful. I wonder what kind of shaders you have, they are very similar to the real world 😂
You have the skills. I'd love to see you try something different, like sci-fi (star wars etc.)
I like building my castles with functional crenellations and machicolations with arrow slots in the towers
Can you show us how to make those gradients using world edit?
hey, how about a part 2, where you furnish the whole castles? :)
im building a japanese castle in survival (by BlueBits guide) and did some pagodas, i totally agree with you - this is very uncomfortable to build in survuival. But it is really looking unique
im gonna do a bloody orc castle, i was alr looking for something to do in the badlands biome
please make Old Town castle in middle of city ideas
Dude please please please. Do a gaea quadspinner tutorial for minecraft, that is hands down no exaggeration the best terrarin I have ever seen and its something I desperately want to achieve!
Would be cool to see white marble being used as the Romans used marble and the greeks.
Custom map or did you build it yourself ? Cause it’s really cool
are these the photon shaders? great video btw! keep it up!
thanks! yeah i’m using photon in this
kool
how did you make these mountains with the steps? also the contrast of stone and snow would interest me
i used gaea quadspinner to do the terrain
How do you find a fitting bould style for a beginner, the things I got where way to abstract for me to begin or work with, and if I ask how to get inspired I get 'use google or pinster' It is nearly impossible for me to bould beyond a block by block guide and using a difrent colour pallet or making it 16 long insteaf of 18 long
The thumbnail convinced me to stop in the middle of a song to watch this
Nice
thanks!
I can feel the castles coming inside me 😩
Ily geet
ily2
your game looks really cool. what mods are you using?
i love the design of the first one. also i would like to know where i can download the map without the builds for my new survival world
thank you! the map without builds is on patreon. but it’s not survival optimized
@@GeetBuilds thank you for the quick answer. Than i think i rather look for another map because i dont have that much money to get patreon for just a map
What resource pack are you using? I'm loving the water for the Japanese build
no resource pack, but i used photon shaders for this video
Can you make a tutorial what are you using and how, to make these INCREDIBLE Wolrds?
wich shader are you using?
Is there a worldpainter tutorial for mountains like that?
so heartbreaking to hear that the first one is ''simple'' and ''easy'' when i usually build castles with 3 different blocks 😂
I would defenetly like a tutorial of this map in world painter.
I am curently making my own map for survival with the boys but my budy told me to make the map 10000 by 10000 blocks big, so it's kind of a mammoth task. Though i am struggling to make it diverse and get World Painter to behave as I'd like it to.
The style and details of this map are defenetly what I'd like to go with, but i have no idea how to achieve this. Just a quick tutorial on how to make those rivers, snow in between the mountain ridges and steps on the mountansides would help me so much.
At the verry least I'd like to know what brushes you used for the terrain. That would already make my day and save my map from misery. :D
i have some brushes on my patreon that i’ve made in gaea, they have terraces like the ones in this map. but this map was actually made entirely in gaea, with snowfall simulated in gaea, which is why it looks so precise and natural. it’s hard to get snow as accurate as this when just using worldpainter.
ah. nice builts
thanks!
Yeah i've too had a orcish project, everything was fine until i opened in minecraft the world i just did in worldpainter and tried to do some test builds then get to pmc to find some more inspiration and just realized nobody had build a single orcish map in like the past 10 years and well long story short i did find some interesting ideas but definitely not enough to do on a large scale project and just gave up now it's on my to do list for like 1y or so...
anyways very soothing video
it’s really surprising too, i thought there would be a lot more fantasy builds out there, but even more popular fantasy styles like dwarven and elven are pretty rare in minecraft. basically no one has done anything in an orcish style. good luck with your own project!
@@GeetBuilds Thx !
Mangrove swamps are really hard to find.
What mods do you use? I like the Look of your minecraft
what tools/mods did you use to make such big builds? really would like to know:DDD
what mods did you use for this one?
What shaders do u use?
imagine building the entire city inspired by empire style buildings from warhammer fantasy
Can you make a castle with a huge tower and is so big it covers most of the map?
where can i find a terraformed map like that full nature
