He did mistake in the past, but now he's a white hat hacker who finds vulnerability in big industries system and fixes them. Without people like him you can suck ass with your personal informations leaked online
Yes we need them but in the ethical hacking side, so this exploits can't be used by black hats

It's only gotten worse, perfect is example is companies like jagex,riot,ect hiring the guys who make cheats for their game.
And how the new hires immediately abuse that position to sell in game gold or monetize another way.
