    Hi Ian! Just tried this voice workout for the first time and I got to tell you that I like how high you took the notes, as I am working on extending my range. So this short but good exercise came in good hand. 😊

    Anyone running out of breath with the lip trills, here's a tip: squish your cheeks right on your jaw with your hands - this is allows you use the same breath for a longer duration

    • @dylanschweitzer18
      @dylanschweitzer18 Před 6 lety +15

      You don't want to whisper or belt, should be comfortable in the middle. That being said it depends on how your voice is feeling, I warm up my voice much more carefully at 8am compared to lets say after lunch (2pm) because oh how much ive used my voice that day.
      so listen to your body and when in doubt just be gentle, hope that helps! :)

    • @nnataliered

      @@nnataliered The way to do it is fingers at the corners of your mouth, not on the cheeks.

    • @dylanschweitzer18

      as a vocal teacher i highly recommend the lip trills, the tongue is not necessary just another way of executing a similar exercise.

    • @TheSandkastenverbot
      @TheSandkastenverbot Před 2 lety +11

      Because normal people are perfectly fine with girls' stuff being marked pink and guys' stuff blue. And becaue guys who can sing very high are probably smart enough to look for women's singing exercises. Any other questions?

    • @lunaaaaaaar
      @lunaaaaaaar Před rokem +2

      its not sexist dont worry! because females have different voices to males so girls csnt sing as low as men and men csnt go as high as women so they do seperate excersises!
