Phenomenal. The physics part in Blender gets the least amount of attention for years now. The particle system is like 20+ years old now and the mantaflow fluid system is out of date, the development of the framework itself has stopped years ago and the dev who implemented it in Blender has left blender as well hence there hasn't been any developments. I've spent months and months trying to get good sim results in Blender and finally had to learn Houdini but you crazy guy actually did it. Hopefully, the new node based physics system will replace all of these old systems in Blender will let people create more complex yet better looks unified sims in Blender.
Dude I'm soooo excited to see where the simulation nodes go. I've already seen some really promising results! Hopefully it can kinda replicate the Houdini workflow eventually!
@thevisualdude8286 Yeah, keeping the old system just because people can't learn new features wouldn't be a good thing for Blender as a whole, then it will never evolve in the long term. Beginners aren't gonna be beginners forever. And if you're talking about each feature for physics being one node in the new system, that's not decided yet but I can imagine that would make the new system easy but very basic and rudimentary in the long run. The physics system in blender is very old and it's not gonna go well with the new node based system as nodes are the future for Blender (Everything nodes project) but they are most likely gonna keep the old system until the new system gets all the features enough to replace the old one.
That's one hell of an undertaking for one guy at home. I love this kind of stuff, the endless shortcuts and tricks and I also love when everything is done in the viewport, which is basically what I'm seeing here - no compositing other than some postprocessing right? Great stuff, here's one more sub
excellent work and explorations/troubleshooting with a standard blender no third party addons these types of tutorials are invaluable to the people understanding and getting the most out Blender as it is for everyone, and can show that things are possible without masses of money and addons to achieve results that in context and with a narrative can be as accessible to all who enjoy doing it and using Blender! much appreciated!
There is still room for improvement in the splashing effect and the interaction of objects with the waves of a tsunami, especially in the foam aspect. You can use Dynamic Paint to achieve this function
Damn, this is looking amazing, I love what you did with the trees. It would look more realistic if you split the buildings into bigger chunks that stick together though, instead of smaller pieces, specially the roof, like you did in the advanced destruction video, and eventually it gets swallowed by the wave. Building pieces stick together in big chunks while they're collapsing. The wood supports are also very small, so they would just break in half or around the top or end. I suppose it would be faster to render as well. The tsunami scene in the movie "Hereafter" is quite a nice example of what I'm saying. 👍 You inspired me to get into CGI someday, your videos are awesome, seems like a cool thing to try.
5:21 I really like the way your are aproaching your videos. You dont really care if something is not perfect and in the end it turns out really amazing. like for example the stones just randomly shifting. Do you know why they randomly shifted?
you reach the blender fluid sim potential. The water flow after destruction seems quite planar. you can do some post work in after effects to add more waves to add realism.
Can you make some kind of destructions, like destruction of a dam with water and the flow of liquid from this dam? Is it even possible to animate such kind of things in blender?

Some stupid hint to save some braincells for those who use blender fluid sim: Its better to set particle size to 1.05 so particles would not just disappear randomly and not made fluidsim looks retarded AF... yyyyep
Amazing work! My only minor criticism is that the buildings appear to break apart before the water hits them.

Is it better with nodes now@@xanzuls
Excellent work from start to finish. Great workflow with some clever problem solving at every stage. Really impressed. Cheers.
Thank you mate I really appreciate it!
Your method for the houses are the highlight of this tutorial for sure
Cheers!
Love your vids man, I like how you explain the things simply and concisely instead for beginners like me
I love your work, you push the blender to the limit, keep going and good luck for your work!
Thank you very much my friend!:)

Haha right, it's a lot of workarounds!

Cheers man! That's exactly my idea with these videos :)
@@AlbinThorburnhey man I have a question how Do you make the water? Is a transparent object but with textures?
Beautiful work! Thanks for sharing.
🙏 thank you very much

Bruh. Why is there ALWAYS room for improvement 💀

Awesome work man
Cheers man glad you liked it!
Really amazing stuff!
Thank you!
Underrated.
Your videos are so helpful. Im excited to watch this video :)
Thanks man appreciate the support!
nice work !
Amazing work 👏
Really nice techniques !!
Thank you!
Awesome!!

Do you know why they randomly shifted?
Hahaha yeah it got messed up a little bit but I thought meh, the focus will be on the wave approaching 🤣
You should've just check the animate image sequence check box instead of making a whole node set up. Amazing simulation btw!
Loved it
Keep up the grind bro!
Gotta play some poker soon tho ;)
Haha good luck man!

great video
Wow... That looks great... 🔥a tsunami with no water simulation
Very nice. keep it up bro
Epic bro 👊🏻
Thanks💪💪💪
Greetings from Brasil. Incredible job. Congrats.
Thank you!! Greetings from Sweden ☺️
Looks so cool
Thank you!
Some buildings broke too early, and maybe using foamy affects where the water collides with trees etc?
Dude that would have been awesome
This looks fucking amazing!
Bro thank you!
I think you're one of the best in this industry if not ye, very soon you'd be. Keep going.
Dude thank you! I'm flattered
underated much
You should try making a tornado!
very talented! the camera wobble on the above scenes was a little dizzying but a+
Thank you!! Haha true, it's easy to go overboard with the shake 😂
It would be very helpfull for me to create some action or epic scenes for my shorts. Pls suggest some more cinematic detailes for this kind of scene.
Have you tried the addon, Flip Fluids? It is the first and only addon I purchased for Blender and it is spectacular.
peep the chair disappearing 5:19 and then reappearing at 5:25 in the middle of the pool 😭
so clever ♥
Thank you☺️
ngl the animation remind me of indonesia 2004 tsunami incident, btw nice animation
Wow 😱

Hello,
Great work ! Is it possible to export Blender FX to Unreal? Best
There should be some effects on trees also
Hi there - How could I make a massive wave that looks real? Like Moses splitting the sea style? Thanks :)
Y está mas o menos! 🤚👌😄 Bien ahí gato!
Could you explain the "animated water" a little more, or share the scene please?
good video, what's your pc specs?
Living in Southeast Asia I have to say that looks quite accurate.
Lamooo
Ooooh shiiiit
Wow
This is defintely one of your best-animated destruction scenes you've done!
Thank you!
I think your work is great but i would spend more time in audio fx a really important part but 👍 nice job
Starting to think this guy likes destruction simulations 🤔
Haha I don't know what you're talking about 😅
Can you make a full on tutorial?
its cool but one of the pool chairs is randomly disappearing before the tsunami hits...
Hahahaha I KNOW!!! I have no idea what that was all about... I must have removed some rigid body object after baking so the order got all messed up...
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🇧🇷
Is ever be a plane crash remake?
I might! Would be fun to do plane crash VFX shot
What are your PC specs?
🗿👍😎🍷
Please please Cover a tornado 🌪️
I want thise clip and more clips
Cover a tornado 🌪️

Water part was confusing
Haha for me too 🤣
@@AlbinThorburnhow do you make the particles for the water?
makeing blender 2.9
