as you can see in this video, akutagawa join the ADA, while atsushi join the port mafia. "How did this happen?" first, we have to know how dazai could make a plan to "save" odasaku. Dazai found the "book" when he was possibly younger than 15, and when he found it, he touch the book and nullify the book ability, create a singularity where he's able to access dazais memory in another universes, not just the original universe. he saw what happen to odasaku in those other universes, thats when dazai started to make a plan. Dazai made oda not getting influenced by the port mafia on their first time meeting each other by hiding his identity (i honestly didnt read the side b "the day i picked up dazai" yet, so im sorry if im wrong and feel free to correct me or add things that i still dont know!) and then make oda join the ADA instead. fast forward to the night where he met akutagawa, dazai didnt offer him to join the port mafia and talk to him a bit but he kidnap akutagawa sister (gin), and if i remember correctly, he met atsushi in the same night and make him join the port mafia after that. 4 years later, oda meet akutagawa who's starving and make him join the ada, and atsushi being dazai subordinate. One day, dazai gave atsushi an order to give the ADA a picture of a girl (gin), cause akutagawa has been searching for her since the day she got kidnapped or join the port mafia, they were talking and laughing before it turned into a fight cause akutagawa got mad when he saw the picture of her sister cause he thought gin life is in danger. the next day (?) he went into the port mafia HQ to find his sister, but ofcourse the port mafia fight back and ofcourse he"s fighting with atsushi. After a long heated fight, atsushi lost to akutagawa and at that time, dazai walk in and explaining them abt the book and the universes thingy before he..... jump off the building :). "what happen to akutagawa and atsushi?" akutagawa still in the ADA, btw he failed to find his sister as she didnt want him to be in her life again and akutagawa accepted that and stopped searching for gin. while atsushi got fired and got back to the orphanage where he was raised, the new headmaster is mori the former headmaster died because of atsushi on atsushi bday (angst ;c).

Different universe where Dazai is PM Boss, Chuuya is his bodyguard/second, Odasaku is in the ADA, Atsushi is in the PM, Akutagawa is in the ADA and hates Dazai for kidnapping his sister, Dazai secretly has memories of OG universe, a bunch of universes were made using the book by I think OG dazai in order to find a universe where odasaku doesn't die. In the end, Dazai self exits and the end because it's the only way to save odasaku.
