Some great pickups, I was surprised at how engaging Sully was, I wasn't sure how it would translate it to film. Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon is a classic, a transcendent film, hope you dig it. I need to check out Don't Think Twice.

Really excited with how it turned out but you're right, they made it quite engaging. Thanks for watching Jay!

Great update nick. Crouching tiger is awesome. There's a sequel on Netflix that came out last year. I thought sully was good but I'm not sure if it's Clint east woods Best.

Hey man! I like that the light separates you and the background but is very blue. Not sure if white balancing would be able to fix that for you! Anyways, I've been picking up some 4Ks as well.. but for movies I watch a second time and like them far less (i.e. Suicide Squad and Jason Bourne). Love the content man!

      Yeah, more than likely.
Haha, I'm making sure I really enjoy them before I pick up a 4K, for the most part. i.e. Crouching Tiger. Glad you like it man!

I havent done the 4k thing yet. Thats a whole upgrade to do tv, player, etc. Bridge of spies was solid I guess it just wasnt 'special.' I have to chec out Sully, heard good things.

Quite the investment, hopefully it will be worth it.

Seems like something's off with this setup, maybe that light is too close to the camera lense cuz now your looking bright white like a ghost in the video, whereas before everying looked more natural and clear in my opinion. Anyways, I think you'd like Crouching Tiger. The Martial Arts Action supports the story instead of it being the focus. I remember it being nominated for best picture back in 2000.

I'm a little more intrigued now that I know that about Crouching Tiger. Thanks for the feedback!

Good pickups Filmies. I don't think I'm going to get into 4K. I'm to the point of getting tired of always having to get the next best thing. Blu-ray is good enough for me and I have over 900 Blu-rays in my collection and a lot of Dvds. What does Seth, Nick D, and Matt think of 4K? Do they have it yet or will they get it?

I agree, I agree. This may be my last upgrade if they ever try to make it better than it is. It's been talked about before but i'm pretty sure they're on the side of, their next upgrade will be 4K but that's whenever their current stuff goes out.

its all about your equipment you're viewing it on to really see the difference in 4k UHD. If you're watching on Samsungs 2016 player or an Xbox one S its on non HDR tv its pretty much pointless to give an opinion because its going to be a negative one. If you need a player now go for the Panasonic or the Oppo, yes they are more money but in the world of technology you pay what you get for. In terms of TVs OLED is absolutely the way to go and lucky for the consumer 2017 is going to have a shit load of them and a lot of models taht will be affordable for the public. We will also be seeing Samsungs 2nd 4k Player as well as Panasonic and Sony and LG will be introducing their first players with Dolby Vision which is very important feature to have considering a lot of studios will be releasing 4K UHD with HDR10. The main advantage of 4K UHD is the HDR, that is the real gamer changer.

It's just mighty tough to keep up anymore. Thanks for all the info! Definitely need to just research a ton.

yea tahts technology for ya, does get annoying. This is a good year to invest if you're going to make the move, all major companies have dropped 3D from all their 2017 TV line and are only focusing on 4K HDR10/DV. Bluray is here to stay its the last format we will see on physical media, 4k is a niche sub bluray format for the consumers that want to take their viewing experience to the next level. For me I never use DVDs so BD combo packs don't make any sense compared to 4K combo packs. Its all preference, I'm also not rebuying everything on 4k, just the titles that have upgraded audio (Dolby Atmos) and better picture quality. which is about 90% of the current available 4K titles.
