  • Calls are mounting for President Cyril Ramaphosa to step down from his position, pending the outcome of the ongoing investigations into the robbery that took place at his Phala Phala game farm. The latest of these calls is from African National Congress (ANC) veteran, Mavuso Msimang - who says it is advisable for the President to step down for sake of the stability of the ANC and the country. The President and his office have chosen not to comment on the matter saying they would rather allow relevant law enforcement agencies to investigate.
Last month, former state security head, Arthur Fraser laid a criminal complaint against the president. Those charges include money laundering and the subsequent alleged torture of some of the suspects. To help us unpack this and other developments, we are now joined by political analyst, Aubrey Matshiqi

@@siyathembasiazmatshaya7074 In my opinion it is the entire party that has failed in its elective mandate - so the party should be removed from office and not just the President. The President is merely a deployee of the NEC - we should not forget that. In the same manner that people want to hold Ramaphosa to account for being on those ANC committees while Zuma was President - we should hold those NEC members to account as well who were there in the background all along. Having Ramaphosa replaces with one of them won't really make much of a difference.

I think the person who had the best policy of governance was the late Hendrick Verwoerd!Unfortunately he was on the extreme but I think it was best as Bantustans! Very sad for Africa!
