Appreciate the cost calculator included in this video.
Would love to see more of your wife's reactions to your projects when you're finished.
Really enjoyed the new filming style. Well done. I’m working on built ins today so this was helpful.
The tent idea for painting in your garage is genius!!
"We went almost 50% overbudget which isn't too bad" XD
It looked like he went with hardwood, poplar finished, 3/4” ply for the carcasses. But ended up painting it anyway. He probably could have gone with a sanded ply to lessen costs. But also material sourcing these days is tough. Same with the choice pine face frame pieces. But you can’t argue with the end result and I don’t mind cost overruns if it turns out worth it. Great project.
@@bboggio28 yeah that's a great point, lumber prices have been insane due to supply chain issues from Covid. I completely restored a 16x7 trailer this summer and the lumber alone was $415
Meh, oh well, the whole project was probably about the same price as the Yeti cooler that was stored on top of it lol
Could you imagine growing up in a house with a dad like this so much knowledge and skill to soak up
CONGRATS ON 500k
I like everything but the paint job, should have done a couple coats so you don't see the primer through
Would love to see the reaction of your wife! Did she liked it how it came out! I really love the end result- it’s awesome well
Done !!!
You almost took out the garage door opener when you broke your old storage. New shelf looks GREAT!!
Whoever buys this house the day you guys decide to sell it (IF THEY DO SELL IT) is gonna hit the jackpot
Looks great! One piece of advice I would have done for the back wall of the cabinets is adding a piece of masonite or eucaboard. That way the finish on the wall is super smooth, eliminating the blemishes that were highlighted from the paint.
Sweet build! Looks amazing
Turned out great!
This is exactly what I needed, looks great.
Love it!!
Love the filming style and the budget included. Really puts things in perspective when planning out projects. Thanks!
Great job Alex!
Alex you need to try Benjamin Moore Scuf-X paint. It is amazing for cabinets, durable smooth finish and quick dry time. I guarantee you will never use the emerald paint again
I appreciate the budgeting so much! Most people don’t share it but it’s so useful!
the builtins came out great!
It looks really good
Mans got a whole new production crew! Solid work!
Whenever you sell this house, whoever buys it is one lucky family! haha
That router bit to make the rails and stiles... awesome!
This is really beautiful! I also really like how you filmed it! The new style you're using is really cool!
This gives me a great starting point for building out my own entry way. Now I just need the tools. :)
Some outrageous cross cuts on that table saw. Bending the quarter inch ply to keep the edge straight. Would love to have a table saw that big with a proper fence. So satisfying to watch.
Great cabinets mate.
Upgrade your hvlp sprayer to the Graco battery powered one it's expensive but you would love it. Especially with the fine finish tips and you don't need to thin your paint out, even the corded one that takes the fine finish tips.
I love that Upward bag 🏀👏🏻👏🏻
Freakin hilarious! I literally did the same thing to justify building new end tables for our fam room. Wife couldn't believe both drawers broke the same day. 🤣 Keep up the awesome reno builds!
Nice build with lots of functionality.
This is awesome
His editing is amazing ! Very professional.
Plywood is sanded on both sides after it's laminated. Final dimensions of 1/2" plywood are therefore about 1/16" less, thus your screw problem.
Nice job.
Don’t tel Mere moment - big demo ranch vibes - great video
Enjoyed that😍
This guy keeps the maple plywood companies in business
AWESOME! Great edits!
My gf said this morning that we should ask our builder to do this. I said it was a project I wanted to take on myself. And then this comes out. The timing couldn't be more perfect!
Great video! Love the lockers. I want to build some now 😁
Looks awesome! I'm going to be building practically the same thing for my mudroom (except twice the size with a bench) next month so this helps a lot!
Very smart. Massive improvement on what was there plus makes the room cool, smart and very classy 😉👍👌💖
Lisa UK 👏👏👏👏
Looks good !
"droors" hahaha... must have been an early morning. Like the new editing style though, great job!
I bought a kreg eurohinge jig and it was the best purchase ive made besides my kapex
Thats a great idea. Thanks for sharing,
I just built a 18 inch deep media Consol and ran into the same concern that you did with the 16 inch depth. Wish I would’ve thought of that before
Great job as always, it turned out awesome... Congrats on the 500K
I like it, nice job. If I had a challenge for your building style it would be to incorporate some dado's and rabbet joints into your design. It will strengthen, straighten and cut down on your need to double up your plywood which will make it more efficient on the wallet. When I built my kitchen i milled all the sides and drawers with dado joints and rabbets and then assembled them with brads and glue. Pocket holes are great but are only really needed on the face frame and that really locks the frame together and then the frame to the cabinet box which is where your shear strength comes from.
You are awesome! I just wish I had a setup like yours!
Nice
👍🏽 nice work.
Seriously the filming style was great
Your lockers looked great.
Really stepped up your game. Congrats!
Dope
Looks really good bro 👌🏼
Awesome Alex! Keep up the great content!
Great video greetings from sweden - stockholm
Next video should be you building a modern fence with parallel to ground slats
This video should come out way before I built my shoes rack..It function much better..
Great editing ! Lockers look great man
Yeah, Behemoth! \m/
Ha!! I thought I was the only one that would break stuff so I could replace it!!
PLEASEEEE- Do a breakfast nook next!
Man you really ought to do a shop tour!
Thumbnail shows why MDF center panels are superior plywood for paint grade
Should do a diy kids play set
U the best 👌
💛lol Most excellent.
500k ohhh yess :)
Hi
Keep up the great vids. You are badas$
You already know I'mma say great project but, the cost breakdowns in the video are great. Hoping all is well, Dirty Jersey out!!
I like the finished product. However I think I would have left the interior white for better visibility inside. 🤔😃👍🏻
Dude you're awesome! You look great with your tats! Some guys can pull it off some can't, but you sure can.
"Besides mines broken"..
🙄
😂😂
Hey, guessing this was posted by someone, but just in case. If you put the pocket screws on the outside of the carcas, you can hide a lot of them, Basically you put the screw holes facing out. Then when it's against the wall, you can't see 'em. Other than that, nice build sir! Found you via John the Builder link and love that you're like me. If I buy the tools, I can figure this out. It's just different sizes of boxes...lol.
Also, the screws were too long because the plywood isn't "actually" 1/2 inch. It's usually 1/8 to1/16 smaller (at least at my local big box store.) so you have to adjust it down a bit. Learned this the hard way....
I did sooo many double-takes... There are places in this video where you look and sound just like Chris Pratt... O.o
Enjoyed the video a lot, thanks for sharing your awesome :)
These look amazing!! How long did this take you?
New subscriber 💪😎
Mom and Dad will share one. Said every man ever but never materialized.
My garage welcomes you to come visit!!
Are the paint imperfections due to the plywood finish?
Thanks for sharing! I noticed you shooting paint outside with a little bit of snow? We live in WI and keep the shop very well heated, though propane limits some finish choices. Always looking for work arounds with this
This video is so satisfying... if someone built me these, I'd die.. lol 😂
Love it - great color! How did Irena like it?
debating whether or not this is a craft i’d want to get in to. i’d want to build a shed, but would want to see how you make one vs. the others out on youtube. convince me brother 🙏
Podcast coming out soon?
best intro. “its broken”
Love the video! I have been wanting to build these in my garage for years. One question...
I see in the video, you are using a Dewalt Brad nailer, but the Brad nail guns listed in your tools list link to a Milwaukee nail gun. What model Dewalt are you using and are you happy with it? I am looking to get a 20v Dewalt brad or finish nailer.
Ooo you got in trouble 🤣
Thanks for the great video. I'm going to be building my own to partition off my garage entry into my laundry room. Just got a quick question on if you did any finish trim for the toe kick which was exposed on the short side? Or if you just covered it with plywood and painted to match? Couldn't tell from the video.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I really like when you talk about things like the warped wall, screws punching through, and wood filler. Too many people make these projects look flawless which is discouraging when you see most things don't line up perfectly the first time!
