Well, this was a fun one to learn - but very difficult to execute! This has to be one of the most, if not THE most, difficult songs I’ve done so far and I’m very happy with how it turned out. I learned the entire thing by ear, which was quite the process haha! I really love the new Vildhjarta though, so that made it a bit easier ;)
I remember browsing the internet on my old crappy laptop way back in 2011, and discovering this band out of the blue on some internet forum and I was blown away by it. At that point I’ve never heard something so massive like Omnislash: combining those kinds of low-tuned rhythms with big ambients and a larger-than-life production was completely new to me. Måsstaden Under Vatten reignited my love for that sound instantly, which resulted in me doing this playthrough!
Essentially this band is responsible for later getting me into bands such as Textures, Northlane, etc. And many of those bands changed music for me in a big way! So, thank you Vildhjarta!

Absolutely haha! Buster is an inspiration man. Not sure how everything went down precisely, but I imagine he's perhaps the biggest driving force behind Vildhjarta right now, and one can only respect that

@@seanbdrums - I've never heard of Adams Drums. I have a 20 year old Collarlock set (Mid range DW drums) that I still play. One day I want to setup a bunch of mics and record some music.
@@brianinthered awesome! Adams Drums are from The Netherlands, which is why you might not have heard of them haha. And you should record some stuff, nowadays you can do some great stuff even on a budget 😄

I just started playing drums this year I'm getting the hang of double bass I want to learn this song so bad it's my favorite but I can't even imagine where to begin
Hey we all got to start somewhere! Obviously it took quite some time for me to get to this 'level' of playing, and only the last two years I feel like I'm totally in control of what I'm doing with my pedals. So that took me about 7 years of double bass playing haha. My advice would be to seriously practice alternating between 8th notes, then triplet feel, and then 16th notes with a metronome or clicktrack at low BPM's (start with 100). Try to do 2 or 4 bars per group. Do this for at least 20 minutes a few days a week if you can. Try and become comfortable and certain of what you're doing and only then increase the BPM with increments of 5. Then for the rest: just try to have as much fun as possible, even if it sounds sloppy! Making music in the end is about having fun mostly, challenging yourself and learning techniques is a different aspect altoghether. Just be sure to have a good posture, keep your snare hits consistent while playing double kick, and have a good hand technique. And stop whenever something hurts that isn't muscle soreness :p Good luck and have fun!
